Profile Scheduler suggestion - Xiaomi Redmi 3s Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hello,
I'm using Redmi 3S/Android 6.0.1, but this goes to all Android users. Is there any reliable app that can automatically schedule profiles, like to automatically switch silent mode during night and to revert back to normal in the morning.
Supposedly that should be built into ROM (DND option), but mine does not function properly, so I'm looking for an app.

Settings - Additional Settings - Battery and Performance - Power - Schedule Profile Switch (turn on, set start&end, select profile).

Tasker is a choice

[Q] Is this possible to do?

Was wondering if this was possible. If I put my phone on silent, is it possible to have certain phone #'s still ring ?
Just wondering, as this was a great feature on my Blackberry....
Currently running 4.3
Thanks
Not natively on android but you can probably get that to work using tasker app.

Llama can have noisy contacts too, it also has pretty good sound profile mangement. I usually have my phone to almost silent when I am not logged into my home wireless network and at home I have the ringtone all the way up, Llama switches that automatically. If I need a completely silent phone I just activate my silent profile and lock it for x minutes/hours, after that time it switches back to the right profile. It is not as powerfull as Tasker, but its way easier to create rules and profiles, also it doesn't need root (but I guess Tasker also doesn't for simple things?).
hmmm, thanks I'll check those out

Do not disturb with Tasker? Is there a way to make it work?

I set two time profiles to control dnd setting automatically for the night.
First I set it to priority. Second profile then resets it to none as that removes the priority icon from toolbar. I realised that all sounds are gone after that.
If I set it to all, priority icon stays in status bar.
I tried also to do just a single profile with ending time, but that also left priority icon to the bar.
Is there a way to get priority mode to work with tasker?
What are you trying to achieve? If it's setting DnD for the night automatically, you don't need tasker for it. Have you tried using automatic rules in DnD settings?

I have same issue and I can't find solution yet. I use set volume as workaround.
Oneplus seriously damaged DnD. Shame.

Adjusting volume is not that good.. Nothing comes through with that. I'd like to be reachable by phone for known callers. I quess we have to wait cyanogen to fix the rom
I've had the same issue. Tasker will remove the 'priority' status but screws up the volumes. The only way round it at the moment is to leave slider in normal, use tasker to set priority when needed, then on return to 'normal' from tasker move slider to mid position then back to normal. This seems to reset volumes back to normal. Hopefully oneplus can sort out this DND issue and allow software to override the slider.

I've found a way. Leave slider in mid position (priority) and use the inbuilt priority settings to allow normal audio to be heard. I've got tasker to set DND to priority and volume to 3. When full DND is needed, set tasker DND to 'alarms'. This kills all audio except alarms. Use tasker to go back to DND 'priority' for normal use. This does leave a constant priority notification at the top but audio seems to work. By using tasker/audio/silent mode, you can create a vibrate only mode that stops audio but keeps vibrate notifications with respect to the priority mode settings at a system level.

Good catch! You can delete the constant priority notification through Customisation/ Status bar

Nice one! You can then add custom tasker notify icons to display silent or vibrate modes.

One thing I realised is that having the slider in the mid position i don't get any notifications (without activating DnD).
Any thoughts?

Mine seems to work. On the alert slider settings make sure you have calls and messages set to 'everyone' under the priority settings. For other apps like Gmail or WhatsApp, go to 'app notifications' under sound and notifications and set them to notify when in priority mode. This is a bit of a pain but gets over the software controlled notifications issue until oneplus can sort something out.

Aha! Key was to set all apps under "app notifications" to notify when in priority! Now i think its working!
Many thanks!
I know it's a kind of trolling but somebody may not realise this - by using CM13 you have the best of both worlds built in.
You have stock android DND (automatic) and you can also customise what the button does. [I don't use neither of these features but noticed them in CM settings panel while setting up my device]
Hey @yourmate
Anything else missing/not working properly beside Dash Charge on CM? I am waiting to make sure it is stable (one thing I cannot afford are random reboots). For example, I am not using them, but curious, are the Op3 gestures available or gone? (V and O to enable flashlight/Camera - CM's anywhere gesture was not great I thought)
Automated DnD is for me the main issue on Op3, and I also liked CM's auto-brightness/Night mode. Kind of feel going back several years haha

Everything fine. Gestures works. No reboots so far. Instead dash charge and camera much better then oos. And camera will be ported very soon I think.

TBH I haven't used OOS for a second so I cannot really compare the two but I've bought this phone only for two reasons anyway:
- dual SIM
- official CM support
Sorry for being a bit OT
Sounds great guys. I guess I'll just ditch OOS for CM this week end then and forget all that DnD shenanigans once and for all

With OOS 3.2.2 DND works correctly with tasker!
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
I can also confirm everything seems fixed in OOS 3.2.2. I can set the alert slider to any position and then run a tasker task to set vibrate only, all audio or silent mode. The slider can be used to override the tasker setting but tasker can be run again to re establish the desired sound profile.

I can confirm that this is resolved with OOS 3.2.2
Strange that my device couldn't find the 3.2.2 update. Installed it manually via TWRP without problem though.

Device is stuck on a silent-schedule

Hey,
I upgraded my device from a Nexus 5. In my Nexus 5 I had an option in the Settings to create a schedule for silent times (or priority only). Before I did the switch, I had a setting on to put the device on silent mode at 21:30. Now, in my OnePlus3, I notice that it also goes silent at 21:30 every day (it probably automatically migrated this setting along with the other settings when I first set up the device). But in the OnePlus 3 I no longer have a setting to disable this schedule... This is extremely annoying, because when the device goes into Silent mode I can't even turn up the volume with the volume rocker, I have to physically push the alert slider to "silent" mode and then back to "all notifications" mode.
The device is not rooted and I'd much rather keep it this way if I can.
I hate the fact that there something going on that I can't switch off...
Ideas? Tips? any thoughts will be highly appreciated.
Several people have reported this problem and I have it as well. You are correct that it comes from transferring the settings from your previous phone to the OP3 which has no way to control do not disturb settings through software. None of the suggested fixes have worked for me. My hope was that the new OTA, which apparently had notification fixes would stop it, but it did not. The only thing that has been reported as working all the time is wiping the phone entirely and setting it up as new without transferring your old settings. If you still have your old phone, you could change the settings on it to remove all dnd settings, use it for a bit so that it backs up and then try setting up your OP3 again. I plan on doing that or starting new and fresh later this week.
Edit:
Here's the other thread on this. Looks like the problem exists for people who did clean installs as well. http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/help/disturb-settings-t3400979
Had this problem, too. I did transfer the settings from my old phone, but I had no DND settings active on this device (in fact I never ever used DND). The only way to get out of this silence loop was to restart the phone and set the slider to priority and back to all.

That didn't fix it, the behavior returned after a while.
Apparently this is a big issue:

Late Notifications (L29) - Any fix?

Hi Guys,
I still have some late notifications once in a while from different programs.
Line (Messaging)
Google Calendar
HQ (Trivia game)
And a few others...
I have made sure to disable the "Auto" power manager setting for those apps and most of the time they do work normally. However once a week or so I miss a calendar notification or other notifications. I'm guessing this has to do with the aggressive background task killing on Chinese phones, or maybe the AI stuff? Either way, I want my notifications to work and come in on time.
Are there any hidden settings I am missing to disable background task killing? (I had an older Huawei phone that allowed you to disable Huawei memory management in developer settings, but that's not on this phone)
Thanks!
I'm having the same issue on a mate 20 pro, but up to now I could not find a resolution. It's annoying as our doorbell works with a push message that does not always gets delivered instant now.
Try locking the app along with turning off smart notification and turning on the setting to keep mobile active when in sleep mode. Seemed to work for my AL00 which has aggressive power handling.
on top of changing auto mod for app launch there's also battery optimization which isn't in battery menu but in application - special access menu. Try to disallow apps you need maybe it helps.

Auto Dark Mode for OnePlus 7 Series

Hi
I've got myself an OnePlus 7T and also enjoying my Pixel 4. On the Pixel 4 it is possible via third party app to automate the on/off of Dark Mode. However I cannot see it's possible with the OnePlus 7 Series?
I've heard that it's somehow possible with Tasker. But has anyone here experience with that?
Thanks.
Go into developer options. There should be an option to force dark mode

It's there, but I wouldn't use it. It makes elements/texts wrong color on many apps that probably don't support it.

Yea. Tasker makes it a breeze. You can automate it however you want.
Spesific apps can turn it on, others can turn it off.
Certain schedule, time or days, you can make it every weeknight, two hours Saturday and the whole of Sunday if you want.
Connected to WiFi networks or Bluetooth devices can enable it.
You can even have it enabled during low light only, or under a certain threshold. The list is unlimited ?

Nice. But is this system wide ? Do you have any Tasker scripts or what it's called that can do this? ?
Cheers

Tasker only changes system settings, it doesn't "create" its own stuff. So basically It's simply toggling the dark mode on or off depending on the parameters you set. If your phone has system wide setting, then that's what it'll toggle.
It's an automation tool that can automate what you currently do manually.
Have you got tasker? Have you played with it?
Just create a profile you want, for example: time
Then set the parameters (example 7pm to 7am)
Then choose an action, search for dark mode. You can either set it to toggle or to on/off
If set to on, make an exit task too, again chose dark mode and off.
If you want a certain app to trigger it, then choose that app, etc. You can have an or or conditions etc.
Think: If this and this but not that then X.
Look at tasker tutorials for more parameter alternatives.
