ADB Sideload stops at 47% - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Hi all.
ADB sideload, stops at 47% is that normal?
I did push and ROM and Gapps zip.
But is running smooth?
So it's ok/normal? I run latest TWRP
Edit: Never Mind. I just sold my OP3.
I go back to an iPhone.

[Q] Stuck in recovery

Hi All
I was in the process of rooting, installing TWRP, and eventually attempting to get to CM10.1. I was able to get the TWRP but now stuck and cannot proceed further. When my Kindle boots it comes up with the orange and then switches to the blue logo and does not proceed. I can only get it to jump into TWRP mode and will then pull up the cmd prompt from there to try and troubleshoot.
When I run adb devices it will state that daemon is not running and then start it on port 5037. It will also note the serial number as well as state 'recovery' rather than 'device'. I have attempted to return it to the factory boot but it will only say that it is waiting on the device without any change. I can get it into fastboot mode by starting the server.
How do I get out of recovery mode? I have tried many different ways without any luck. Please help.
Thanks
Matt
When I get into fastboot mode I attempt to enter fastboot oem idme bootmode 4000. However it will then state waiting on device. I am stuck.
Fastboot commands need to have "-i 0x1949", also you should be able to push a new ROM onto the kindle in twrp to flash using "adb push filename.zip /sdcard/filename.zip" and install from there, you either don't have an is right now or the kindle os isn't booting because its a newer version that detects twrp and doesn't let it boot up.

Thanks for responding.
I am now attempting to use adb sideload to push the ROM but it isn't working. I start the sideload feature within TWRP and then code in cmd prompt. I am getting 'error: closed'. Maybe I have a driver error? I have Android Phone>Android ADB Device.
Don't bother with side load if it errors, just let twrp load and run the adb push command I mentioned above, it should put the zip onto your sdcard so u can flash it.

So I think I am on the right track for the sideload. Yet still stuck. I have adb sideload running in TWRP and when I put in adb devices in cmd prompt it now gives me the serial number and notes sideload. Trying to push the zip folder, cm-10.1-20130812-UNOFFICIAL-jem, to the device. I have tried to use the full path, C:/users/name/file/etc. followed by /sdcard/filename but still coming up short.
got it!!
Thank you!

ADB Sideload stuck at 47%

Hi all
I'm starting to suspect that the partition my recovery uses as temp storage is full.
It gets stuck in the flashing process, I just tried side-loading with adb and it is now stuck, and has been for 1 hour.
Latest message from ADB says:
Code:
serving: cm-13.0-20151221-NIGHTLY-m8.zip (~47%)
Latest message from my recovery (latest stable CM)
Code:
Finding update package...
I have S-ON, but haven't had any problems flashing updates to cm so far
Any ideas?
I have the same problem on Sony Xperia M. It stops at 47% on cmd terminal, but on the phone it continues however I'm on bootloop now and couldn't get help anywhere.

Sideload is very finicky. I've seen it fail and cause a lot of problems, where simply flashing from other means works just fine.
If you have a USB card reader and a MicroSD card, just put the ROM on the MicroSD card, insert into phone, and flash it from there (using custom recovery).
Otherwise, try to adb push the ROM to the phone's storage. Then flash in your custom recovery.
I don't have any specific experience with your phone, so that is probably all I can help.

Just to update, ADB push wouldn't work, ADB devices printout show device connected on sideload mode only.
So I tryed again untill it worked.
Thanks!

Stuck In soft brick

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster. Before I start, want to apologize for bringing up a regular problem. So I have a second hand one x. Last year decided to root, had a few teething problems but managed it, all was well. Then I got 'too big for my britches.' Decided to update my recovery, didn't check battery and it died halfway through. Thing wouldn't work for ages, no charging, wouldn't turn on etc. Gave it up as hard bricked. Decided the other day for some reason to try it on charger and it charged! Thought I was winning, wrong lol. Successfully flashed new recovery. Tried nandroid backups, (yes I actually did what instructed and made some, lol) seemed okay but when rebooting just kept throwing me to recovery. Then, like an idiot, stumbled across a post, (can't remember where) that gave the 'bright idea' of formating. EVERYTHING. yeah I know, idiot, right here. No more nandroid backups, no ROM. Can't flash a ROM now cos my sd card can't mount, and sideload doesn't work as when in recovery adb can't find device. Any help would be appreciated, been all over this wonderful sight and others and no fixes seem to work for me. So sorry for long post. Oh, its an international model, hboot is 1.73
Update: flashed twrp 2.8.0.0 last night, still can't sideload anything. When using command adb devices shows xxxxxx recovery, but when issuing command adb sideload filename.zip getting error:closed. This is so frustrating aaaah! Can flash any recovery no problems but since I'm unable to mount USB and sideload isn't working am unable to flash a ROM. Tried installing universal adb driver, it installed but changed nothing. Please help!
Solved!

Okay, so I did it! I will leave this here in case it helps anyone.
I deleted htc drivers then reinstalled them. Manually installed adb driver from sdk, device was recognised in adb in sideload mode! I.E. instead of saying xxxxx recovery as mentioned above it said xxxxx sideload. Successfully sideloaded cm 11 nightly I had. Rebooted recovery, installed zip from SD under sideload.zip. rebooted to bootloader, flashed boot.IMG that was inside cm11 zip, then used fastboot erase cache command, rebooted, SUCCESS! CM ROM is on and working! Thanks to everyone who took the time to write the numerous tuts etc I perused before FINALLY fixing this mess. Just downloading compatible gapps now to install. Only problem I have now is its not recognizing my sim card..... *sigh* now to sort that out.

TWRP supports MTP, why don't you just use that and copy the files needed to the storage. I did that multiple times.

ADB bootloader access no longer works?

*deleted*... it works now? fml wtf
ugh issue is back after I got in for a minute.
Is there any way to get a .zip format of the latest TWRP? I can get the stock recovery into adb sideload mode, but I don't think the twrp .img can be installed with sideload?
It's very strange adb doesn't see device in bootloader mode, but can see it when you choose adb from stock recovery screen.
