The Spigen seems to be the current case of choice. The Olixar, http://www.mobilefun.com/61150-olixar-flexishield-zte-axon-7-gel-case-smoke-black.htm, seems to be the same, except a single rear cut-out vs separate cut-outs for each rear camera and fingerprint sensor. Just wondering how close the Olixar is to the Spigen.
This looks like a very basic TPU case, albeit of slightly higher quality then the one in box. The Speigen on the other hand is more comparable to a Commuter otterbox.
The spigen case will offer more protection, but be much larger/heavier. The Olixar case looks like it's probably close to a colored version of the clear one that comes with the phone.
Personally, I don't see a reason to buy any other case than the clear included one until that wears out. Unless I can find a slender kickstand one.

This is the thinnest kickstand one I have seen so far: https://www.amazon.com/MicroP-Layer...F8&qid=1480911193&sr=1-5&keywords=axon+7+case

Way too bulky for me. Thank you for the link though.
The Olixar case seems thinner than the Spigen. In the picture you can see the Axon name on the back of the phone
That microP case with the kickstand is cool, are there other kickstand cases? Here is a question for some one more knowledgeable then my self; do plastic cases interfere with radio communications I.e. NFC, WiFi and Lte?
I had the FlexiShield for my Note 7, really liked how thin it was but the corners were actually a little bit reinforced I think, I'll add an image, protected the screen nicely and minimalistically.

A slim case is what I want, currently using casemate barely there but I don't like the glossiness of the plastic as it attracts fingerprints more than the screen!
I also have the original Samsung mesh case but it has snapped in two of the corners and gets caught on fabric when in pocket etc.
Costs including shipping to UK is ₩ 41000 which works out about £23 - slightly expensive..

hi, i dont recommend you to get that since the bottom of the phone is not protected. thin it may be and it also has a nice textured surface at the back but if protections not good. nahh..
I wouldn't advise a barely there case either they are **** both me and my missis have always had them on a previous phones and found them to be great but for the S2 they are rubbish, both mine and my missis cases have failed in the same way where the volume rocker is, most cases have a cut out but the BT case has a thin piece of plastic round the top which just snaps off. There really was no need for case mate to do it like that as all other cases have a u shaped cutout but this has a stupid bit off weak plastic.
Thanks for the replies guys, might stay away from this one but I can't think of any other good slim cases other than buying another mesh case :-\
Try the Venom Armour Shell case. I have the black one and while protection doesn't match bumper style cases it does offer decent protection and looks/feels great.

Actually one of the better looking TPU cases IMO...
How's the fit seem overall? From the pics it looks great.
I may just pick one up..
Doesn't look very "ultra-thin".
Just a warning, if this is one of those cases with a diamond sort of "embossed" pattern on the inside, you have to be careful to clean dust from the inside, or it'll end up scratching the back of your phone.

Like most TPU and other cases, even the high end expensive ones, dust, lint, sand, soot will get in and eventually may cause scratching. I would assume most people take the time to clean and maintain their devices' appearance and or avoid being sandy, sooty, linty and dusty
Besides, the back will get scratches without anything protecting it as well.. I am waiting for delivery of the backs to my full body protection from XtremeGUARD. (ebay has them for $4 delivered http://www.ebay.com/itm/XtremeGuard...ccessories&hash=item35bcdc39ee#ht_3731wt_1270)

I found these much cheaper, at less than $2 delivered, but can not say if those will be the same as this one.
Here is the ebay link to the other ones, he has some other interesting cases as well, IMHO super cheap. http://stores.ebay.com/E-ChainStore/_i.html?_nkw=s3&submit=Search&_sid=1033895339
As you can see in the pictures above, it is very snug tight form fitting all the cut outs match perfectly and it actually covers the volume rocker and power button. At $4 delivered it is as good if not better than the Diztronic of similar design costing $10+ pictured below.

This is true, but in comparison with other TPU cases, this one as you can see is fairly thin and still offers good bump drop protection.

Used the Aegis on the Sprint Galaxy S-II and it was great. Fit, protection, button worked smoothly without forcing. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the styling. I prefer the more asymmetrical, slightly industrial look. Based on the pics, looks like they went even further with those styling ques for the S-III, but I'm sure the build and protection are going to still be top notch. If you can put up with the 'design by committee' impression the new Aegis shouts, I'm sure you won't have any regrets with it's quality and performance. Don't know much about the Body Glove,... but at least it looks symmetrical, and for me, that's at least a start. Spend some time on YouTube, there are a lot of un-boxings and reviews for many of the S-III cases out there. Good Luck. Any reason the Otterbox Commuter didn't make your short list?
Just didn't like the look of it really. Off had body glove cases in the past, but they've been hard shell cases. I checked in you tube and i just can't tell if the body glove is really silicone like and attracts dust and lint or if it's more rigid? I'll probably end up getting the aegis. I like the sleek profile of it and the design is pretty nifty. Thanks for the info!

I currently have the Trident Aegis case on my Galaxy S3. This is my second trident case and love the case, I like the styling of it and I also like all the options on colors. I do think the trident for the price offers a better protective case than the others at similiar prices. The only issue I would state is the outer layer (hard cover), is a tad bit too tight and feels like it might snap trying to get it on (although its not nearly as bad as trying to remove a otter box defender) which was not a issue with my GS2 trident case, other than that, the buttons function perfectly, it looks good (to me at least) and its protected. Good Luck.

Looks like a different version of the generic hybrid kickstand case that's been available for a few weeks.
Anyone wanna be the guinea pig and order one and post a review? :fingers-crossed:
Edit: Ordered one, see below for review
Bought the case since the green/black one is like $8 shipped. Here's my review
The cause is actually designed for AT&T version (E970), but somehow it fits our LS970 as well.
The Good
- quality seems slightly better than the other case (the one with the kick stand). The silicone is firmer and less sticky, seam from the injection molding is less noticeable.
- fits Sprint version of LGOG, all the ports line up
- looks much better than the kick stand case (IMO)
The Bad
- pretty big, probably the same size as the otterbox, maybe double the thickness of the phone
- fit's not perfect. The top of the silicone skin is slightly pushed up by the size difference, there's a gaping hole on the left side (for microSD/sim card), and the polycarbonate shell covers just the top of the camera lens (doesn't affect pictures taken though)
- the buttons are a bit hard to push, which can be a good or bad thing depends on your preference
Overall
I will probably end up returning it, it's not much better than the kick stand case and I know the fact that everything not fitting perfectly will bother me down the line. But if you want a cheap otterbox alternative this is not bad.

Not bad! Actually looks like a trident case
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
I think the kick stand case looks more like Trident, since they usually have their logo in a cutout in the back of the case. The whole green/black color combo does look very Trident though.
That is weird that it fits if it is made for the E970. Since our device and theirs is a different build. But looks really nice, may give it a shot.
The difference is minimal (5.19" x 2.71" & 5.12" x 2.82") and the silicone skin gives enough room to make it fit I guess.
I have been searching for a slim case that added no bulk to my sleek nexus 5. I looked at Ringke, Spigen but all the reviews on amazon said they damaged the phone corners. I was going to settle for a soft TPU case when I stumbled across this. Poetic sand black case for nexus 5. Even better it was 4.95 with free prime shipping. I figured I would take a shot since I know a lot of people like the poetic cases.
I must say I really do love the case. the cut outs for the buttons are nice, the top and bottom are exposed fully rather than cutouts but the case extends a bit past the ends so they would be somewhat protected on a drop. The case fits like a glove but I have had it on and off a few times and so far no damage to the corners. It adds almost no bulk, infact it makes the phone that much better for me. The sand texture on the case makes it really grippy. It does not slide around in my coat pocket, It feels really nice in my hand, almost like a coated textured metal. It extends far enough that if I flip the phone the glass does not touch the table and the camera lens does not poke out past the back.
Short of a bumper case, which I was not too crazy about this is probably the best case I have seen so far for the N5.

How difficult is it to take off the case? It seems more or less like a SLIM case but instead of using the texture on SLIM it uses sand.
Should've done a forum search. I did a review on the same case about a week and half ago, mang.

More reviews the merrier. OP isn't asking, hes doing his own review.
Decent case but find it unbranded as "quicksand" on ebay for $1-3. Sit back and wait 3 weeks for it to arrive though.
Sorry wrong thread
