Hi... maybe it would be the place to share what firmware (stock) you have in your Nova-Nova Plus...
Im in Quebec Canada with Rogers...
MLA-L03C654B130
Russia
Huawei Nova CAN-L11
CAN-L11C10B101
Huawei Nova CAZ-AL10 (full Netcom 4 GB ram/64 GB rom)
CAZ-AL10C00B130
with Fido (Rogers) in Canada. looks to be the same
Nova Plus MLA-L03
MLA-L03C654B130
looks like firmware build is Model# followed by C# and then B#
Following Huawei Firmware labeling traditions, we still have that something similar to this.
For example, doing getprop you will find:
Code:
# getprop |sort
...
[ro.build.cust.id]: [CAN-L11C432B100CUSTC432D004]
[ro.product.BaseVersion]: [CAN-L11C432B100]
[ro.product.fingerprintName]: [HUAWEI-MILAN]
[ro.product.CustCVersion]: [C432]
[ro.product.CustDVersion]: [D004]
[ro.product.board]: [CAN-L11]
[ro.product.hardwareversion]: [HL1CANL01M]
Thus we can guess that:
Code:
CAN = Refers to the Hardware Platform ("Cannes"?)
L11 = The device hardware model version ("Nova" is too general!)
B100 = Build Version (OTA released firmware)
C432 = The Customization Code version (region/country/service provider)
D004 = The Customization Debug version (patches and bug fixes)
So for example, in the Huawei Firmware Finder app, you can search for "CAN-L11" and you'll get a list of recent firmwares. The Changelog of one of these say:
Code:
Update from L11C432[COLOR=Red][B]B100[/B][/COLOR]CUSTC432[COLOR=DarkGreen][B]D004[/B][/COLOR] to L11C432[COLOR=Red][B]B140[/B][/COLOR]CUSTC432[B][COLOR=DarkGreen]D001[/COLOR][/B]

Hi man!
I'm China device owner too, CAZ-TL10 to be more precise. The device is qualcomm based too, there is no difference (apart from baseband maybe).
Here follows its getprop:
Code:
[ro.build.display.id]: [CAZ-TL10C01B153]
[ro.build.id]: [HUAWEICAZ-TL10]
[ro.product.BaseVersion]: [CAZ-TL10C01B153]
[ro.product.CustCVersion]: [C01]
[ro.product.CustDVersion]: [D153]
[ro.product.board]: [CAZ-TL10]
[ro.product.fingerprintName]: [HUAWEI-MILAN]
[ro.product.hardwareversion]: [HL1CANAL10M]
[ro.board.platform]: [msm8953]
[ro.build.hide.matchers]: [Honor;msm8952;Adreno(TM)405;Qualcomm;HUAWEI CAN;HUAWEI CAZ;CAN;CAZ;]
Do you think that twrp for CAN made by @Xelfmade built will work for my CAZ? I can't test yet, couldn't get the unlock code yet (received my device yesterday, couldn't even apply for it yet).
The TWRP should work unless the partition layout is different. Just give it a try with "fastboot boot twrp.img" that way if it does not work your phone will still be ok.

Those two lines seem very suspicious as they seem contradictory. I doubt the partition layout is the same and therefore TWRP may not work... Different (?) processor, GPU, modem and connectivity.

For now, I can't :/ tried to apply for the unlock code and it seems I need to wait for 14 days until I can apply for it.

I found it strange too, butI don't now what ro.build.hide.matchers means.
ro.build.platform implies that it is msm8953, though.
Having MLA-L03
is it safe to root my device with Kingoroot or Rootkhp...or else ?
is it working ?

Thats not specific enough as too many regions with the same firmware version are available. You can use Phone INFO - Samsung to read out
region code / country
Latest official Android is 4.4.2
firmware I9195XXUCNK1 can be flashed (instaled) using ODIN.

1. In ONE ROM you have MORE THAN ONE COUNTRY
2. By flashing rom, recovery, rooting the phone it is possible to loose warranty or bricking the phone.
3. You can follow these steps:
- Download the rom (firmware) acording to your country from samfirmware or sam-updates websiet.
example 1: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I9195/SWC/
example 2: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I9195/AUT/
In that Rom there will also be country like HU, DE, IT, FR and so on.
The software/rom will "take" the CSC for choosing if is a O2 or an ITM or Vodaphone or Verizon etc. after flashing it.
So, you need to change CSC, if you wish to swich from IT to DE for example, and that CSC to be contained into the ROM.
But to change CSC you need root, as far as I can see.
Read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2751192
section " - How to change CSC? "
I hope it helps.
You will not have any problem flashing different region.
Mine was panama Latin America, but I've flashed Russia, India, Germany, different carrier for my country and all worked fine.

The phone is not listed as SCH-I435L. The firmware version on Samsung's website is SCH-I435ZKAXAR, search engine shows I435"L"... in title but its not listed anywhere on the Samsung website. If you click on "retailer" online or locally you won't get listed any shops selling this model. The common sources for Samsung firmware don't provide any downloads. Its as the phone doesn't exist. Only option left is to contact Samsung's customer care.
It doesn't matter which region you choose.

Hi.
I've purchased a ZE551ml in Taiwan, here in Chile we use 4GLTE 2600(7), the TW version doesn't support that band, I've flashed the latest firmware, and now the version is "LRX21V.WW-ASUS_Z00A-2.13.40.13_20150401-8390_USER044030427_201501060109", this means I'm in the WW firmaware version? If not what can I do, and add support for 4GLTE in 2600(7) band?
Thanks for your help.
It is my understanding you will need to purchase a WW or US version to get band 7 support. The WW version in France should be released soon. No word on the US version.
I am not sure if there are different versions of ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (as for the hardware). I bought the ZE551ML from Taiwan about 2 weeks ago. It came with a WW firmware & I am living in Romania (so Europe). I did had some issues with LTE even after the last OTA update (the network kept dropping again and again). I solved the issues! For me, I only had to change the phone's ATP settings with the ones required by my network operator (Settings -> Wireless & Networks category -> More -> Cellular networks -> Access Point Names). Now I don't have any issue. Maybe you could try to find what settings are required by your network operator.
Thank you for saying this. I also have a TW ZenFone 2 and it came with WW firmware. I thought it was a mistake.

Although it's WW, it's not the same build as real WW model.
I also have Zenfone 2 TW version. Re-flashed it to WW just to make it more generic.

Yeah, true. There is, for example, an asian-market game-store app, pre-installed. Even though my phone came in with a WW firmware, I chose to flash it with the WW ROM from their website (I thought it would have been a more light version with no 3rd-party apps like Kindle, TripAdvisor, etc...but it's the same )
My phone is working with 3G, and network APN are well recognized. Only have problem with 4G. I think the hardware must support all bands, it's a feature of the chipset. So I hope that with a different version of the firmware fue 4G could work.

On the box check C.P/N barcode. Last two letters TW means Taiwan version.
Also, Taiwan version when bootы first time, suggests Chinese Traditional language by default.
Change FIrmware???
I keep reading different people saying: "I had CN firmware so I flashed WW firmware ...." while on the Asus site, from where I got the firmwares, says "DO NOT FLASH FIRMWARE OF DIFFERENT SKU VERSIONS" ... it explains further "CN SKU should flash CN firmware".
Can someone lead me in the right direction and tell me how to flash my CN version to WW version? Do I just flash the WW firmware off of Asus's site?
here is the bands it shut support from the differend versions

It seems that installing a different region firmware will work, but the bands won't. However, i know that the ZenFone 2 uses the same LTE modem in all these ZE551ML devices (Intel XMM 7262 Slim Modem—LTE Advanced). But this modem may come in 2 variants (not sure). I contacted Intel and Asus for more info regarding this. I know that there was an issue with Galaxy S5, for example, where some bands weren't allowed by default (market related), even though the phone supported them.
Flashing firmware from different region won't change supported 4G bands. Bands support relies on region of phone, which is defined in SFI (it's simpler version of ACPI found in PC) OEM1 table, and it's not touched by flashing procedure.
Although, it may be possible to spoof HW region in kernel. But it requires unlocked bootloader.
There may be another way to unlock bands: copy one region specific file set to another region set, but it may not work. This method doesn't require unlocked bootloader.
BTW, there is one more region not mentioned above, called FULL. So, according to name, it should support frequencies from all regions.

Taking a look at the recovery last_log file, the latest WW_ZE551ML_2.15.40.10_20150425 firmware include quite a few ifwi Image FW versions:

ifwi: 0005.00E6
ifwi: 0088.0163
ifwi: 0094.0171

IFWI FW Major version numbers (the first four) have to match before it will flash the firmware.
I suspect these may be the different regional modems in our device, but allows ASUS to push a single firmware.

I don't hope much. There are 2 different ifwi binaries:
Code:
ifwi_ann_a0-mofd_v1-ze550ml.bin
ifwi_ann_a0-mofd_v1-ze551ml.bin
But only one DBG version.
It means, DBG version is for special DEBUG device, with probably special hardware config, neither ZE550ML nor ZE551ML.
It's possible, that ZE551ML and ZE550ML are the same at bootloader stage where existing differences are not touched. But if there is some initialization or even access of device specific config, then wrong bootloader will eventually brick device.
For some unknown reason ASUS choose not to hardlock write access to boot block. It's only "soft locked". It means, with root access you can enable write access and then using dd, you can re-flash boot block. Btw, boot block (IFWI) is written not as-is. Updater reads some kind of settings/config from existing boot block, then copies it to new boot block and then writes it back to flash.
So, it's extremely dangerous to mess with boot block flashing!
Hi
I just bought a ZenFone2 yesterday. It's a China/India variant
Code:
[B][U]551ML Z00_ADB[/U][/B]
- (4GB RAM + 16 GB Internal + 1.8Ghz CPU).
Because it's a "grey import" there's no manufacturor's warranty with it (unless I fly to China) - so I'm gonna get to modding this. Now I've been doing it for years with my previous HTC One and Galaxy S3..
However, this Asus Zen seems to be "too commonly named"... the variants, the different versions.. many of them ZE551ML - yet specs different. In fact it took me 5 minutes just to find this one I bought on any website at all (cuz usually the 1.8Ghz version is supposed to carry 2GB RAM)..
Anyway- sorry to drift off topic - I need a quick/easy link to the right files to turn this into a WW version with all 4G channels open hopefully.
It's currently on Android 5.0 and baseband 2.something...
I don't really want to experiment too much because it's my first upgrade in 4 yrs...
So ideally - I'd be asking anyone familiar with this specific variant to point me in the right direction..
Bootloader/Root
FW Upgrade
WWE Variant
Kernel
MM/Noug (I'd go with AICP but ZenUI does offer some cool stuff)
Very familiar with adb commands and stuff - I've been modding apps and kernels for a long time. *Not*Coder* though.
TIA

Okay - But this variant has only one Chinese band. I travel a lot (and live in UK) so I'd need EU + North America + India/Bangladesh -

TW version will open band 1,2,3,4,5,8,9,18,19,28
WW version will use 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,20
US version 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,17,20
CN version 1,20 on FDD and 38,39,40,41 on TDD
and you can choose any of above version of firmware. to change the firmware you must get RAW firmware of your desired version and flash it via Fastboot commands. there are other ways to do so like flashing ifwi and boot files then updating via zip.. but raw is the most safe method. as there are lot of chances you may brick your device..

as i mentioned earlier none of the firmware will open all the frequencies.
TW version will open band 1,2,3,4,5,8,9,18,19,28
WW version will use 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,20
US version 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,17,20

buddy either you are unable to understand or i am not getting it.... being on latest firmware will not change anything in Band configuration. whatever firmware you are on. either it is very first release or the latest one band configuration will be the same. you have choose firmware according to your required Band Config. don't look at latest release. look at your requirement..

Your msg quote " choose firmware according to your required Band Config. don't look at latest release. look at your requirement. "
My question in my reply " What bout Japan? - They have the latest (Dec 2016) FW "
=
There was no information about the JP SKU FW
- so if I do not know what bands are availabe in THAT FW, then how will I know if it matches requirement?
Choose FW based on Requirement
Don't look at Release FW, look at your requirement. - That's a paradox BUDDY.
Someone has to look at the Released FW (bands + other features) AND then check if it matches their requirement. YES?
Also (separate question)
isn't it possible to merge the various radio_xx.img from different FWs into one CFW so all are open? I've done it previously for HTC One long time ago. I'm wondering if it is different for this device or OS.

unfortunately i tried to activate different bands but no success till now.. as per concern with JP firmware.. download it and look for active 4G bands in tlv file..... i don't have JP firmware on my PC. and not willing to download too. data is too costly Buddy. so check it yourself
Solved it, it was easier than other phones actually sys/intel has the right files that need merging from different variants.

This can only apply to people who purchased the global version that has V9.6.7.0.OEDMIFD installed, as we know that 9.6.6.0 is broken
@nijel8 has received an official global Mi Max 3 (9.6.6.0 OEDMIFD) with working modem from this ebay seller:

there isnt any working modem on 9.6.6.0.OEDMIFD
I tried the default modem, 9.6.12.0 (china modem), 8.8.30, 8.9.6, 8.9.13, 9.6.6.0 (china modem)
I tried changing the vendor partition which broke even more stuff.
Maybe @nijel8 havent checked under ground (parking lots), in door buildings, and more which make the signal so weak.
also there is no LTE/LTE+ on the 9.6.6.0.OEDMIFD
We need someone with the un-released 9.6.7.0.OEDMIFD to confirm this

Don't be so sure as we don't know 9.6.6.0 is broken. You've already said 9.6.4.0 is fake and that wasn't true.
You installation of 9.6.6.0 doesn't proof anything.
We know for sure many times problems are fixed by fastboot rom nad we don't have global fastboot rom released yet to test.
Yes, I haven't tested mine enough to know for sure it runs fine under different conditions so I will not say it has no problems, we've had enough rumors spread around... So let's just leave it to people who have more to say...
I'm on 9.6.6.0 for a week now as a daily driver, no problem at all. So, afaik, 9.6.6.0 is not broken.

I used 9.6.6.0 for a week and I had a lot of signal issues, nav keys failed a lot
I am looking forward to 9.6.7.0 but especially to 9.6.8.0 which has anti rollback so we will be able to fastboot flash it on ARB devices
Global SKU of the phone is not available yet.
I'd suggest waiting if you want modems to work properly - possibly also extra bands and NFC.
Can a phone with a metal back do NFC? Just asking...

I'm not sure if you are aware what are you actually using. The phone does not have NFC. https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_max_3-8963.php That is one of its weak point.
You cannot enable something by software if the hardware is missing.

I'm aware the version currently doesn't, and of course it can't be enabled without the hardware.
However, I was told by a retailer (who are selling 'global' units) that the true global version was not available yet, would be a distinct hardware version, and that it may carry both extra bands and NFC.
"I'm not sure if you aware" that other global versions of Chinese phones have added both an NFC reader and additional bands? It is not unlikely in this case.
I had asked them about the likelihood of a Max 3 Pro coming soon (and with NFC) as Malyasian / Indian e-tailers had re-added pre-orders for the Pro, with October expected date. They said they didn't know, but gave the above information about the global Max 3.

Well I did read about the device quite a bit but I haven't seen anywhere the global version would have NFC. I doubt Xiaomi would change the hardware in the global version. M3Pro on the other hand as you say may come with that but its up in the air yet...
It's rare that Chinese brands release any information ahead of availability of global SKUs, even if the hardware differs (which it not infrequently does).
We'll see.
The Max 3 is apparently among those devices that'll be officially available in European markets .. that makes it a lot more likely that bands and NFC will be added, as there have been in other phones.
I didn't think that there was any difference between the original Chinese variant and the International/Global variant which they began selling in Hong Kong, Singapore and the Philippines last week, but I was wrong. My Chinese Mi Max 3 arrived from tradingshenzhen with an unlocked bootloader and xiaomi.eu flashed as I had requested, and with xiaomi.eu 8.8.9 it works great. But a friend recently came home with a Max 3 purchased in the Philippines which is running v9.6.7.0.OEDMIFD (Global). When he goes to the Mi verification web site and enters his IMEI it says "you have a valid International Version". When I go to the site and enter my IMEI it says "you do not have a valid International Version and may encounter difficulties - please purchase from official distribution channels in the future".

thanks for the reply, so it comes down to luck, hit or miss with 9.6.6.0 and i'm better off waiting for xiaomi to put a fixed version in the official rom website ? (As of now no official firmware to download there for this device !)

Ok, I am getting irritated by you already...
Don't give your opinion on something you don't completely understand. As I said your installation procedure is so lame I don't even know how to say it without offending you. Believe me that is not my intention...
First you don't have global version and the OP question is specifically for that one.
Second you don't have fastboot global rom to begin with. There are so much more to the rom than what is it in the recovery zip. Otherwise Xiaomi won't be releasing both.
Third how do you know if Xiaomi didn't place some restrictions preventing Chinese devices running Global rom properly hence your problems...
So until you flash fastboot Global rom or better yet for this OP get global version try to not spread false information.
Peace...
No official yet?

Hi there,
I would like to flash realme Stock Rom On my realme c21 phone. On the web "oppostockrom.com" there Are many different versions/files
Example :
Realme_c21_rmx3201_PU_11_A.23_210210_rft.zip
Or
Realme_c21_rmx3201_PU_11_A.29_210419_rft.zip
...
Oppo Stock ROM
Find Oppo and Realme Stock ROM (Firmware) for various Oppo/Realme Devices. All the Oppo/Realme Firmwares listed are available for free.
oppostockrom.com
I dont know how do they differ - I dont known what do thé numbers And letters mean. So i dont know which one to choose.
Can anybody Tell me what Is thé difference; or better: give me advice how to get known which version do i Need for my phone
Thanks
Yes, it's confusing. I can only tell you the number after the A is a build number. https://realmefirmware.com/realme-c21-firmware/ has some versions broken down by region.
Any it the android 10 stock ROMs will work an you change your region firmware as as stated before. Android 10;firmwares start with a.xx.xx
The android 11 firmwares are more specific to region from android 10, and hence you will need to download the correct update from website or pick a region and wait for ota update.
Android 11 firmwares are c.xx builds
Here I am again
Finally I have found compatibile stock ROM file. BUT there is still little difference in the file name: the letters in the end of the codename are different:
Built number of my phone:
RMX3201VF_11_C.11
The chosen stock ROM name is:
RMX3201GDPR_11_C.11
What does there letters mean? Is this diference problem? In the web www.realmefirmware.comhttps://realmefirmware.com/realme-c21-firmware/ there is no file with "VF" in the name.
Thanks

I think you'll find the version with GDPR is the name is the European version. GDPR most likely stands for the EU General Data Protection Regulation
It's possible the version with VF in the name is a version specific to Vodafone. Is yours a Vodafone branded phone? As realmefirmware.com is a 3rd party site it does not have firmware links for every region.

Hm. It's strange, my phone isn't branded and never have been. But I am in EU and my phone was bought here, so I will probably use the "GDPR" version.

It's up to you. The safest strategy would probably be to return the phone to Android 10 and let the phone update itself to Android 11 based on its own location setting. Assuming that's how that update works.
Ok. I will think about your method. As you said I Could use any A.xx (android 10) version

Global gdrp c_03, c_ 09,c_11 is android 11 realme ui1 global
Export, ex c_03,c_09c_011 is non global and generally has a region attached to it

There is 2 EU versions EUEX AND EU brande
Euex is your no branded EU varient otherwise there is the EU branded varients which are generally your Vodafone brands etc which are labelled generally like any other regions firmware.
Under android 10 region selector is the best screen to see this on. Otherwise there is a few files on /system (just have to find them againyself) that have the different firmware regions) can't cahnge it this way but just a good list.
List of regions
