Stock ROM battery drain - LeEco Le1 Pro Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
I have been experiencing bad battery life on the latest 19S ROM, i also experienced same on 18S stock.
When i go to battery and view the stats. i always get ANDROID OS which is taking most of the battery life. This is annoying because it seems that it is reducing my usage time.
I read online that it is an app which is causing the OS to remain awake. I have to manually reset the phone maybe 2 to 3 times daily to prevent heavy battery drain.
Can anyone help me to solve this issue?

I deleted the TypeApp email app and had a big difference in battery, it gave me 5x as many wakelocks as anything else

A also have battery drain. Android OS is on top.. Any fix?

Where did you get the 19s rom from? the Letv website here http://bbs.le.com//zt/eui/le_pro1.html only shows 18s as latest?

[Q] Blazer ROM- Battery Issues

So I rooted my phone and flashed the Blazer ROM. Everything flashed well and I am loving the look of this ROM. My only issue is that now my battery is draining very fast. It seems to be going down faster than before the flash. I tried calibrating the battery with one of the marketplace apps, but it hasn't done much. One of the main reasons for flashing was to improve the battery life. I am looking for any suggestions on what I can do? Is there any point in trying to re-flash the rom? Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
Give it a few charging cycles for everything to settle in....also download better battery stats and check for possible wakelocks

I had the same problem with this version of Blazer Rom. After my 4th charging cycle I had to get off it. I couldn't get a whole day use. For some reason battery drained hella fast. I'm back on stock rooted now. No rom has given me better battery life than when I'm on the stock one so far. I usually give the rom about 4/5 days to see any improvements. If too many bugs or battery drain I'll get off it sooner than that.
OK thanks! I guess I will try and give it another couple of days and see if it improves. If not I'll consider switching ROMs. Sorry but what is a wakelock? I'm still pretty new with all of this.
had same issue i just flashed rom three times and since then ive been getting a good 16 to 20 hours on one charge.
had the same issue, i was at work and charged my phone, one our latter my battery was down 20 percent went back to stock root.
Im also curious, what's wakelock?

wakelock is a term meaning an app I going rogue keeping your kernel awake. if you use bettery battery stats and cpu spy you can see what keeps waking your phone up when its supposed to be in a deep sleep. btw when charging it doesn't go into deep sleep. so it may give you a weird result if you check after a charge. also do not spend any money on battery calibration apps. every app I have come across tries to calibrate by deleting battery stats. which has been proven to do nothing. just a heads up dude.

A kernel mechanism for Android power management. When a thread holds a wakelock, the kernel will refrain from entering a low-power state.
Basically, an app or process is not letting your phone sleep. Free app betterbatterystats can help you identify any rogue apps

Thanks for that suggestion! I shall install betterbatterystats and cpu spy and see what happens to my phone as i let it set over night. I've seen it drop by almost 20% in battery life overnight for some reason (~8hours)...which I find to be unacceptable.

[Q] 4.1.2 battery drain

Hi!
So I have updated my unrooted Note 2 to version 4.1.2 and below describes what happened:
1. Battery drain very fast, can't even last 24 hours. The battery details show "Android System" chugging all my battery juices.
2. On 2nd day, I tried "Factory reset" on Settings menu but still my battery drains very fast by "Android System".
3. On 4th day, I installed Kies on my PC and did the "Firmware Upgrade and Initialization". Noticed an improvement in battery life but after 4 hours, I noticed "Android OS" is now taking his turn to chug all my battery juices.
4. On 5th day, woke up and noticed battery drained >20% by "Android OS".
5. 6th day (today), I did another "Firmware Upgrade and Initialization" on Kies and now I noticed "Android System" took over and took over >29% battery usage in under 1 hour.
6. Now, I am running "Firmware Upgrade and Initilization" for the 3rd time and is hoping for the best.
Question:
Should I root my device and downgrade to 4.1.1? Before update to 4.1.2, it can last almost 2 days.
Thanks for your help!!
I had a similar problem and discovered that "gpsd" on my phone was causing the drain. This system also required other systems whiqh together used about 45% of the battery. The "gpsd" is the system samsung uses to track your phone (if you have enabed it). It did not cause this drain on my phone prior to the update.
I hope this helps.
Thanks...

Hey thanks for your input. Would you be able to explain in more details on how to disable this "gpsd" thing you mentioned?
I would like to try it out myself
I disabled all samsung apps, and several others including google now and location services.
Still a massive battery drain.
Very annoying..

Much much faster
I hope Samsung fix this issue, and quick! I don't like my phone losing a minimum of 20% overnight.
I have no battery drain issues (yet) on the 4.1.2 could be just the vocal minority experiencing it or idk.

On average I also don't observe a significant overall battery drain. Am currently projecting about 7-8 hours of screen time which is about the same as with before. Also having the same very low overnight drain.
However a few oddities:
Android system is higher on the battery charts than in 4.1.1.
I was playing nfs_mw before and after the update, and there is a significant increase in battery drain in 4.1.2. A full battery used to give over 4 hours of gametime, now gives just over 1 hour.
I've also not seem anyone else mentioning this and I'm not sure if this is related to battery but:
4.1.2 is absolutely perfect butter smooth
Every animation and transition had been completely fluid and going from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 was like upgrading from 50% to 100% project butter.

That's brutal. Were you able to confirm this over several days of gameplay ? Can you post screenshots of your battery stats screen?

Mine after upgrade to 4.1.2 took 7,5 hours during night to drain battery to 89%...
On 4.1.1 it was about 3 - 4%. I'm downgrading...

why is that?
I have downgraded but version 4.1.1 doesn't give me the option to switch to 2G only data mode!! Only 2G/3G/4G or 3G only!
This is essential as where I live my 3G keeps cutting out, and I get frequent loss of service. Is there any way to get this option back???
Roughly about 1% per 7-8hours depending on the current battery level, are you losing more ?
I downgraded to 4.1.1 by downloading the appropriate firmware from sammobile.com and flashing as pda with odin. I then flashed the perseus kernel which has the sudden death bug fix built in. Perseus is not prerooted but it doesn't have to be, at least it protects the phone from sudden death as I had the faulty chip in mine. I got 40 hours standby and 4 hours screen on out of it now, all accounts syncing with Google now and Samsung tracking service. happy to have switched back to 4.1.1, all I miss is the snappier s note from 4.1.2.

Hello guys I have this problem also In my note 2 after updating to 4.1.2 my battery drain like 10% for 20 min in idle
Factory reset dosen't solve the problem
I just wipe data and cache from recovery mode beleive me now its better than before I am using it for 1 day 14 hours I still have 49% on heavy usage with H+ connection

Hope it get fixed soon...
Last night I disabled "Google Location Services". It is under Settings > Accounts > Google > Location Settings
This is what I noticed.
Before I sleep, after I finished charging at 16min my Android Services spiked up almost 50%...
When I woke up, this is what I saw... 9% total drain and Android Services went up to 54%...
Not too bad comparing to a few days ago when I first updated.
So is there anything I can do without needing to root my phone?
Thanks!

I have the same problem like You
Can confirm this issue. Used to get 5-6 hours screen on time on 4.1.1 on a normal day (moderate to heavy usage).
Now I can't even reach 3 hours on 4.1.2. I already did a hard reset. No change.
Can installing a custom ROM solve this?

4.1.2 and battery

Hey guys
I recently upgraded to 4.1.2 and it's been causing a lot of battery drain.
Googleplay magazine app was taking about 28%,so I disabled it and now "Android system" is doing the same thing. I also have disabled GPS/location services and google now but it hasn't changed.
Any tips?
You CAN NOT do anything to reduce Android System usage. So if no app is causing major wakelocks and it's Android System only then you can't do anything but to bear it.

Yes, we only can wait for upgrade from Samsung... with 4.1.1 I had excellent battery, overnight with airplane mode, I hade like 1% drain, max 2%. Now I have like 10-20% !!!!! But I was afraid of Sudden Death Syndrome so I upgraded....

maybe can solved about ur battery issue
Nah, this rarel helps, I tried while I had Desire HD, and nothing helped. It is similar now with Note 2. It is simply OS that is causing it, not an app. The only thing that changed is android, all other apps are the same.....

Thanks but I already know what's causing the battery drain I just don't know how to fix it.
Update: I disabled google sync and things got a little better, but still worse than 4.1.1
If you have a powerful device, expect battery to drain fast unless you do battery saving tips. But for me I bought this beast to maximize its potential so its ok for me if battery drains... thats why it has a removable battery compared to the norms now which is non replaceable ones...
Sent from my GT-N7100 stock unrooted for now using xda app-developers app
I know but with 4.1.1 I experienced much better battery life w/same usage.
Anyway,I reset back to factory settings and still, the "android system" is eating a lot of battery so I guess I have to revert back to 4.1.1 :/

[Q] Google+ Draining Battery

I've just noticed this on my stock Note 3 in the last couple of days.
13 hours on battery
CPU Total 1hr 38m
Stay awake 11hr 11m !
Going to restart the phone and see if it stops.
Yes. I did a little work on my off days for the AIC kernel for cyanogenmod based ROM. I thought I induced a kernel wakelock of some sort but it's entirely google+. Awful battery drain. Didn't dig any deeper.

[Q] Lollipop Reboots

Just curious, if anyone has seen any random reboots since upgrading to 5.0 or 5.0.1?
I've played around with lollipop for week or so now, and I haven't experienced one single reboot... Unless, I've initiated it myself that is.. How about you?
Not that but bad battery life is affecting my tablet dramatically.
No reboots to speak of for me, and battery life has been about the same if not slightly better.
I got one on 5.0 (kernel panic). Haven't had any yet on 5.0.1.

Weird. My battery's been the best it's ever been.
All location, syncing, wifi etc left on I'll get 7 hours screen time over two days no problem, with no gaming 8 hours. Idle drain is like nothing compared to all previous versions.
Find out what app is draining it or what wakelock is keeping it up. If you haven't already, flash the factory image without keeping data.
5.0.1 is ****ing NICE.
