I flashed SuperSU 2.78-SR5 after flashing Beta 8 as it says on Installation thread but end up with bootloop every time. anyone have any solutions?

Nah. SR5 works fine. SR1 made my sim cards undetectable.
Me too flashed and no problems at all. and make my signal come back
Haven't had any problems, been using it for a few hours.
@Essyy786 I had the same issue, my fix....... clean install beta 8 then flash SU 2.78-SR5 reboot profit _ :good:

Which recovery are you using?
I'm having the same issue... SR5 just causes the two white dots to spin around the red dot for over 30 minutes (until I get fed up and kill it.) I need to get root so I can do a back up with TB, but I can't get SuperSU to install...

You will have to wipe and clean install for SU5 to work - at least that's what worked for me...just make it backup of your apps first, to make easier to restore after you are up and running... wipe dalvik/art cache, cache, data and system Install ROM, then SR5 and reboot _ the first boot does take approx. 4 - 8 minutes...so be patient...good luck
I use this recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=21835
I made a clean flash. Flash SuperSU SR4. No SIM. Then flash SR5, sim ok.

I tried installing Carbon on my GS3, but the gapps wouldn't work properly, and upon booting would say Setup Wizard stopped and the gapps processes. So now I can't get the Google apps on my phone. At this point I decided just to recover my backup that I did through CWM, but when I try to restore it it says MD5 mismatch...what do I do? I need help.

Just get on Carbon like this:
Flash mrRobinson's rooted stock
Download Goo Manager from the Play Store to install TWRP
Flash Carbon and the gapps from the Carbon thread
Just finished getting it, but it won't get past the final Samsung loading screen, where it glows purple. It's stuck there, in a boot loop...

There are two recoveries. CWM and TWRP
I suggest TWRP not because I like it better but because it's easier to load. Download Goo Manager, open it, hit Menu => Install Openrecoveryscript
So I should use Goomanager again, even though it messed up my phone last time? I think it was the gapps download that messed it up last time. Maybe the latest version isn't compatible with my device?

Is there any way to remove those ugly grey icon backgrounds?
Like in the first post, in the second screenshot, it can be seen that Titanium backup has a grey background
Similarly, pre-included apps like syncit has no background.
This difference of icons makes the phone look quite ugly.

you need to install rom first, then update 1631.2, and tap "format dalvik&cache" when install ends.
after that reboot - and system works fine. only bluetooth can crush at the first boot.

I don't think you have read the OP carefully. It clearly says that the Rom is ported FROM the K3 note. Search the relevant thread in xda for your device. It'll be there. Good day.

Good work!!
You guys ready for custom ROMs?
This is my WAS-LX3 Running my Pure AOSP for HI6250 Devices! Installation is a bit tricky but I'll fix that up soon!
Great work!
Just tested it on my P10 lite(was-lx1c432), and it works.
Thanks for your work. I haven't tried it yet. I'm waiting for your custom Rom.
With Devcheck system info (search in playstore) I saw that my device is compatible.
Hi, I flashed it on my WAS-LX1C432 but it freezes at the screen where it asks about allowing modifications to the system partition. The build from the other thread works though, apart from decryption.

Stock decryption not working here either
I have not found any easy way to get back to stock...
When i tried to flash the zip with the other TWRP build, i got error 7 : This build is for Washington, not for Warsaw.
So, i flashed the img with fastboot and it works.
Also after allowing modifications at first boot of TWRP, i don't get that msg anymore.
With the other build i had to allow it everytime i booted TWRP.
I have WAS-LX1AC432

The ROM is pretty good. I'm just concerned about ppl being able to go back to stock. Because the ROM is not a daily driver yet..,
Rear cam video capture not working.
Little laggies happen during ui animation.
Edit: If you are confident you can get back to stock if you need to pm me.
Any Other Testers?
If there is anyone else who is confident they can get back to stock via the 'dload' method and would like to test AOSP for the P10 Lite, pm me.
Worked for me. I needed to do a full wipe in TWRP first. ( i wiped data too, dunno if it was needed)
Flashed open gapps 7.1 pico.
There is no browser or file manager included in the rom.
So after setting up playstore, download a file manager if you need to access your ext sdcard.
Flashed supersu in twrp and have root too.
---------- Post added at 06:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:15 PM ----------
Restored my apps and data with titanium Backup.
Working fine.
Maybe create a new topic for this ROM?
I made a TWRP backup. Selected everything except /cache.
With 3 button dload method i was able to go back to stock rom.
Unlocked bootloader again, flashed TWRP and then tried to restore the backup.
Got a 255 error. So i did a full wipe and formatted /data.
After this succesfully restored the backup and phone booted normally with everything intact.
So, internal storage is not encrypted in TWRP.
Rom is pretty smooth. Didn't encouter any issues. Except the known bugs.
Finger print is working, GPS too.
Didn't test NFC or dual sim.
Will use this rom and see how it goes.
edit :
Made a "tap and pay" payment in the supermarket. So NFC is working.

Hi all XDA community.
So I have run into a snag and I'm not getting any joy with what I have tried so far.
Procedure followed to this point:
1 wipe phone stock Samsung TW 5.0.1
2 CF Auto root install using Odin 3.12.x
3 reboot device
4 install TWRP 3.1.1.0 with Odin
5 reboot to recovery. Reboot device, all good.
6 reboot to recovery mount MTP, copy ROM to SD card.
7 install RR-N 5.8.5 20171215 Final.zip and NvmX RR-N v10.6. ROM and kernel.
8 wipe phone and reboot.
This is now where the problem comes in, the phone is stuck in a boot loop, sometimes getting further than other times, but never completing first start.
What I've tried a few times is to recopy the ROM to the SD card, re-install. Nope still the same. I tried another ROM. Same. Haven't tried another kernel though.
My next thought is to flash back to stock and try again, just that it's a big download and takes quite long.
Any other thoughts on where I've gone wrong and how I can fix it from you guys would be most appreciated.
TIA
345/5000
very weird you should start with the kernel that brings the rom to flash the nevermorex then I use RR N and is totally stable with gt i9500 the only thing is that when I connect to the pc I do not recognize the device at all if someone in this community helps me to solve that would be very helpful
have the test with the kernel that brings the rom to see

Wait for a few days or a week. You can't judge it by only a day usage. The phone needs to optimize with the newly installed system.
After some more testing I think the charging socket is not very happy, I think it isnt helping the battery issue.
I will look into it when I have time this weekend. It may be time for a new connector though.

Like I said in the post above, you have to factory reset if leaving beta going back to stable. Factory Reset wipes the device.

Are you using the third party oxygen updater app? Did you use automatic or manual install method? Automatic option says it will reboot and manual says "afterward the phone will restart". I don't want it to automatically reboot.
