Hello guys i have few questions about this rom from WoH, at the moment i am using 4.2.2 rom based on CM 10.1 from VJ, but his version will not have update soon, so i decide to check install new rom from my topic. I have few question if You can answer it will be nice:
*1* Does work properly the sound of messages? For VJ roms i usually use low sound fixer, but without luck. So rom have any issuess about sound? Works fine? Sound is loud and i can hear the sms sound? (Everybody who have VJ rom know about this problem)
*2* Does work the headset or earphones without any problem? (Now when i plug in my headset i always have soft reboot)
*3*Can You compare to VJ rom based on CM 10.1? (Speed, performance, battery drain, soft reboots etc.)
*4*It is possible to disable HOLO - i mean thing like quick menu
*5*Could You write Pros and cons of the WoH rom? Any problems issuess and possible fix or some tips?
Thank You guys!

Easiest way would be to nandroid backup your current rom, then install this ROM and try it out for yourself.
1 - don't know
2 - don't know
3 - this will be very different for different people and setups, again you are the best judge based on your setup and usage, not someone else's
4 - yes, I use PA on my nexus 7. It's disabled by default I believe.
5 - pros and cons will be quite subjective, read the thread to see what's working and other people's responses. Again you'll be the best judge if you install it.

Well, thanks, but You don't help me so much. I found on the forum few things, at first i want to compare to HTC DESIRE in DESIRE thread not to Nexus 7 or any other device. For example few things work perfect on nexus 4, not on Desire like Camera. About pros and cons it will be for example, good performance, but fast battery drain. Many other things. So You don't know so much. I ask people which got experience with HTC Desire and have this rom on this phone.
So BUMP please

The ROM is still a port, and I've used it for a different device true. However Halo is part of the ROM, and it can be disabled. Other things can be found out by reading the thread, or better yet....just installing it and trying it.

I may not have experience in that exact ROM, but trust me I know enough to help you as I have helped many other people here
"Good performance, but fast battery drain" is subjective....how exactly do you define "good" or "fast" in this case? Some people define good as "stable...but has a few random reboots", but is this ok for you? Others don't mind lag, but might find it good as it's latest android with a few more features.
Fast battery drain varies massively depending on how you use the device, no two people use them the same way. You have not told us how you even use your device, and what you define to be "good" or "fast battery drain"
From bumping it, you could get some replies from a limited number of users. Some saying it's AMAZING / LAGGY / OK, some saying it has amazing battery / poor battery / suitable for medium / light / heavy usage...but you have no idea how they use their phone, how many ROMs they've tried for comparison, or the age of their battery etc. And again their perception of good or fast battery drain is different from yours. You may think getting 'reviews' from others is useful, but I'm merely warning you they can be very misleading for various reasons
In all this time you have waited for replies...you could have easily made a nandroid backup and just tried the ROM yourself. This is always the best way of testing for your usage and setup like I said, not from other people with completely different usage...then you make up your own mind and see if it's suitable for you
If you don't like it, you have a nandroid backup to go back to, so I don't see why you're waiting...
Well, You suggest to better install before ask about sth. At the moment imo i am using a good rom. I create topic to not spam thread in developers section. I have time to change rom, but i want to do it in future. Some people, used other roms and maybe have experience and they can share opinions.
So at the moment few questions:
- is here in WoH roms a soft reboots? How often?
- as i know all JB roms got problems with camera, what about recording? In VJ rom my video playback, which i record is lagged and broken, what with WoH rom?
- there is some issuess with headset or earphones, when You plug into the phone?
- is here a low sound notification problem? Any fix?
I am asking, because i don't want to spend time to testing, i can install or sth, but not have too much time for reinstalling and finding the best one. Few questions give me an answer what i am looking for
For me it is better to ask, than shouting about problem.

Hi. I have some questions regarding this device, for which I've bought for my son as an Xmas gift.
Firstly I've noticed a few things and confirmed things I've researched about this device:
- It is based on Android, which was obvious as soon as I side loaded es file explorer and checked out the SD contents.
- It is running at around 30-50% of its full potential, due to the super persistent Amazon apps that run in the background, and low amount of customisation options.
- The advertisements on the lock screen... WTF.
- Unable to use mx player pro as a default video player for lovefilm, which sucks.
- The carousel is nice looking but it auto adds things which is highly annoying.
- The parental controls are good.
So that's just a small list and I'm sure I haven't quite listed everything yet but I want to move onto some questions about rooting the device:
1. Does rooting and installing cyanogenmod improve the memory use and performance? May be an obvious answer but it's always good to know people's opinions.
2. Can any of the Amazon apps be used on cyanogenmod, so that the device still feels like a Kindle. E.g. the launcher and carousel, and the parental controls? I like the big HD icons. This will be used regularly by my son so I need strong security controls.
3. Being an unofficial port, does cm come with any usual and/or unusual bugs? Such as rotation bugs, fcs and reboots.
4. Does cm use the full quality of the sound and display? The resolution and sound quality is great as it is, I'd hate to sacrifice those for better memory.
5. Anything else that I might expect or information that would be helpful please.
FYI I've unlocked, rooted and flashed many devices, so I know roughly the benefits and disadvantages.

Your questions about cm are moot at the moment as there's no unlocked bootloader so can't install custom ROMs at this time.
In regards to the Amazon apps, try using greenify to hibernate them if you're rooted. I seem to recall it can hibernate system apps but it's not recommended, so I don't know what functionality will be lost or even if it'll be stable.

answered here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2553490
So I recently got a g2, my old phone was rooted so I have some idea what i'm doing. I have been out the modding scene so i don't know much about the new phones.
First of all I want to root my phone but I mostly want to keep it stock I just want to remove bloat ware and not sure if I could install an equalizer on 4.2 once rooted to fix the quality on certain eq bands. If equalizers dont work on 4.2 what could I use as I heard 4.4 wastes a lot of battery.
Also what rom and kernals if there are any would you recommend for battery saving and customization options.

Hello guys, here a htc m7, m8, m9 and few nexus devices user
Can I ask something to anyone who was here before me? just to be updated about the situation:
-is there vulkan support here?
-no daydream eh?
-what exactly do we lose with AOSP roms? sound should be fine since the bass/high system is a phisical thing...I just expect camera performance drop
-I was something about AOSP CAF....is there really a pure aosp compiled port?? with no lineage stuff? would be great
-Is EAS really magic as they say?
-Is there a full stock rom zip? with no wipe?
-I feel the display colors a little unbalanced...how are you dealing with that?
-Camera is great, no dubt, but I expected more....
I was on nexus 5x and google camera's hdr+ does an amazing job on post process, making shots more eye-candy, despite of quality
are you using third party apps? any advice? low light shots are really noisy
Thank you very much for your attention

If it isn't there, it will be soon. Taiwanese 10's have it I think, but it'll get pushed to all of them in coming OTA's.
I don't believe so, needs AMOLED per Google's official specs
I think the only feature loss with AOSP is VoLTE and WiFi Calling.
Yes, its WIP but the only thing not working that I know of is video recording. Eliminater74 will fix it.
Eh, its neat but its not the be all, end all. It's more of an alternative to PnP.
Yes, check Sneakyghost's thread or download a RUU.
Custom kernel's and the AOSP ROMs have color sliders for fine tuning.
I use Google cam on Res Remix and the stock camera for Sense. Works for my uses.

Many thanks for reply! I didn't know about amoled for [email protected]
I think that in aosp we should lose boomsound and proprietary camera stuff, that help with image processing....
Tried nebula rom yesterday, I expected a cleaner rom....and something more on performance haha but htc devices never played well with aosp IMO
I can tune the display, but without a good tool....you know, is hard to achieve a good calibration
I'm going to try google camera, but nexus have dedicated post processing systems that, really, make the difference....just look at pixel shots....though pixel have similar camera, they look far better
hi, goodday to everyone!
i'm on a poco f3 and new to this phone's development scene.
i previously owned an Axon 7 and was on custom roms for 1.5 years.
since i'm relatively new to this phone i'm asking:
Is it worth unlocking and doing custom roms on this phone?
i'm completely fine on the stock rom but lately have been thinking about going custom rom.
the main reasons are:
better performance(cause i game on this phone)
maybe better battery-life?
root access(i really miss the youtube vanced)
and as someone who undervolted their gaming laptop, undervolting and updating the Gpu drivers for better performance.
my primary question is: how many trade-offs i'm doing for achieving these goals? are they even possible all at the same time?(cause i'm pretty sure you need specific kernels for undervolting)
thank you for your answers in advance, and hope you have a great day!
Hi,If you want a nice youtube...i suggest youtube revanced. You can install without root and it's latest youtube version.Anyways, you can take a look HERE
Hi. Since only needed Adbock and Youtube Vanced, I just unlocked the bootloader and rooted the stock rom. Also debloated be removing most unused apps. This works fine for me and I don't have any problems or features not working. Banking apps, Netflix, etc. work fine with the appropriate patches. Battery life is still very good, after more than a year with the phone.
Only drawback is that you have to re-apply root after each system update. But it is always the same procedure and it doesn't take too long.

thanks for the responce! but here's the thing, although those things are nice, to me the main benefits of custom roms are the updated gpu drivers, and the undervold to potentially improve performance and battery-life.
Stock is good enough already for this phone. I went into custom roms for fun (ArrowOS, CRDroid, EliteROM, PixelOS) but each have benefits and drawbacks that closely make it a breakeven exercise.
My main benefits from customizing are
- better battery life (less bloat + more control via Greenify on root, etc.)
- Google Photos unlimited
Things I miss from MIUI are better sound quality, camera and built-in dual-apps.

All of these - no
Can do all on stock + stock is best in terms of performance
