[TIP]How to Disable OTA updates completely
I was stuck on NPSS26.118-19-1-6 update with Feb 1, 2018 security patch. Checking for updates by the phone yields "no update found" and I loaded the OTA that updated it to Oreo but now I don't have any update past April 1. Now when I use the Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant on my PC it says UNSUPPORTED DEVICE where it used to say 'No Update Found'. What is the current released version for the RETLA version of this device over the air?
I manually installed android pie to german version G960FXXU2CRLI and now I lost my OTA updates. It still sits on january 1st
I am from Croatia and now I am looking at croatian pie version G960FXXU2CSB9. Should I install that firmware via Odin and do I need to factory reset my phone even if both are same android versions?
Will I receive OTA updates in the future if I update to G960FXXU2CSB9 ?
I have the same problem. I'm stuck on December 2018 security patch level after upgrading to Pie via Odin.
We see this "OTA" on the end of each update file , OTA means ON THE AIR , which means all devices should have OTA update(I mean automatically update)
so why there is not any ota update(except hal and maleysk of course)
has any one ever saw an OTA update on their devices?
Hi,
My force z2 fails to install the official pie update (PPX29.159-19).
My software channel is "reteu".
My model is XT1789-06
My current build is PXS27.109-34-21
My bootloader is unlocked (that was not a problem for the previous couple security OTA updates)
Available storage ca. 16GB
After downloading of almost 1,3GB of data it tries to finish "step 3" of the update process after which I get the sparse page which says
"update failed - no changes have been made".
Is there a way to read some logfiles?
Has anyone else have this problem?
What other data could I provide to help with the trouble shooting?
Thanks so much!
