Recently many members has posted that they have received these mercury protectors cut short of about 1-2mm and does not have the curved edges, I have personally seen these, and the package looks identical, it is confirmed that these are all authentic, the old version has the curved edges, new version are cut short.
What evers Mercury decisions was, they still have the sticker showing the curved foaming edges.
I would also suggest you contact the seller and ask them to confirm the actual protector are curved, and not based on the sticker.
I just purchased the lime green one for the fun of it, here is a simple review of it.
Before I start, the shop has put this protector on a few phone and has given me a warning about the curve of the protector, with this protector it will fit best with korean version of the S3 or a made in korea unit, as the glass are made in many countries the curve edge of the glass may vary due to specification, this isn't to say that you won't get a perfect fit on a international version or US version.
With the lime green protector that i have purchased, there are cut out for the sensor, camera, home button and the ear piece, the cut out are precise to about 0.2mm which is very good, the curves of the protector is also very good, and does goes right upto the edge of the metal bezel by 0.5mm which is considered one of the best edge to edge coverage.
The actual screen protector is a anti glare and matt finished, and is varly clear.
Does the bullkin have any rainbowing? Im hoping they popup on eBay as Im not a fan of matte protectors.

Yes they do, you can see the rainbow effect when the screen is turned off, or on a black screen.

Guess I should have read the review a little better, just noticed that you had already mentioned. Is it pretty bad or only only noticeable at extreme angles?

I shall continue my hunt for one then. I can deal with that. Not a fan of this Pebble Purple Samsung went with.
That's fantastic. I guess I'll check and see if I can get the red Bulkin one.
Does the black have a metallic finish like the Mercury brand?
Sorry if it was mentioned, didn't read the whole review
Edit: it is a solid color, thanks
A great review/overview, thanks - its a real shame that it's so difficult to find both of these (fully curved and fitting) online anywhere...
One question, just curious - you mention that you can get 4 Bullkin protectors for the price of 1 Mercury - what was the price of both protectors? (mercury seem to be around the $10 USD mark on ebay...)

The price of my mercury was USD 11.5, I know on ebay the prices has dropped a little, but those on ebay, you're not sure if you will get the flat one or curved one, But for me, I buy direct from a local store, so I see the item before I make the purchase, the extra cost is worth it, if i'm sure to get the proper curved screen protector.
These bullkin only cost approximate USD 2.5 which are wholesale price.
first post updated with more information.
Can't wait to see what the reviews are going to be like. They look pretty nice!

First thing. I envy you. I had my cousin in korea send me a mercury from there and still same issue with the gap. Second, have you seen these screen protectors in china? I've asked my cousin about them but she hasnt seen them in stores.

I would love to get these if you've seen them with full coverage.

rlatjs17 I ordered one of those glasszone protectors, I'll post about it when i get it in my own thread.
those are nice! i just ordered my pb sgs3 and will probably buy one of theses. OP, sorry if i missed it in the FP but which one did you like more? thanks for your review
So the real Mercury ones have almost full coverage with curved screen if I have understand it well?
I'm looking for one with full coverage because like with the SGP I would have an ugly gap between my bumper and the glass protector then.
Looks promising, but I keep buying screenprotectors these days in the search for a good one

Those Bullkin protectors looks promising. They are not that expensive and the quality looks good.:good:
Just bought a couple. 1 penny + Shipping. I actually have one on my S3 right now, but last time they had a sale people reported that they seemed to be selling a batch of defective protectors. Packaging is nice, but the screen protector itself leaves a lot to be desired.
Every indentation is left behind on the screen, so after a couple weeks of use, it looks like war zone when looking at the screen while it's off. I dug my initials in the protector (with my fingernail) about 3 weeks ago and its still there.

If the protector is stuck to the bag when you get it, send it back. Well, I guess that doesn't make sense in this case. I ordered a couple shortly after launch date from Amazon for a penny and they arrived in that condition. The places where it was stuck to the bag left a "tattoo" on the protector. Couldn't really see it with the phone on and after all, it's was only a penny.
EDIT: I wasn't expecting a penny protector. I was hoping to score a $10 protector for a penny. ....+ sunk shipping costs.
They seemed to have bumped the sale price from 1 penny to $2.95.

I paid around $10 or $11 for the skinomi screen protector I have on my phone right now.
This thread was to let people know about the penny sale. For $10, it's quality wasn't as great. For 1¢, then...
Anyone know what they feel like? Sorry, but I had Ghost Armor on my Inspire and I hated how it turned the screen rubbery.

Yeah, still tacky-feeling. Very rubbery. The #1 thing I didn't like mine when I got it for $0.99 on sale a few months back. Replaced it with a smooth-as-glass SGP Ultra Crystal.
I got this for $0.01 and with shipping costs, the total was ~$3. I ordered 2 because it was a good deal and I know dust, dirt, and peeling will mess it up in a year or two. The whole kit is nice which includes a spraying solution, micro-cloth, rubber scraper, and the protector.
I usually don't have the patience and eye for applying screen protectors and I definitely didn't enjoy putting this one on mainly because the cutouts don't align correctly! So, I made lemonade, aligned the speaker/camera cutouts, and cut the home button hole into a slit so that it would fit better. I wish I had cut the hole before applying it because it was a pain to cut.
The protector has that rubber tacky feel and it looks bad with the screen off, but it does the job of edge-to-edge protecting the screen for the price of $3. I've tried ghost armor before but couldn't get over the orange peel effect and the $25 price. My sister has ghost armor on her s3 and there was no orange peel, so it's probably a hit or miss with them. I had the ghost armor replaced 3 times and they were all misses.
I have been getting a lot of questions as to how the official protector looks and feels. I have uploaded an imgur album full of close up shots. The official protector is hard to see even if you know it is on there. It feels very close to the original glass. I wasted my money on a handful of cheap (and not so cheap) protectors. I don't want others to do the same!

Ordered it last night. I have one of the rubbery ones from Amazon on now. It looks fine but feels terrible. How long did it take to get the tracking info?

Is your current one a wet install protector? I found that's the case most of the time. This one is dry install. I messed up my initial install because I was on a conference call at work and forgot which side was the adhesive side lol. But this protector is smooth. Not tempered glass smooth, but dang close.

It's not officially a wet install, but after having so many bubble issues I figured I try washing it in water. It ended up being a lot easier, but yeah the feel isn't great.
Edit: Just got the shipped email =]

I got this one, I do not work at BestBuy. It is reflective and not soft to touch. Feels and looks just like the glass which is great.
I noticed mine is slightly smaller (maybe 1mm diameter) than the actual screen size. Hardly noticeable.
Most BestBuy have at least one or two of them. Weird because I could not find them online but they were on the shelves.
I'm using the ArmorSuit protector ($8 from Amazon). I like it a lot. Pretty much feels like bare glass and it's not thick enough to be noticed unless you angle the watch and really look for it.
I'm using a Zagg protector. Feels like a standard zagg and looks pretty good. I had them undersize it by about 1mm.

All of the other protectors I bought I could depress my finger nail into them. That is not what i was looking for. The official ones are the only ones so far that have a hard glass like feel. But to each their own.
The spigen one's are available for pre-order on Amazon. They're shipping in 10 days. A bit pricey though. 22 dollars for one. I'm supposed to be receiving the official ones today so hopefully those can hold me off until more affordable glass ones come out.

I'm just worried the tempered ones will sit up too high on the display. Maybe if it's tapered up fro the sides it wouldn't be so bad. I will have to see a close up photo before investing in one.
Can anyone please recommend me a non full coverage glass screen protector for my Pixel 2 non XL that has the same anti smudges treatment (oleophobic coating) which the screen itself has? I always buy the cheapest I can find on eBay but it's a fingerprint magnet...
I already have confirmation that the Spigen has it but because it is shipped from USA shipping costs for my country Portugal are more than the protector itself... I was looking for something on the cheap size, like the Spigen (9 bucks a pair).
Thanks in advance... Cheers
The Griffin Survivor Glass Screen Protector was just released. Looks pretty good and has the coating, cost $35. Link:

The Whitestone is great(have one on my P2XL prob the best) but runs about $50, SGfreshidea Invisshield only makes theirs for P2XL.
Zagg Invisibleshield Glass + is also another option (coated) for $39. Link:

Thanks a lot for you answer
But 35 and 50 bucks is way more than what I am willing to spend (I should have put that info in my post, sorry). The Spigen, for instance, costs 9 bucks for a pair ... Do you have a cheaper suggestion? Also, aren't some of those suggestions full coverage protectors? I hate those since I had a terrible experience (the touch is awful, rainbow effect, dot matrix, don do well with cases, etc)
Cheers

No most of those cover only the flat viewable screen, so not full coverage. The full coverage protectors will almost always pull away from the edges(also not case friendly) and are not all clear(colored borders). Most also do not have full adhesive and lots of other problems like halo, rainbow, dot matrix etc... The only protectors that will last and look right on the pixel 2 phones(especially using a case) are a bit more money but worth it if you want to do it once and be done...

Any glass protector over $10 will be advertised with an oleophobic costing. There's an entire list in the screen protector thread that all meet your requirements. I personally use the Brotect Airglass and fingerprints wipe off with ease.

Not sure if you have an Amazon presence over there. If so you could check there, it usually works out to be reasonable for Spigen products
The Whitestone dome tempered glass protector is probably the best one out now the pixel 2 XL, a little expensive tho
Which is the best screen protector with full adhesion? Bought from Wish, no full adhesion there.
Preferably from Amazon or ebay in europe. I live in Sweden and don't wanna pay additional taxes.

New rules in Sweden since some time. All packages from outside EU get stuck in customs. 25% sales tax and a fee of about $8 per package regardless of cost.
