as the title says. I am on 5.0.5 and I have root everything is good, but according to AFTVnews guides you can not unlock a bootloader when on 5.0.0 or up? is that still the case? is there no way to downgrade this version?

ok lads ive bought the new amazon fire tv and was wanting to root it but ive been reading up and read the new firmware on the fire tv can not be rooted my version is , 51.1.50 515030720. could any one let me no if it is possible to even down grade fimware thanks

How would you plan to downgrade without root?
Now that the FTV2 has a new temp root method, would someone be kind enough to write a step by step to unbrick our devices that are stuck on the Amazon screen but still have adb? Apparently in the comments over at AFTVNews it has been achieved. Apparently they were able to somehow flash rbox's latest prerooted rom from a temp root state while bricked.

I already looked into the search in order to find a possible root method for the first gen TV Stick
It is on (5.2.7.2) and the most guides only have no root method for this available.
Has this ever changed?
