T-Mobile, VoLTE and ROMs after 3.5.x - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Has anyone successfully gotten VoLTE working with T-Mobile on AOSP-based ROMs after being on CB 3.5.3 or later? I've noticed several people, myself included, having this problem, and common thread seems to have been previously using a recent community beta from OnePlus. Reflashing firmware for either 3.2.6 or 3.5.5 does not seem to fix the issue. VoLTE resumes working after flashing back to CB.

VoLTE issues in Citrus CAF Rom

Hi all,
I've recently installed the CITRUS CAF- 3.1- Tangerine- Official rom in my indian Z2 Plus phone.
The rom is very stable so far and I've been experiencing only one major issue.
VoLTE is not working. I am using JIO network for this. My SIM is working fine(tested in other phones) and LTE mode is turned on in this device.
Help needed
Thanks.

Volte working fine in citrus (I am using jio) you might need to upgrade the baseband. Please post in the specific ROM thread.

Volte problem in both RR roms

Hi from past 2 days I've been flashing custom roms on my device and did a hardbrick (but solved it from customer care they replaced motherboard in less then 4hrs).
alright, so after this first I flashed official RR Rom, volte did not work. I thought the issue is in rom so I flashed unofficial RR rom then again it didn't work.
today i flashed stock OOS 4.0.2 to revert back to stock. volte worked just fine. is it something am i missing ?
I might not be able to use custom rom as it don't allow me to use VOLTE (Jio sim)
any help would be appreciated.
p.s.
i have tried everything in custom rom to enable volte it didn't worked
enabling volte provision in *#*#4636#*#*
enabling enhanced lte in sim setting.
any mod please move this thread in oneplus 3t question answer
thanks

Bro what steps did you follow in flashing RR to make work? like what all the things you wiped and did you flash the firmware also? Thanks!

Baseband problem?

I can't get the VoLTE to work anymore. So this is what happened:
I was using Citrus CAF 3.1 and volte was working fine. I tried to install Jaguar ROM and volte didnt worked so i clean flashed Citrus CAF volte didnt worked on it too. So i flashed the stock 7.0 Indian ZUI through QFIL... VoLTE still didn't worked. So i flashed stock Indian MM and then updated to Nougat through OTA and then VoLTE started working again but then i flashed AOSGP X and volte isnt working. Help.

Strange Volte Problem in Zuk Z2 Plus

Hi Guys,
I have a strange Volte problem with my Zuk Z2 plus.
I googled about this and also tried to find in XDA forums also but I could not find here too.
So,
My issue with Volte is, the Volte works fine with Airtel Sim. When I use Jio Sim also Volte works and able to receive calls. I can make calls to all networks but the call is getting ended immediately as if there is no Volte working when I'm making calls to any other jio number from the jio number in the phone which is in slot 1.
Now I'm in Pixel experience Rom with Android 10.
Tried AEX with Android 9 and 10 faced same issue.
Can u suggest any solution for this.
Thanks in advance.
Already faced issue and resolved.
Let me clear you issue is with Calling from Jio to Jio only.
Call are getting connected successfully from Jio to any other networks but when you call to Jio to Jio the call ends suddenly. Right?
I was also facing same issue when I was on AEX rom 6.3 version. I tried with many other rom but got same issue with other rom.
:fingers-crossed: :fingers-crossed:
So here is solutions I performed on May 2020.
1. I have restored my stock rom backup taken using twrp (taken almost 2 year back).
2. After restoring backup I am able to make call to Jio to Jio aswell. Everything is working fine.
So my main Volte issue resolved.
3. But again the stock rom Performance is worst. So I plan to use new custom rom again.
4. I have flashed AEX 7.3 bars on android 10 along with gapp full stock.
After flashing custom rom Z2 plus is performing well
Please let me know if you still face issue
Thank you.
Yes, My issues is with jio to jio only. Unfortunately I didn't keep any backup of my stock rom.

Android 12 or 13 ROM that is bug free for TMO HD1907 converted to Global HD1905?

As title states. I know there's issue with stock A12 ROM and also custom roms based on A12 for converted 1907s.
Anyone on a converted HD1907 with experience?
Please do not reply if the above doesn't apply to you so people are not confused and flash ROM that will bug their phone.
Thanks!
I just recently updated my converted OP7T HD1907 to from OOS 10 to OOS 11, rooted it with Magisk and then went straight to OOS 12, all through the official OTA updates. It brought my device to the latest F.20 version, but the phone then identified itself as HD1901, which I found strange.
In any case, I used it as a daily driver for a around 5 days on OOS 12 and everything worked perfectly fine (call reception, WiFi, BT, GPS, no heating). I cannot comment on battery life, as I use very little screen time on my main device.
Then I noticed that my 2nd SIM card slot was not accessible. It was just plain disabled, no mention of it anywhere in Settings/Network or About/IMEI etc. After A bit of searching, I realised that this was an issue that others had faced as well with HD1907 and OOS 12, and also possibly other ROMs based on it. I then gave up on trying other A12 based ROMs because of this.
So I downgraded back to OOS 10 with the MSM tool and then upgraded to the latest OOS 11 with a local file method. Me device is now identified as HD1907 again and my 2nd SIM card slot woks.
*TLDR my converted HD1907 worked perfectly fine on stock OOS 12 except the 2nd SIM card slot. Also I have not commented on what I liked or disliked in OOS 12, which is not the topic of this thread
Good

Thank you for detailed reply! So besides the 2nd SIM not working, no issues with network (LTE and WiFi), "max brightness" bug or screen tint issues?

No network issues, no green tint during my 5 days of stock OOS 12. I always disable auto-brightness so cannot comment on that.
I have seen all the posts regaring those issues, but I still tried to upgrade knowing I could always downgrade if I was not satisfied.
I really wanted to try Pixel Experience 13, but some people were having the 2nd SIM issue on that ROM with HD1907 since it seems to contain some part of OOS 12. If you don't care for 2nd SIM, that looks like a very stable ROM from the searching I did.
