My Pixel XL keeps freezing after it is left charging overnight. The LED stays green and you have to force it to restart. The LED stays on even after it is unplugged and doesn't turn off until the phone is rebooted. I'm using LED Blinker Pro, rooted on NDE63P.

Hey, I'm using a Pixel 5" and I'm experiencing the same thing in the morning. I have to reset the phone to get it to power on.
What are you charging it with?

I wasn't using the stock charger. I was using a microusb charger and a microusb to USB3 adapter. Was thinking that was my problem. Guess not tho. I am rooted with twrp too. Are you?

I reflashed the factory image, updated the phone and installed TWRP and root. So far no issues.

Since a few weeks, my phone takes a very long time to charge (like +10% every hour), when I watch tv or a movie on it while it's plugged in it even tells me that the phone is using more battery than it can charge (sorry for the french-> english).
Every morning I find it turned off, I plug it no led lites, after a while the led starts blinking and after 30minutes approximately it finally turns red and I can turn it on.
I'm using Revolution HD rom, but I assume it might be a hardware issue rather than software.
Does anyone ever encountered this issue ?
Do you use usb charging from pc? Disable any data connection, gps and close some apps. That should work!

Today I used usb charging inded (but usually I use regular charger), I disabled everything I could, plug it at 9am, it's now 5pm and it's finally 100%
The good thing is that it seems to normally drains battery.
I just used battery callibrator, I'll let it empty and then charge it anew to see if there is any change.

Using another charger might help to!
Hey guys, I'm having charging issues. I'm rooted and on jedi x14. I'm using the zerolemon 9300 mah battery. My phone started acting up about 3 days ago. I put it to charge all night and come morning it did not. When turned on, the charging symbol would not even turn on. I changed the battery with my stock samsung battery and it showed the charging symbol, but was charging at 0 mah on galaxy charging current so I switched back to the zero lemon. It said it was charging but it was still charging at 0 mah. I left my phone on and on the charger for 9 hours and it is still at the same percentage. I turned it off for about 10 minutes while plugged in and when turned back on, it went up 2%. While turned off, the phone will not even recognize that it's charging. For example, usually when my phone is working properly and turned off, it will show a big green battery showing that it's charging. Mine would not do this. When I try to turn it on when on the charger, it will show a spinning battery symbol as if it's trying to read the battery but goes away after two seconds. My phone will not turn on when connected and powered off. After unplugging it, it will boot normally. I am using the stock samsung power brick with a different cable that is 6 ft but would still charge at 2 A up until recently. The charger works on an s3 mini, s3, and s2 with no issue. Please help, any suggestions are appreciated. I bought the phone in November and have insurance with tmobile.

Any one? Also not charging when plugged into laptop via usb.

Now it's not charging at all. I tried using a micro usb to micro usb cable to pull some battery out of an s3 but that did not work.

Not gonna find a fix. It sounds like hardware. Try your orig cord. If it doesnt charge let tmobile deal with it via warranty.

Original cord not charging. Something weird just happened. My phone went into docking mode and I don't know how tk get out of it. It's not plugged in at all. I'm in a foreign country and can't replace the phone for at least another week. This sucks.

Try cleaning the contacts on your usb port. I was having a similar issue and it worked for me.

Hi, it's my first thread in XDA.
I have problem with my OGP. Device is off, but it turn on automatically when I plug in the charger or even to laptop.
I use 10e stock rom. I do nothing, only root last month and it's fine until last night.
I think they are supposed to do that... Is it fully turning on, or going to the battery charge screen?
I imagine a usb to laptop might turn it on. A wall charger usually boots to the charge screen.

Hello guys, and thanks for reading this.
Today, I got my HOX from a brothers' firend who's been using it for a year and a half. The device is in almost perfect shape, and he's been using it since last week or so. He reseted it to factory settings and left it in a drawer where it "died". Let's start with a timeline of all the **** I've been through with this mobile just today:
1. I got it with battery level fully depleted, wouldn't even turn on. Put it on it's original charger in the wall socket, left it there for like 10 minutes. Turned it on - it turned off after 3 minutes of "work" while still plugged in the wall socket. (Wasn't getting nearly enough juice?) We then tried charging it again, but all we got was blinking red LED or no LED indication at all.
2. Left it plugged in the wall socket for like 1.5h, after which the red LED stayed on - not blinking. Tried to turn it on, it worked, the battery was at like 50%. Removed it from charging (stupid probably, I know). It's a new phone so I went to proceed downloading my apps and logging into all of my social accounts. No problems. Even listened to music for about half an hour to test out the speaker.
3. When the battery got down to like 15% I again plugged it into a wall socket. Everything seemed fine, the red LED was on and the battery indicator on the screen was "moving" from right to left, meaning it's charging. But it was not - soon the battery was at 5%. I left the phone alone charging and after 30 minutes it was even more depleted, on 2%. Turned it off, left it to charge for 1h. Came back, turned it on - still at 2%.
4. Thought about doing another reset to manufacturers' settings while I still could. Did it (with the phone charging on USB) and when it turned back on the battery was at 10%? WTF?
5. I thought the best thing to do was to deplete the battery completely which I did and left it on AC charging for a couple of hours. When I came back, the red light was blinking. I turned it on, and the battery was at miserable 2% again, just enough to turn it on.
Any suggestions or possible solutions?
Thank you for reading my BS, appreciate it. :good:
I had this problem and it was the charger so use another one.

The thing I forgot to mention was that we tested the charger on my borthers' S3 mini and it worked ok.
Anyway, thanks, will try that tomorrow when I get my hands on another charger, but it seems unlikely, seeing how it's not charging properly even via USB and how it charged the S3 mini ok.
That happened to me too. Tested my htc charger on a xperia s and works fine but plugged into my phone doesn't work. So i just use a sony charger and it works fine.

Another development in the story - it's not the charger.
I left it on charger (new charger) overnight, in the morining - 6%. Rebooted it - 90%. WTF
I'm on Android Revolution 30.1 and before it was happening on stock 4.2.2. - any ideas?
Also, should I be worried about CPU-Z showing that the CPU is constantly going from 5% to 70% load when absolutely nothing else is turned on on the phone? (exept sense, no apps from my end I mean)
Check for wakelocks and recalibrate your battery

I ask because today my M8 refused to charge and shutdown after running out of power. I thought the charger might be at fault so I borrowed a friends and still no charge. Sometimes the orange led blinks very brightly and the charging animation appears on the screen but it doesn't take any charge. Other times the orange led is very dim and barely visible. Could this be software related. My phone is completely stock, unrooted and unlocked, running 4.4.3.

when the power gets completely drained
its takes half an hour for it to gain minimum charge to show charge animation.
it will charge eventually just wait and keep calm
All the best.
press thanks if I was helpful.
I left it overnight, still dead. Off to HTC service I reckon
