Hi everyone , I have searched a couple of days looking for some mods, or flashable zips to flash via recovery or some simple methods for doing some kind of position changing or hiding some thing from status bar on my z5 premium E6833 , build .253 .
there was some kind of [TUT] threads that were complicated or not for the use of people like me !
so I was wondering if its possible to have easier ways of flashing files to have better cellphone , thanks in advance ^_^

The only way is to mod systemUI, so that means decompiling the apk and changing some lines of codes, which is probably what you saw in those tutorials...so no easy way if you're not comfortable with those type on things...
The easiest way for you would be with Xposed...you can then use flat style bar indicators module and do pretty much whatever you want with your status bar then
if you have xposed installed then the tweak "flat style statusbar" will do it for you.
what about this kind of changes in nougat ? im on nougat now and xposed is not reachable

Hello everyone!
Let me introduce myself in my first xda thread ever - I'm Pratz. I have been using xda for custom roms and mods since about 2-3 years now. I really love this site and it has helped me learn a lot.
Now to my queries.
(1) I have installed eXistenz Ultra 2.0.5 on my Xperia SL. Since it was meant for the Xperia S, my device is recognized as the S everywhere. How do I change that? My guess is in build.prop?
(2) eXistenz rom has a feature of killing apps when I hold the back button. How do I disable that? By editing some framework files maybe?
Please help me out here. I wasn't allowed to post in the eXistenz thread due to my experience.
If the above problems are unsolvable, can anyone tell me the best Xperia Z2/Z1/ZU framework for Xperia S/SL? The best one I can find is ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2420551 ) but apparently it was last edited in Sept 2013, so I believed there would be a newer one.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, editing build.prop will change the name, but it is highly unsafe to do so, as You may get stuck in bootloop if You edit even a single wrong value. Wait for someone who has done it to reply it to You.
And if You were to search, You would have found the way to disable that kill option in Existenz thread only. Here it is. You can try Honami Style by abo hani, it is pretty good too.

Yea Bro
you can do it by just editing the build.prop
I did so
but make double triple or forable check and be sure that there are no errors in the build.prop
if any prob then u will be stuck at boot
BEWARE!!
if something went wrong just refalsh the rom using flashtools and u are set to go..

- tranfer the rom to internal storage
- Boot into recovery
- Format your phone
- Install the rom
- Enjoy
And yeah, preinstalled apps will be lost if you flash the rom, but music and pictures are retained. Still, its safer to keep a backup

I tested these and they are working fine:
Serajr's xperia xposed (KK), an awesome all round module for looks and functionality
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612179
Screen tweaks by Pezo, cos I really love the CRT screen off animation, and removed carrier label etc.. just check it out!

XperiaFMwoHS, to play FM w/o headset..

Greenify
will provide screenshots soon...
can be used with stock rooted odexed ROM aswell, but if you get systemui FC then clear Dalvik cache from recovery, and do make a nandroid backup before all this, cos the systemui fc gave me lots of troubles (nothing works when this happens! phone goes in a tizzy of random vibrations and fc msgs every second ! touch response is also limited, beware! you have been warned!

Well I use nova launcher because i love it's customisability, in any case I should be able to help you out, otherwise you should ask on Serajr's post.
Yes I have updated to 4.4.3, and i am still using all the xposed modules mentioned above, along with a few more (see screenshot).
So what exactly is not working? Xperiahome.apk fc? Or module not loading? Or changes in module dont stick?
Just a Thought

I agree to an extent , When I had (s)damsung phones I couldn't stand Touch-jiz(wiz) for its U.I. , It sort of felt like a joke of a Home Launcher , child's play, or gimmicky to me. So I swore by APEX or NOVA. The array of settings and features were what sold me.
When I switched over to Sony, My first one being the xperia ION, I was actually impressed at how smooth and clean the launcher was. The simplicity was nice but the lack of Icon changing and the limited preferences was a tad boring. Then Razal Lovins had posted a modded xperia launcher that I still use till this day on my t2 ultra and previous ZL, and T xperia phones.
In my case Xperia Launcher modded does it for me , I bought a SONY phone id like to keep as close to SONY because really their U.I is the greatest , the modded rizal version has everything NOVA offers except the option to customize the way the home screen behaves when swiping page to page.
Dont get me wrong NOVA is great, to each their own.
Just felt like sharing

Its not the one from marshmellow concept, cause the concept does not have themes . Olso there are more options in settings witch by the way he didnt put a screenshot of.
As for those widgets, use xposed to install xperia xposed , change the number of rows and colloms to say 6, restart the laucher, put those widgets, resize them smaller , then revert back to stock rows and collums , done
Wow, It has a pane transition effect selection in home settings. I can choose any effects like Z effect etc.

Doesn't install. Z5 Compact, stock 5.1.1, no root.
But that's probably cause we have a different home launcher than other Z series.

Great stuff. Well done for the port and thanks to Sony, their home is pretty much perfect to me now

Hi friends
are you bored of your Stock rom UI ..?
So here's a new themes and mods where you can easily customize your Stock rom with some nice xposed modules
I Know its not new i mean its already there but i just want to make you feel good in using it for who doesnt have a idea about this
Lets start
Before installing it make sure to backup your current data and everything with a recovery. It is recommended because some modules gonna overrides system defaults so incase if you want to revert back to stock experiance for that u must backup your rom/ if not also not a problem u can flash stock firmware and can get back your stock experiance
1. Download and install xposed installer
here is the video how to install it
2. Now its time for to download modules , open xposed installer there u will see a list of profiles containing framework, modules, download, settings etc.. you just need to hit download and search for modules there
3. Some of the recommended modules for customization
--->Android theme engine (to theme your status and navigation bars icons, colors etc..,)
--->AppOpsXposed (to manage permissions for apps installed in your phone like restricting apps to use your contacts, location,sd card access etc...,)
--->Gem Xperia Xposed (to theme your xperia launcher, system ui )
---> Gravity box
--->Serajir Xperia Xposed
--->Xblast tools
--->Xstana (to change your status and navigation bar icons)
--->Youtube Adway (to block ads in youtube while streaming)
and to theme your launcher follow this guide
Sorry for not detailing about how to use mods but not a problem u can find easily videos on youtube
and its just a little brain work if you know how to use one mod and you can easily know how to use the other mods
IF you have any doubts pls feel free to post you comments

-Make your own theme with Sony theme-creator...
-Or since you're rooted, decompile your systemUI and change the nav bar related png (there should be plenty of guides here on xda on how to do that)...
-You might want to take a look at substratum as well maybe...
-And whenever Xposed comes along, there are modules out there that can simplify that task....
