I had light flow working fine, then I flashed an update with FlashFire and now I cant get light flow or any other notification light app to work at all, The light itself will work with the stock notifications but light flow does nothing, the light flow widget will show me it see's the notification and all that stuff but it will not turn the light on., if I test it in the app I get a quick split second flash but thats it.... I tested it on my wife's phone which has the same build of android on it (but non-rooted) and it all works fine... and if I restore an old backup the app works fine.... I even tried a factory reset after updating with flashfire to make sure it was not any other app conflicting with it and it still wont work.... it seems to be something to due with using FlashFire.... makes no sense.... anyone have this trouble? or anyone have any ideas on what may be going on????

Does anyone know of a way to test the notification lite. I have a feeling mine isnt working anymore. I had lightflow install that was running my notification lights. As of yesteray the light doesn't come on anymore with alerts come in.
Is there a way to test in the system or somethuing to see if its still wroking? thanks
BTW im Rooted and ROMed on AOKP27.
send your self an email, or having someone text you?:????
Email yourself, or use GV to SMS yourself, etc. etc.
Check in your settings, if "Puls Notification Light" is still checked
If it is, reboot your phone. If it still doesn't work, ry a different ROM...

Light flow, notifications, missed call (or any of the apps), all the way at bottom is test. Will probably need screen off to get notification light to blink.

Thanks guys, i tired all that and nothing..i thinks its the ROM im flashing back to 26 see if that helps. Thanks again
Having difficulty getting Light Flow to work on my Nexus (GSM) with JB installed. The sound is a phantom sound from before the JB install (probably from my backup).
I have disabled sound notifications for SMSes in stock Messaging app, in Handcent (which I use), and only have LF enabled sound notifications in SMS/MMS, and changed both of them to the same thing, which is something different than the noise I'm hearing.
Any ideas?
Also having difficulty with Light Flow after updating to stock Jelly Bean. It takes quite a while after booting the phone for Light Flow to appear in the status bar and none of the light notifications seem to work properly.
Is it a Jelly Bean issue and should I just wait for the app to get updated?
I didn't have sound problems with it, but I couldn't ever get the light to go away.. probably just needs to update cause it did the same thing on all the roms I've tried

Same here. I haven't been able to get Light Flow to work either, but I'm also noticing that my notification LED doesn't seem to be working AT ALL now. I'm thinking about reflashing JB to see if that fixes it, but I've tried everything short of that to see if it works and it hasn't lit at all. Not sure what's going on.
If you go check the play store it says that the issues with jelly bean are known and they are working on it.

Mine has been working great with Jelly Bean. In Accessibility make sure Light Flow is turned on. Also, here is my saved lightflow backup file if you want to try it on yours to see if it works.
I'm using Jelly Belly 3.3, did a clean install with the JB bootloader, and restored light flow and data with tibackup.
Good luck! :good:
not to be noob, but what is lightflow?

lets you change the LED colors to anything really.
the developer has claimed the latest version on the play store is working for rooted phones, but I still am not having the best of success. I thought I'd start a thread and see how others are fairing.
The newest version has some improvement; being able to select different colors for different notifications and actually getting them to go off when you've pulled down the notification bar. however, it doesn't blink for me at all. When i get a text or email the corresponding light is a steady constant light if the screen is asleep. If you wake it up the light either disappears or only lights up very infrequently.
I've read some posts before the latest versions came out that some users had success getting it to work by actually turning Accessibility off. This seems to turn off the entire app for me.
anyone having better luck?
I have had the current version working correctly both on a stock TW rom, and now on CM10. The flashing lights haven't been implemented yet, however he is working on it.
The only thing I had to do on the Samsung TW rom was disable Samsung TTS in the manage apps settings. Once I set it to S3 root mode, everything worked perfectly.
I suggest you follow his blog here:http://www.folioflow.com/ff/page/website/lightflow/pageId/1826

I have done all that including following the developers blog. I have accessibility on, only have the light flow notifications turned on, allowed SU access to light flow app, and have tinkered around with it all weekend but it still isn't working correctly. It works fine when the screen is on, but when the screen is off it gives a solid light.
Its not supposed to blink get, that's why I linked you to his blog.

A blinking light will kill the battery or at least use more juice. Dev did say he is looking into that feature tho

Developer advises blinking uses more battery than solid notification. Go figure.
Since I installed Light Flow, whenever the screen is off the LED glows a faint green. First I disabled Light Flow and the led still glows green. I unchecked it under Accessibility and rebooted, still green. Just had to uninstall and reboot to get it to stop. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?

I had that issue when I restored from an old version of light flow. The newest version that I installed straight from the Play Store works fine.
I believe to get other colors other than green, you need to be rooted and go into the app settings and check "S3 root mode" or whatever its called...
Works perfect for me.
EDIT: I think the updated app (as of today) should work whether your rooted or not.
The update version today also supports blinking in adjustable intervals.

You guys should just install cm10 on your phones, it already comes with notification light settings & it works perfectly :good:

I would agree with that almost fully except it's a pain setting up different notification sounds between e-mail and sms/mms. It's also nice to be able to have it make notifications at intervals from missed calls/sms and the light to go away eventually if you want.
But I do have to say, I'm on CM10 - Paranoid Android ROM(latest build) and light flow is working like a charm for me right now. Looks like the bugs have been worked out for the most part.
Hi guys.. I have an international S3 and since a recent Lightflow update, I regularly get lightflow causing wakelock for hours. even with no outstanding notifications. I've uninstalled, re-installed - same problem.
Happened 3 times this week. reboot fixes it.
Has anyone else noticed that the notification LED works sometimes and then sometimes it doesn't. My Wife's phone no longer indicates her of any text messages anymore. I have tried power cycling the phone and doing a hard reset (holding power down until it reboots) and nothing seems to fix it. I ran the LED test in the system menu and the light works. I also checked all the settings and everything is properly enabled. My phone indicates me of text messages but one of my e-mail accounts doesn't update me anymore. Any ideas?

Can you tell if this problem started after you installed and removed a custom led notification app? Many have reported such problems with apps like light flow lite.
I would suggest a reset to factory if the problem persists. Before you do so make sure your data is properly backed up.

All of her settings were properly setup under settings. Also, she has no custom apps for LED installed, nor do I. I noticed on the HTC One M7 forum there is a lot of people complaining about this issue after taking the 4.3 update. That seems to be about the time from from when I first noticed the issue.

Mine works normally but I noticed my notification light is a lot uh... dimmer? after I updated to 4.3. Before 4.3 my notification light used to be incredibly bright and annoying when charging and watching YouTube at night especially when fully charged....that green light was ridiculous lol

Has anyone figured out to get light flow to overwrite the settings for the notification light in settings? It seems like my settings from both are working.

How do you set Light flow? On my phone it doesn't work (Oxygen 3.2.0)
Root
by rooting the op3.. i dont know about the unrooted phone.
For me, even with root and playing around with the LED settings, no luck.. I cant get it working unfortunately. The fancy stock colors the OP3 shows (especially for google+ or tapatalk) are dont even make sense to me.

I've been able to get it to work using Xposed/Gravitybox under the Ultimate Notification Control section.

Confirmed! You just need to get used to the colors, but it is working, thanks for this!
I use Light Manager. A little simpler than light flow and works perfectly fine on my OP3.
My light flow (pro) is working fine. Got snapchat glowing yellow whatsapp green and charging light set to red. Seems to be working fine.

Did you turn on accessibility? And what LED control methods do you have on in settings?

I'm sorry I'm not using light flow. It's actually light manager!

Light Flow Pro here in pair with Legacy (to get rid of the notification) and it works fine...as for the legacy however i contacted the developer and it gives me a modified apk that however will be in the play store (or maybe it is yet)

I'm using this combination as well, and it's working.. sort of. When my screen is off, the notification light constantly cycles through all the available colors, just like when you run the test and have to turn the screen off.. only permanent. Not sure why it's happening, never had this issue w/ any previous devices. I did restore my data from previous install, but I've gone through all the settings and checked/unchecked at some point and it's still happening. Thoughts/

I talked with the developer.. It seems that is an Oxygen OS related issue.. He told me that also the s7 edge was having that issue and it was fixed by Samsung with a software update.. On Oxygen I read also some people that has problem with stock led control.. Then probably there is something buggy on our system..
I didn't try any other led app however.. Did you?

Oh that's good to know, thx for sharing. I haven't tried any other app yet, I just disabled LightFlow for now since the constant cycling has to chew up extra battery when the screen is off. I'm also still on 3.1.3, going to upgrade to 3.1.2 and see if that helps.
