Check what enables my bluetooth - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Hello,
is it possible to check what enables my bluetooth?
After upgrading to latest RR by Taker18 my bluetooth randomly enables after screen unlock. Sometimes when I disable WiFi bluetooth turns on immediately, even after disable. I have disabled the always scanning option in settings.
Probably that's the cause of the battery drain.
Stock rom with stock kernel, no xposed.

WLAN off when Screen off?

Hi,
I just discovered something strange: I use FolderSync to sync Music to my GN. I configured it to only sync when WLAN is available. When I sync and switch the screen of, then the Sync stops immediately and resumes when I switch the Screen back on. Is WLAN switched off when the screen is switched off? Did I miss some settings to configure that?
Thanks
May be related with some auto task killer or process killer like juice defender
Yes you missed some wifi settings. You can set there whether you want to turn off wifi with the screen, keep it always on or keep it always on while charging.
You can find it in:
Settings - wifi - ... - advanced
Thanks martan1981, but this is "always on" on my GN. So thats not the reason
Do you have any battery-saving apps like JuiceDefender or GreenPower installed? That could cause your data/wifi to turn off with the screen.
Or there could perhaps be a power-saving function built in to your ROM? I know AOKP has a Power Saver mode that could be enabled to turn data off with the screen.
wifi sleep policy should be set to never. But some people have a bug where this setting does not stick for some reason. You prob have this bug too.
I also have this problem how to fix it ?

[Q] Wi-Fi Optimization (Android 4.2 option)

Hi all,
I just installed Android 4.2 on my Yakju GNex.
In the Wi-Fi advanced menu, I saw a new option:
Wi-Fi Optimization
Minimize battery usage when Wi-Fi is on
Do you know what does it do?
Does it affect the speed?
It is quite suspicious ... because if it is for BETTER, why make it as an option? Why not enable it by default? !!! *strange* isn't it?
I don't recall that option before ...
Thanks.
Bump
I just checked it and I have it enabled by default ...
I have mine enabled, not sure if it helps or not yet.
Anyone knows what does this option do? With Android 4.1.2 y had the option selected to Turn Off Wifi when screen goes off. But with 4.2 OTA without wipe, it has been changed to Always ON, with this optimization option checked.
Which option do you recommend? I used to have Turn off when screen off because I never turn off the wifi manually, but with this new option I donĀ“t know which option is the most energy saver
This option reduces the speed of wifi when the screen is off.

[Q] bluetooth and wifi power saving

Hello all,
I am wondering if anybody has any ideas on how i can set my bluetooth and wireless to automatically turn off if they haven't connected to anything in 15 or 30 minutes.
The reason i want to do this is after i leave my home i don't need my wifi until i get back home and after i leave my car i don't need my bluetooth until i get back in it at the end of the day, sometimes i forget these things are still on and they slowly eat at the battery...
I've got the Samsung S3 (AT&T) (i747m Canadian version) although its been rooted and installed CM 10.1 nightly build March 06 there must be some way to do this.
thanks for any ideas!
Alex
Not sure about Bluetooth but you can adjust WiFi settings in the WiFi menu within the advance settings

For the wifi, try out this app... it will just blip the wifi every time you unlock the screen, and if a network is available it will leave it on, if not it will turn it off. When the screen is off, it will turn off wifi, depending on your traffic settings. Blipping the wifi on uses very little power, so it is very efficient to do it this way. LOVE this app.

As for the bluetooth, only way I know of is using Tasker... there is a profile available in the tasker wiki that will turn off unused bluetooth after a few minutes.
Also, wrong section...

tectiles you can do this too (either enable/disable or run that app)
Using NFC on the GS3 I came across this YouTube video on using NFC tags with the GS3. With with an app like NFC Task Launcher you can configure your phone to turn on/off wifi, bluetooth, or just about any task or series of tasks you'd like.

WiFi Woes & Power Saver Problems

Having just returned to the latest stock firmware after a couple of weeks testing CM12.1, I am finding that even if I turn "Keep scanning on" off in advanced WiFi settings menu, it comes back on by itself. Also, when I check my battery stats, it nearly always seems to show a solid bar for WiFi regardless of whether my WiFi was turned on or not, regardless of whether always scanning is on or off, regardless of whether location is on or off... it seems to have no effect whatever the settings are.
I am also unable to use the Power Saver function. If I try to open it, I get the "Unfortunately power saver has stopped" message. I read that disabling the stock clock or calendar apps causes this problem, so I deliberately didn't do so. Are there any other stock apps that will stop power saver from working if disabled? I guess I may have to enable everything again and then disable one by one checking power saver each time to find the culprit, but that is a huge pain in the behind, so thought I'd ask you guys on xda first

wifi autostart in airplane mode

If I enable airplane mode, after few minutes my wifi automatically enable by itself. I use the latest official rom [Lenovo P2a42, build p2a42_s251_171107ROW], never rooted. I looked for virus with malwarebyte and I found none. I disabled use of WLAN for improve geolocalization. I don't know which app enable my wlan, I checked apps permissions and I found nothing useful.
I created a task in tasker, when wifi is actived and airplane mode is off then tasker disable wifi. But this is an infinite loop, because when the task ends, the app (or system) soon try again and then tasker again shut wifi off.
How can I fix it?
I don't remember in detail, if it is the same for your stock ROM, but with Pie, there is an option in WiFi settings to turn on automatically if the device is near a known WiFi location. Did you check this?
