N7100 failed to recover - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

These are the facts.
phone wont boot up coz i guess its rom is FxxxED up,
recovery mode (volume up, home, power buttons) only shows the white screen with some straight lines across it.
Only download mode is accessible.
developer/debugging mode is disabled.
is there a way to copy files to it and install them?
adb and fastboot devices are empty..

Confirm the phone model number in download mode.
Download and flash the stock rom from sammobile.com.

Stuck in ODIN mode, no recovery, no bootloader menu

I have a galaxy nexus that when powered on goes straight to ODIN mode, without pressing any buttons. I am able to flash CF's odin files, however the phone boots into SAFE MODE only. It goes back into ODIN mode if I power off and back on. If I use adb reboot-bootloader, it goes to fastboot menu as below.
If I try power+ vol up, I can get to fastboot menu, but I am unable to select any menus, or communicate to the device using fastboot command. It is NOT a drivers issue.
Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Phone Bricked/Problems flashing stock ROM

First off, I have a Chinese model of the Galaxy Note II SCH-N719. I was given this phone for free by a friend.
The phone is now bricked. I was trying to install a custom recovery. After going into the stock Android recovery, I flashed the CWM zip and it bricked the phone.
What doesn't work
- When I load up the phone it will only load up the splash screen and stay stuck there, it will not go any further no matter how long I wait.
- If I attempt to load the phone into recovery mode (Volume Up + Home + Power) it will show a blank screen. I cannot interface with the device via adb or by any other means.
If I boot the phone into download mode (Volume Down + Home + Power) it will show a blank screen/no activity. However, in this mode I can interface with the device using fastboot so I can issue commands to the phone.
What I've tried so far
So because the phone is apparently bricked, I have
-Attempted to flash a custom recovery via fastboot, no difference
-Attempted to flash the stock recovery, no difference
-Attempted to boot directly into the stock recovering using fastboot boot boot.img but it just produced a blank screen
I downloaded the stock ROM for this phone, which is 4.3 (N719KEUCML2). After unziping the contents of this archive, I was successfully able to use the fastboot flash all command to flash the recovery, system etc partitions to the phone.
However, it produced no change in the phone. I have used fastboot to wipe the partitions and individually flash the partitions using the .img files but with no result.
The only thing I was unable to get working was using fastboot update. The stock (factory) ROM for this phone does not seem to satisfy as an Update.zip. I receive the typical "system.img" not being found and it cannot update from the .zip (which is a shame). My worry is that the bootloader partition has been corrupted, however there is no bootloader.img provided in the stock rom!
Do anyone have any experience with this? Would be grateful for your help! If I should put this in a more suitable section please let me know.
Any thoughts on this? Phone is still unresponsive..

How to Enter "Recovery Mode" on Asus Zenfone 2
Turn Off your Zenfone 2
Hold Power button + Volume up
When the phone is vibrating release the Power button
Then the Display change like this
You can select "Normal Boot" or "Recovery Mode" by pressing Volume Up/Down, to enter Recovery choose "Recovery Mode"
Then you will see sleep Android Robot, Press Power button and Volume up, after one second release the Volume up
You will see Asus Zenfone 2 Recovery Mode
after that follow these steps and BOOM BAM !! I DID IT
Download and Install ADB and drivers on your PC.
Download the latest Stock ROM from the Asus website by visiting the following links. If your device got bricked after a recent OTA software update, wait a few days while Asus uploads the latest Stock ROM. On the page below, select Android as the OS and then expand the Firmware section. For non WW devices, please check your regional Asus website for the download details.
Zenfone ZE551ML Stock ROM
Zenfone ZE550ML Stock ROM
Copy the downloaded Stock ROM to the folder where you installed ADB (Generally C://adb)
In power off state, press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power Key till the phone vibrates. Release the power key at vibration, but keep pressing the Volume Up key. Wait for the phone to boot into fastboot mode.
In the fastboot mode, keep pressing the Volume Down key till you see Recovery Mode. Press Power Key to select it.
In recovery mode, select Apply update from ADB.
Connect your phone to the PC and open the ADB folder. Right click while holding down the shift key and choose Open command window here.
Pass the following command in ADB. Replace file.zip with the name of Stock ROM zip (eg: UL-Z00A-WW-2.19.40.22-user.zip) downloaded in step 2.
adb sideload file.zip
Wait for the process to complete as it will take a couple of minutes.
Reboot the phone when it is all done and hopefully your Zenfone 2 will be boot up fine, alive and working again.

Does the zenfone2 have a fastboot mode to flash the firmware manually because flashing Ota updates bricks if you never unrooted you phone. So you should just flash the firmware you were already on then unroot then flash the Ota update

adb is not able to detect my phone. is there any other way to flash the phone ?
and i am just a bit curious to know if its possible to directly flash the phone with CM12.1 without having to go through all those steps (installing the older version and unrooting and installing the OTA) ?

Moto G5 strange problem

Recently the phone has turned itself off and since then I can not turn it on. The phone works but after switching on the logo appears on the photo, the bootloader also starts, but after entering the recovery mode the problem repeats itself. I tried to install the system but I can not turn on the recovery mode, the symbol shown in the picture is visible all the time. Maybe someone already had a similar problem?

To start off with - you don't flash stock firmware in recovery mode you flash it in the bootloader mode which is working looking at your pics using fastboot commands from a command prompt (see stock firmware thread)
You haven't mentioned if your device is bootloader unlocked
If it is you can just flash twrp recovery in fastboot (see twrp thread for instructions)
If your device is not bootloader unlocked (if you don't know then it isn't) then I presume what you are seeing on the recovery is stock recovery
When in this mode when that image appears hold power button then with it held press volume up - this will allow you access to the stock recovery menu where you can perform a factory reset
Obviously if you have unlocked the bootloader & attemptted to replace the recovery you did it wrong & the process should just be repeated but correctly

Flashed wrong ROM (I assume) - help needed

Hi,
So I've flashed my phone with HTC_U11_Eyes_1.00.709.7_rom_backup.zip found here and now I can't get past boot screen with the usual "This build is for development purposes only...".
Screenshot attached.
I keep trying to reset the phone or power it off, in order to get to fastboot/download/recovery and try to get it back to life. BUT, any reboot ends up on the same screen within a second.
Does anyone know how I can save it? Flash it back to stock, anything?
It's a Chinese version bought in China, if that's of relevance.
Thanks!
You should wait U11 eyes out of power, then hold volume down button and plug in USB cable, it will boot to download mode.
While under download mode, leave it charge to 50% then flash TWRP recovery into boot, recovery partition.
https://twrp.me/htc/htcu11eyes.html
Code:
fastboot flash boot twrp-3.2.3-0-hay.img
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.3-0-hay.img
According to your issue, I assume that your device is htc_haydtwl or you can execute the command below and provide the log here.
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Now you should flash RUU to unbrick the device.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/u11-eyes/how-to/rom-htc-u11-eyes-ruu-1-00-1405-9-t3756115
If you can go to download mode you can try this HTC Stock ROM Global not RUU and it has google apps.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l06p8Gc5zJ1csnH6knVOKbFPunlBpD08/view?usp=drivesdk
Download the file and saved it on SD then plug it in your phone, go to download mode and choose update from SD then wait a while
Note: this Stovk ROM is Android 7 and not rooted or modified.
