I just got this phone replaced last week thru T-Mobile, where I had an issue with the charging port not working. Now I got the replacement phone in, used it for a couple of days, and put it back in the drawer. I decided to turn it on today, and to my surprise, the phone is stuck on the boot screen. I've tried wiping out the cache and formatting the phone, only to find out it's still stuck. What can I do to fix this issue?

Hi everyone,
So I've had many problems with my phone (Galaxy S3 by Videotron) ever since I rooted it (5 days ago). It started by simply turning off on its own and taking a lot of time to boot back up. Today, it started doing bizarre things: for instance it wouldn't boot at all unless I tried many many times (it would get stuck at the Samsung logo). Also, when I managed to boot it, the touchscreen wouldn't work very well when I used the keyboard (i.e. if I pressed 'a', it would press 'n' for example and so forth).
So I decided I wanted to master reset it, but whenever I restarted the phone to get into recovery mode, I managed to get there but once it got stuck on the android icon. So I took off the battery and ever since began my huge problems. After that I just couldn't get it to boot back up (always getting stuck at the samsung logo). So I had to take off and replace the battery many times, and now there is absolutely nothing that makes it even get to the samsung logo. I tried the download mode, recovery mode, plugging it on the computer, taking off the battery and plugging the USB: absolutely nothing helps, it's as if the phone is just dead. At this point I have lost any hope If anyone has a suggestion on what I could do, I would be super grateful! And if it is impossible to get it back to work, please let me know also so I don't get any hopes.
TL;DR: Phone doesn't boot at all: nothing shows up when I try to boot it, even in recovery mode and download mode. Same thing if I try to plug it to a computer.
Thanks a lot
PS. Forgot to mention, the phone was charged before it stopped working.

Just because it was charged before it stopped working it does not mean it's charged now so
beg, borrow or steal a new or used fully charged battery and see if you can go into recovery.
OR buy a external battery charger and charge the existing battery.
If you cannot afford a battery charger then beg borrow or steal one.
If you cannot beg, borrow or steal a battery then what I am about to tell you will sound very
strange... but here it goes, this test will let you know if your phone is bricked or not.
Remove the battery and put it into the freezer for at least a couple hours.
Remove the battery from the freezer and wipe all the moister off of it.
Replace the battery in the phone and simply try to turn the power on.
If anything comes up on your screen like the ANDROID logo or anything else it means your phone is NOT bricked
and it means that it needs a fully charged battery to continue to fix whatever the issue is you are having with the phone.
If nothing comes up on the screen and its totally blank black screen then the phone is bricked and needs to be Jtag'ed.
It costs between $30 to $60 bucks to send it to a cell phone shop and have it fixed. There are many of them on eBay.
Good Luck!

Hi!
A little back story, I lost my IMEI a few months ago, Samsung couldn't fix it so I continued to use it as a wifi only device for a couple months.
Fast forward to 3 days ago, I found someone who would repair it, and I can now make calls and so on. I assume they reflashed/formatted my phone, since I lost root, (but an icon with SuperSU was still there, but not with the usual icon).I factory reset my phone after the repair as well
Last evening, I had my phone in my bag for a couple of hours, and later found the device extremely hot, and it was stuck at the pulsing Samsung logo with the led on a solid blue.
This evening, I found the phone the same way, except that I hadn't used it for a half hour. And I don't think the blue led was on.
I'm on stock 4.4.2, not rooted (For fear of losing my IMEI again)
Would be grateful for any help, thanks!
Hey guys, sorry for making my second post ANOTHER problem post and not helping someone, but yeah. Thursday I dropped my phone into my toilet and I had to put my phone into rice and what not. After leaving it in there for all of Thursday and Friday I decided I would try and see if it would work. When I first went to try it it didn't work (as I expected) but I then plugged it in. When I plug it in the battery comes on the screen with the circle in the middle. I tried to boot it, but it got stuck on the "Samsun Galaxy S4" screen. It did nothing. I left it there for about an hour, still nothing. I booted into recovery, (while doing this I also confirmed my touch screen works :laugh wiped the cache and factory reset. To test if it was my battery, I carried my phone to work with me and used the battery from my coworkers GS4 and the phone wouldn't respond at all. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!
My wife dropped her phone into the toilet yesterday, and I'm trying to recover it. I can boot to recovery and get the verizon note boot screen, but then the screen goes out, I get two vibrations, and then it bootloops again.
I tried clearing all data and cache, but I'm guessing the os data is scrambled.
What does that double buzz mean, and does it sound like reinstalling the os again and rebooting will do the trick?
We'd been planning on rooting and installing MM rooted and the MM cyanogenmod here anyway.
advise? (And its a year out of warranty as a launch phone.)
Moisture finally dried up under the camera lens, but now the phone is completely dead.. no power, no nothing. Trying solutions on the web, but so far nothing is working.
Wonder how much samsung charges to fix them?
Hello, I have a Galaxy Note II sgh-t889. The phone worked perfect until I recently flashed it to Android 6 with cynogen mod. The phone worked fine for a few weeks, now the phone only powers on when connected to a charger. When removed from charged it goes back to the Samsung note II logo screen and won't boot past. I don't think it's a battery issue as I can boot in bios and it shows the battery is %95 full. It will sit on the logo screen until charger is plugged in, then will boot fine to OS. I've factory reset multiple times to no avail. I've read other forums of users who experienced similar issues and have narrowed it down to a possibly corrupt flash. The problem being, when connected to my pc the phone won't boot to home screen, it just sits on the logo screen. (So Odin does not detect the phone) The solution I was told is to flash it back to stock/oem rom. The problem is I can't get it to bboot to home screen when connected to pc, only on wall charger. If someone could please give me some insight, I would be more than grateful. I don't have the money atm to buy a new phone, so my only option is to try and get this fixed. Also I don't have an external sd. Can someone point me in the right direction of what to do ? I'm so stumped and I can't stand having to pack my phone around on the charger all the time...
