Facebook Beta 3.5 finally removes legacy menu button

The latest beta of the Facebook Android app has finally removed the legacy software menu button from devices that don't have a menu key like the HTC One.
I'm pretty damn happy to have that screen real estate back. More details - as well as how to join the Facebook beta program if you aren't part of it already - can be found here:

I can confirm this, it's great to see it go. You can also save photos now which could be useful too.

Finally! Hopefully they update the messenger app soon as well.

So you can update this directly through the app store then?

i updated the camera from the play store... there was also a firmware update included with this package? 'cause now, in low light condition there is a very visibile red/pink spot in middle of the photo. From what i've read, it seems to be related with the B/W balancing algorithm.
Reverting to the stock camera app didn't help, when i've time i'll try to flash stock hoping things will get back to normal.
Anyone else with this issue?

Totally something software related since even the front facing camera has the same issue.

But i would stick to the old camera app cause that has more options then the new one cause it only has like 4 options or what.
Its weird that google releases an camera app which isn't even available for its own nexus devices atleast for mine its not but its available for mine archos 80g9

Does anyone have a problem with using the front camera and having the picture coming out flipped length wise?

@FlyingPotatoes : Clear cache and data and open the app again

Camera update on GPE edition?

Not necessarily the camera update but software editing did get an update that allows you to control the amount of blur in the background. Can we get this update on GPE? I prefer GPE over sense but I would like to get the photo editing updates at the same time that sense gets them. Thanks.

edit. in gallery long press pic and push 3 button menu and click edit. popup says htc photo or photo editor

Yes I know the feature is there and I know how to enable it. But an update was released and it did not apply to GPE. Can it be updated?

EMUI 2.3 Camera app

Hi, I'm using EMUI 3.0 and it is much better and more cooler and faster, but I have one thing that I personaly dont like.
So yeah, that camera app in 3.0 has worse effects that in 2.3, so is it possible to install 2.3 camera on emui 3.0
Cuz' that camera had better effects that this in 3.0
Pls say it's possible, because I don't want to downgrade.

If i remember well download gallery apk from 2.3 and with that install you should get camera apk from 2.3. Search the forum or google it "emui 2.3 gallery" and apk is called galery[1].apk something like that

Also looking for the camera apk.. I've intalled the gallery apk. But when I launched the camera, the setting does not appear, just like camera on EMUI 3.0.. This is my main concern..I cannot pick my camera settings on the new interface..

I just installed on my US unlocked U11 and it works so far. What new features are there in sense home other than the swipe up to open app drawer?

Not removed,prism or so is not the same as on 11 and cause of that no notification badges...

Works for me, Sense Home 9.6, custom ROM. The ROM shouldn't matter, honestly. Not sure why it doesn't work for you.

Work also for me. HTC M9+ Supreme Camera Edition ?

Edge launcher installs but no app icon appears, but if you look in the installed app tab it's shows as installed. Does any one know how to activate the app

There is no App icon.
Settings/Edge Sense. Click Edge Launcher for short squeeze action.
Short squeeze and you can edit icons from there

I am not rooted, so I don't think it will work, the edge launcher does not show up in the edge settings

It works on my HTC M9+ Supreme Camera Edition, but I did not understand how to hide/remove the app drawer from the screens.
Is it possible only to keep the swipe up action to open the app list and remove the drawer icon?
