Hello everyone, you can download on XDA many good ROMS but each of them are based on "stable" android releases. That's why I chose to share something else.
I am offering a master branch build
Why use master branch ?
clang 3.8 | daily updates | java 1.8
instructions :
reboot to twrp recovery ( you can use mine if you want to use f2fs or having issues flashing my packages)
flasy my package
reset factory and IF YOU COME FROM ANOTHER DISTRIBUTION delete /sdcard/Android/data folder
flash gapps package ( I recommend opengapps)
reboot
I recommend people to factory reset time o time because of the master branch, it can be required to remove some bugs
What is not working/bugging for now
ROOT: latest supersu are patching the boot image and this doesn't work currently with my master branch releases. You need to use SuperSU v2.56
MXPlayer: for some reasons mxplayer doesn't find libcutils.so while it does exists. So for now, you gotta to use some alternatives: vlc, or what ever

How to use AdwAway
In oder to get AdAway working you need to do the following:
1/ Set a file at

This is not 100% PURE aosp.
The base is aosp master branch. I have included some several extra such :

Well nothing much.
The only critical thing I have touched is android permission : I override user's permission for google play service for the location permission access: otherwise it crashes.
I have uploaded a new build.
Too much changes to display here the changelog.

To me, the main change, is clang prebult updated!
OP updated, root is now working.
I'm not being thick here (sure of that) but despite flashing SU 2.56 , I can't get root permissions at all. Am I missing something?

Nope. I tried flashing superSU on the ROM + open gapps .....the ROM on it's own without the gapps too. Flashed the 2.56 beta build from the link you provided and although supersu appears in the app drawer, the "Enable Superuser" option appears to be greyed out and none of the apps even request root permission.

HmHm it is kinda late for me ( european timezone) but I have no issues using app requesting SU rights. I will take a look however at it tmr.

what opengapps version did you isntall ?
I am using pico, and I have no issue flashing it.

How is your supersu status ?
I have no issue with su.

I was reported an issue when formating to f2fs rebooting to the rom would format the userdata partition.
I investigated the AOSP code source and some commit format the partition if it fails mounting. Ofc trying to mount a f2fs partition with ext4 is considered as a fail...
Flashing my standalone kernel permit to pass that issue : my stand alone kernel will transform ext4 entries to f2fs(and vice versa) depending on the actual underlying fs.
The current release I am using features fixes for this, however, something broke the libsensors, so I need to find out what.

I am uploading a new build, I had issues for days with the builds.
Please tell me if you got bootloop on reboot. From what I saw bootloops do not longer exist.
I uploaded a new build.
It features master branch 02/21 with my latest kernel.
You just need latest opengapps for marshamallow and supersu 2.56.

Grant play service the location permission and it will be fixed.

I had this issue sometimes when installing the Rom and gapps in the same queue.. Installing the gapps seperatly afterwards worked then.. Try this out
Can´t give permissions because of looped warnings.
ROM only works fine.
I think i will wait for Khaons Kernel with DT2W Patch and use CM13.

Hehe sorry for you this issue happens, the real culprit is Google. Since MM, the dev got to ask permission if not given. Google Play Frameworks/Service doesn't ask for this. So that's why you got FC. You should try after a Factory Rest- you need to that anyway when coming from another ROM- not installing Gapps in order to not have the first setup screen where you will get stuck because of the fc's spam.
Then Install gapps, and, since you will boot on the Home Screen, you should be able, with some pain, to get access to the app menu to get Location permission for Google Play Services.
Then, for any upgrade install, you won't have issues as the permission is already granted.

I wanted to share my latest build, as of the 25th feb, but NFC is broken and makes continuous FC'S, this appears also on my friend nexus 6's device, which is still supported by Google. So this is the bad news I've got to understand why this happens, well until Google fixes it or I find the culprit.
However, the good news is, that this friend, maintains more extra features then I do, so the next releases will feature more extra features
This is a permissive kernel built from source for galaxy E series.
As a music lover I always used to enjoy viper4android made by @zhuhang on my old phone.
Then I found about xtrememusic by PDesire and Divinebeats by @TheRoyalSeeker
Then I got the E series and those sound mods didnt work with selinux set to enforcing.
And now it runs flawlessly
All kernels are built from source with little to no improvement only selinux set to permissve.
Although I might have done some overclock or undervolting. I dont really remember. So enjoy.
If you are a music freak the i suggest to flash the xtrememusic mod or divinebeats mod . THEY ARE AWESOME.
This will trip the knox flag thereby potentially voiding your warranty.
I hold no responsibility in any case if you decide to flash this product.

I wanted to try it, but I am using my phone on a daily basis and don't have an alternate VoLTE phone... Also I am a bit inexperienced in development... :crying:
Tried given steps..
1st latest version not worked when clicked on ROM, failed.
I tried bit old version say 9.3 build 179.. Clicking rom worked.
Then followed all steps but not seen X01BD device while patching zip.
This much i did.. Will check other ways.

Did you follow the official method ? Which recovery are you using ? TWRP or PBRP ?

I have tried it finally... Both unofficial method as well as official..
1) Unofficial method does not seem to work, because the app crashes when we click on the ROMs section... This happens for all snapshots from 9.3.0.r340 onwards... I tried the snapshot before this one i.e. 9.3.0.r327 and there were no crashes. I continued with the unofficial method, flashed PATCH.zip, gave root permissions etc but this method did not work...
2) I tried the official method. I forked the project on Github, made the neccessary changes to the asus.yml file and created a pull request.

Now we wait for the changes to be merged with the main repo ... Then test the new release...
I didn't have enough bandwidth, otherwise would have built the apk from source myself... Still there is time ... I'll try to see if I can build the apk ....

Some information you should know..
This is a fully working MIUI sGSI with Android version 9.0
If you want to report a Bug, read the F.A.Q First Then provide a logCat OR LoggingKit.zip with detailed explanation
Read the instructions and the F.A.Q Before installing the rom or posting a reply.
I don't own any files here, except patch files.
So, we are here with sGSI. It's normally called "unstable" and "not for daily usage" so users are recommended to go for GSI. But GSI lacks features and has AOSP-like design that some users may be bored of that. And now we finally break that law. sGSI can now be used as daily drivers.
As the nature of these sGSI go, it was a non stop battle for almost 3 weeks straight to get it to this point where all features are working as expected. if you appreacite this work Hit the Thanks button
RULES OF POSTING : READ everything before commenting, And especially the instlal steps, the rom has been tested throughly for a long time, so if you have an critical issue like not booting or no sim, you missed the instructions, posts that are irrelevant to this project will be ignored(Constructive criticism is welcomed). Install steps:
ensure you have LATEST TWRP from Here
Download all the files in the DOWNLOAD section
Wipe everything (SYSTEM,DATA,CACHE,DALVIK and preferably Internal storage all together)
Flash Project Spaget 3.0 (not X!) here and follow the steps there.
Flash MIUI-Aonly-9-20191230-ErfanGSI.img to SYSTEM
Flash your desired kernel, either Cronos or KRAKEN (must be using Treble version)
[IMPORTANT] Flash Magisk in order to have patch working
Flash sGSI-Patch.zip
Flash NFC Patch
After the boot animation is on for 30~60 Seconds. Hold VolumeDown+power until the device reboots
Install Google Play Services apk in Downloads section in order to get setup working

Updated FAQ and sGSI patch. I forgot to add an important fix in patch, so anyone using this MIUI, reflash the new patch right now :good:
I tried again, followed all the steps as requested. On the first boot, I restarted the phone after approximately 30 seconds. But I still bootloop. I'm using Project Spaget 3.0, but I can't find a topic in the forum. Could you send me your Project Spaget zip file?
My logcat is on attachments
nfc not working. I installed the fix on the twrp and it failed, I had to install the fix when I started the cell phone so that it did not give me an error and it appears as a module installed in magisk but it does not work

This is a guide to install mods for OP8 Pro that improves the stereo speaker setup. I have helped many OP8 Pro users to achieve this. Some other OP users as well.

I am here to post my method for anyone who is interested. I have tested this myself and helped others to do this.
Issues:
IMPORTANT:
Setting SElinux can have security issues noted by @topjohnwu.
Viper4Android can be installed with SElinux Enforcing and Permissive. Choose SElinux Enforcing not Permissive
Installation Method:
With new Viper4Android Repackaged module
If you have other audio mods
Download Audio Modification Library from the links section
Install Audio Modification Library, reboot and disable it
Otherwise, skip to the next step
Download the latest Viper4Android Repackaged module from the links section
If you want to use the extra V4A features...
Download and extract all the guide setup or the other .zip file I attached below on your device. You need the DDC, Kernel and Preset folders.
If you downloaded and extracted on a separate device: Connect your device, copy and paste the folders into your internal storage.
Otherwise, skip to the next step
Install the Viper4Android Repackaged module.
Reboot.
Open the app and grant root
DISCLAIMER: On custom ROMs or certain devices, the drivers are installed, but NOT working properly after reboot. Just continue the method and comment if there are issues once u have finished the method.
If you have Audio Modification Library installed
Now go into magisk manager, go into modules and enable AML.
Reboot
Otherwise, skip to the next step
If u used the guide setup.zip file: in V4A app just press the file icon for presets and choose the preset.
Now make sure V4A driver is running (read Notes) and go into convolver -> impulse response. Choose any kernel, and done. OR choose the preset for that and done. If you have issues, make sure legacy mode is on but it is on by default.
Choose to your heart's desire if you downloaded all the V4A DDC and kernel files.
I personally use Dolby Digital Plus - Centre kernel
Done, also post the settings or kernels and your thoughts.
I also attached a screenshot of my configuration
Also, for new users if u connect your earphones like via headphone jack, USB-C or Bluetooth. You can tweak those as well. Not just your SPEAKERS! BUT some earphones can be damaged as well, so tweak them at your own risk.
After much tweaking myself. I think I have made my speakers much better on my 8 Pro.
I have attached a screenshot to the thread at the bottom. I have attached a screenshot for my headphones too!
I have added the individual settings as well. If u want to tweak them just press the text and it should expand.
The toggles I have on are for my speakers:
Master Limiter
Playback gain Control: Strength: 2, Maximum gain: 3X, Output threshold: -1.9dB
Convolver: Dolby Digital Plus - Centre, Cross Channel 100%
Speaker optimization
I have also tweaked my Bluetooth earphones as well with a DDC and the screenshot is attached below. I recommend Dolby headphone Live, but that's up to you.
U can add files in the DDC folders in the Android folder, but reboot and then tweak to see the difference. U CAN RISK DAMAGE IF U TWEAK TOO MUCH
You have completed the guide and can now experience dual/stereo-like speakers on your OP6/6T.

Notes:
Viper4Android sometimes doesn't turn on properly. So, play music and open the app to check the driver. The Driver status if it's working (NEON enable: yes, Enabled: yes, Status: Normal) and turn on the master limiter to see if there's an effect. This should give you an indication if V4A is working or not
I have attached DDC files below and you do the same thing with kernel files, but they are used for headphones.
You can try and use the preset (profiles). You don't have to use the preset files, they are there to make the setup easier for those who don't want to tweak too much.
If u want to add the custom presets:
Choose the specific presets u want
Transfer them into Android -> data -> com.pittvandewitt.viperfx -> files -> presets
Transfer the V4A.zip in internal storage
Reflash the V4A.zip again and reboot
Install the V4A driver again and reboot
V4A driver should be working, check the presets and it should be there
Enjoy having your presets
Fix for V4A:
There has been noted issues during the installation with V4A. If you experienced a bootloop after installing V4A in magisk...
Boot into OrangeFox, -> advanced -> file manager -> data/abd/magisk/modules and delete the V4A folder.
Reboot to system, install the module in magisk again and reboot. It should install.
Another issue was that V4A driver is installed properly, but there are no enhancements to the sound. To fix this, go into settings -> turn on and off the legacy mode toggle. This should restart the effect and make it stay on.

Not sure about the OP8 sadly as I don't own one and this guide could be used for other android devices too
This guide is a duplicate from my previous dual speaker guide for the OnePlus 6/6T. But this guide can be used for other android devices or users who just want to install Viper4Android
2/11/22 - Updated the Installation method as I found a new updated version of Viper4Android (Repackaged)
Tested the module and it works on Android 12 and Android 13
AML does work on Android 13 as well
3/2/23 - Updated the method Viper4Android method as repackaged installs the DDC, Kernel and preset files during installation.
So, u can just download and extract the compressed .zip file into internal storage and V4A will install the files for you during installation.

Setting SElinux can have security issues noted by @topjohnwu.
Viper4Android can be installed with SElinux Enforcing and Permissive. Choose SElinux Enforcing not Permissive
Installation Method:
Install Audio Modification Library, reboot and disable it
Install the viper4Android module.
Choose the option to install with SElinux Enforcing not SElinux Permissive
If a new version of viper4Android module is available, install that
Reboot.
Open the app and grant root
Install drivers in the app and it will reboot automatically

Hello! Can't install on OnePlus Nord 2. SElinux Enforcing.
You are describing a method here with 'not SElinux Permissive'
Help me please.
2. Choose the option to install with SElinux Enforcing. When installing the module, there is no such preset. Basically, I've tried everything. It doesn't work... you need to somehow change SElinux

U could just uninstall the v4A module in magisk manager. Then try again and choose SElinux enforcing. Also, this guide is for the 8 pro not nord 2. I don't own a nord 2 and only tested on the 8 pro

oxygen is the same. And when does he suggest choosing SELinux? It installs automatically and that's it.

First of, what version of magisk are u using? I only use stable (V23), where are u getting the viper4android .zip file/module? I have added the download link in the thread. If ur getting it from magisk manager, the one to use is the viper4android FX (Not legacy and not XHiFi)

That's great. I don't own an OP8 so idk if it works. Hopefully, u used the kernel and DDC files too as they make a difference in my experience. Thanks for your feedback

Yes, I'm using version 23 of Magisk. I tried to install viper4android FX (Not legacy and not XHiFi) from the Magisk repository, as well as separately downloaded zip viper4android FX v2,7,2,1. But it doesn’t give a choice in which mode to put it, it just puts it all. Android 11. My English is bad, maybe I'm not expressing myself accurately, sorry. Also install the AML library. I saw how they put it on Pixel 3 / 4a, but the version of magisk is exactly 21.1. I can't downgrade.

Do u install it in magisk manager? if u installed it properly (without the magisk manager crashing) and leave it to install... The install terminal should show a question + options for u to choose if u want SElinux enforcing or permissive. U choose by pressing volum up or down. Up for enforcing and down for permissive. The the reboot button should show up. Maybe take a screen shot and show it here

I previously checked my comments and found that V4A can cause SElinux to be permissive on some OSs. There's a magisk module that will set your SElinux back to Enforcing with no app needed and it's a just a command that will set your SELinux back to enforcing during every boot. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...b-root-selinux-permissive-enable-eng.4050041/

I'll test ... this post also interested me, by the way, changing boot.img did not help, is the phone bootlop. This is what I experimented with.

You should goto app settings Unrestrict battery usage for both SELinux and Viper.
1. Install SELinux apk enable permissive on boot.
2. Magisk install Viper 12 Fix module no reboot
3. Magisk install Viper
4. Open Viper grant root and then press ok phone will auto reboot.
5. After rebooot pen Viper setting enable Lagacy mode .... done.
