Back side glass getting scratch . It seems actually thats not a glass , looks some kind of plastic material . Clear me . Am using that mod case which provided by company , because of that corners are getting even more scratches.

To my knowledge it is gorilla on front and back, if u do a quick google search you can find this topic being discussed in the moto/lenovo official forums. Where the authority has confirmed that front and back has gorilla glass 4.
Its gorilla glass 3 on front and back.

Quote where you find it's Gorilla For? And also the crystal of the camara lens is Gorilla -1!
it may be gorilla glass in the front and in the back, but some brands puts a plastic protector (like sony) in the back in order to remain the glass in one piece when your phone breaks
Its not my moto z but here you go the example
I knew there was a plastic something on the back of this thing

hi i was wondering if you buy a galaxy note front glass only and apply some silicone glue to it can you use it as a screen protector here is a link http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-GT-...sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351699974&sr=8-1-spell
This probably won't work, they thin layer between the two sheets of gorilla glass will cause problems with registering your finger, especially if there is silicone in the way

You may want to look at the Spigen GLAS.t; same idea as what your talking about. It's chemically hardened glass, not gorilla glass, but it works fine over top of the regular screen. It does cost a bit more than what you linked to.

Demonstrated by Erica in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqWCTkVe_EY&list=UUB2527zGV3A0Km_quJiUaeQ&index=23&feature=plcp :victory::highfive:
Exactly - Spigen or this other one (there was another one, cheaper). Right now your idea doesn't make sense. Using the front glass as a screen protector? What for? If I bought a front glass I would simply stop using screen protector altogether and just change my front glass for the one I bought when my original glass gets too damaged.

No and I don't think you have one. The only "screen protector" which it cames with is that from photo below.

As far as I know the back of LGOG is also Gorilla Glass 2, you can have it applied with a protector also, like me, both back and front of my LGOG is covered with protectors.

Problem is when it falls on its side. I don't use any case for my OG so I have it masked.
IMHO: Use a bumper or a case, it'll be enough, unless you keep it with pointy objects (IE: keys).
But, use at least a bumper or a case!
Yea,a bumper should be enough, that damn silver frame is so fragile.
The has both GG2 on front and back. Pretty resistant sh!t,as long as you don't get it in contact with sand particles. Otherwise, the glass stands against many materials:keys, coins, what ever you have in your pockets. But the sand will eventually make micro scratches. It's normal, since sand is tougher than glass,as it's one of the ingredients. sand particles in pocket will act like a sandpaper, very abrasive.
I had an s2 for more than 6 months,no scratch from plastic or metal. Same with my galaxy note.
Now, the G. Pretty tough, the only thing that needs protection is the frame. That chromed plastic is soooooo damn sensitive....)
Just remember that it is scratch resistant and not scratch proof.
Is the glass completely scratch ressistant? Is it pure glass or is it groilla glass?
I honestly dont understand why u wpuld remove it? Its like a perfectly fit protector u never bought
Hello Omaro,
Z1 Compact uses Dragontrail glass which is as strong as gorilla glass. The glas does however not come with a oleophobic coating
As an answer to your first question there's no glass which is 100% scratchproof. Minerals can scratch pretty much any types of glass, and by minerals I'm talking about sand, stones etc etc.
The reason why most people wants to remove the preinstalled antishatterfilm is due to that it collects dust, fingerprints and its very easy to scratch. It's not recommended to remove it if you're not planning to apply a oleophobic coating on top of the glass.
Hope my answer cleared any doubts,

The surface of the glass under the plastic film is not as smooth as other phone screens. I think this is because it is not intended to be used without a film above it.
I removed Sonys plastic film and added Orzly Tempered Glass Screen Protector (you can use any other tampered glass protector). nearly perfect for my and much more scratch resistant than with the plastic film.

The reason because it does not feel as smooth is because of that there's no olephobic coating on top of the glass. You need to apply one yourself using a liquid solution, and it'll feel like on any other phone.
thanks guys^
but does this olephobic coating u speak of wear off after time?
EDIT: btw I cant see any anti shatter film on the backside of my phone. Shouldnt there be on there as well?
ty in advance.

nope. the z1c has a plastic black. no shatter-protection necessary, but causes the flashbleed problem. some people have replaced theirs with the glass back from the z1f, though.
I don't have any screen protector and am very happy with that. No need to put some ugly stuff on the front glass.

My s4 never got scratshes and i didnt use protecotrs. So a glass back would be a neat feature.

That's why many people (including me) replaced their back cover with the one made of glass from the Japanese Z1f:

i don't know of any camera cover for the Z1. besides, a cover would hinder the phone's camera from taking nice photographs. you could buy a tempered glass protector for the front and back. the tempered glass would add some bulk to your phone, (0.3 mm per side) and that raise would allow the camera to not touch any surface. also, the camera glass is sapphire. I've been using it caseless with a film protector at the back, no scratches yet. It has taken a lot of falls, so it can take a beating. but don't torture it.

I am talking about the glass.
i dont think that my camera is covered by a glas . I can feel the metal camera ring and the back of the phone seems to be cut around the camera lens.
im also planning to buy the Camera Lens protector. does it affect the quality of the pictures?

You can get an aliminuim case that doesnt really make your phone look ugly
I already installed a lens protector (devilcase brand) it doesnt affect the quality of the camera/photos.
Using a Devilcase camera lens protector for a month or two now and no negative side effects yet so it's good.?
