I can't get the Outlook notification to work. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app and made sure to grant all permissions. Outlook worked fine with Nexus 6p on7.1 PR, so it shouldn't be a Android version problem. Notification for other apps are all normal.
Anyone else have the same problem?
Not having any issues here. Make sure you gave it admin access

Hi
I am asking myself why the pocket outlook is such a mess/crap. What software are you using for emailing?
I am using lonely cat profimail, but I would like to have a client, which is a little more integrated. The problem, I have with the built-in software is, that the switching between the accounts and folders is crap. I am using IMAP on 4 mail accounts and switching between them is more or less crap.
so please give me some ideas on other software..
thanks
It's Profimail for me all the way. Haven't found any decent alternatives.

I'm using flexmail. It's in beta, but a very good app.

Does it work on the dash?
I says that the aplication could not be installed due to the unthrusthat certificate, how could I install the app?
I've installed flexmail, but I've uninstalled it after a few days. Now I can't acces the standard SMS/mail-application. I get an error that Flexmail can't be found.
Does anyone have a solution?
TIA

i installed it the other day and uninstalled it with no problems. make sure you go into settings and uninstall from there. if it is still a problem, try to use a file browser and make sure that all files associated with this program are deleted, then power cycle your device. there is obviously still some part of the program installed
I had the same problem not being able to use sms afet flexmail was removed.
use file explorer go to Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder and delete the fleximail icon. Reboot and you should have no problems, I'm not.
I've uninstalled it the correct way, and deleted everything that was left in the programs folder, but I still can't use the original sms/mail-software... :-(
I still get the same error (Could not find 'Flexmail', check this and that and bladibla... translated roughly from my Dutch s620)
Can anyone help me?
Thanx!
it tried flexmail now, becaused i used it on my pocket pc. but the smartphone version does not really come close to the ppc version. too bad. I really liked it..
maybe it gets better with new version...
ps: uninstall worked good. i still can use the built-in mail thing

The quickest way to fix this if you haven't already figured it out is to reinstall the flexmail application to the smartphone. Once reinstalled, go into the options and deselect use flexmail as the default program for both mail and sms/mms.
Then, [IMPORTANT] soft-reset the device (which btw is good practice when using WM smartphones). Once the phone has rebooted, immediately go into settings and uninstall.
You should not have any issues with the uninstall if it is the first thing you do once the phone reboots.
Good luck!
Thanxalot, that worked!
Hi
Having trouble with Gmail since rooting to ARHD.
When I do emails on my PC (e.g. read, delete) the changes are reflected in the Gmail app on the phone. Push notifications are fine too.
But it doesn't work the other way around, i.e. when I mark emails as read or delete them on the phone, the changes never appear anywhere else - so when I log in to PC Gmail it's as if I've never done anything on the phone.
I thought it was do with sync settings, but they are all "on" - and even if I do a manual refresh in the app, nothing happens .
I've done some searches, but nothing I've found quite matches this problem (I could have missed a solution of course!).
Any ideas please, as this seems so simple to solve it's driving me crazy?!
Thanks
Rob

Fingers crossed but I think that's done the trick! Many thanks.

I was wondering if anyone else at XDA is having this issue:
I am running 4.0.4 on an unlocked GNex on AT&T. Gmail is notifying me of new messages. However, if I mark them read or delete them on gmail.com, the notification does not disappear from my GNex. I have to manually click on the notification and then it disappears. None of previous android phones have done this. They always remove the notification when I mark it as read somewhere else. I have tried to re-sync gmail and I also cleared data for the gmail app. Seems to be a bug with 4.0.4. Anyone else experiencing this?
Only found this while researching this issue:

I would start by deleting data from the Gmail app...

Tried that. Had to re-sync everything. Still not working. GNex still has notification of a new message that I deleted from gmail.com over an hour ago....
Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks
Currently I am rooted and running lokifish's script. However, I have had this issue before root.
Lately when syncing, everything syncs just fine except contacts. That one errors out saying there is a problem and to try again later. The only way I can fix it is to delete my Google account and re-add it. This is not during initial setup but during normal use.
Is anyone getting this and is there a fix or something to check that might be causing the error?
Thanks

I have this issue too. Hasnt sync'd properly since I got the OTA.
Hello guys, my gmail notification doesn’t work anymore: the email is received correctly so the sync works, and if I use another notifier (like Go Notification app) it works, but not the gmail notification. It stops working I presume after installed the K9mail app, for fix the annoying issue for long mail cut by gmail ( I wasn’t able to see my Expedia reservation LoL), but now seems that Google finally fix that bug.
I tried several times to clear/stop/sync unsync, but nothing! I uninstalled K9mail, downgrade gmail…nothing: the gmail notification in the panel doesn’t want to show up, all others notification are ok, even the standard samsung mail app.
Of course the gmail settings are ok: sync, notification panel and so on.
I’m pretty sure there is somewhere a conflict, but really no idea where.
Any advice?
I’ve a At&T stock rom JB 4.1.1 Rooted.
Thanks

If you are using the latest Gmail inbox with categories, then notification is enabled by default on the primary folder only. To enable for other folders, open the folder eg updates, click on menu>label settings. Check label notification and notify for every mail.

Doesn't work. I searched around internet and seems there was a bug with K9mail notification and Gmail. They fixed but apparently not completely. Before i installed K9mail everything was ok, now there is something messed up, and my gmail notifications are gone.
