Hello forum,
I purchased a SGH-T889V Galaxy note 2 and tried to root it. The whole time i was under the impression it was the N7100. Obviously it was not and now i've screwed the phone where you get the yellow triangle thiingy. I need the original rom as i have looked high and low and there is nothing out yet. Its the Wind version of the phone launching here on |Oct 30th.
PLEASE HELP!!
I've tried everything but nothing seems to work..i.e. Samsung Kies, Odin..etc..
thanks!

Hi. Google checkfus. Download it and use it to pull official firmware from Samsung servers then use Odin to flash it to your phone.

There is nothing for this phone on checkfus webversion... yet. But yes OP, do download checkfus and check it often to see if anything pops up for you to use... Maybe there already is something available that I just couldn't see in the web version.
Thanks guys for the recommendations. I'll keep an eye out. Right now I have an $800 brick on my desk.

I got it from a reseller off Kijiji and not sure which bands are supported since there was no box. I know it sounds shady but it's not!!! I was using it on Bell for a whole day before this madness happened

hmm I am not sure how to do that, if you can direct me to a tutorial I'd definitely do it.I am not sure if that can be done actually, since it's not rooted. Anyways, if I get time during the weekend I'll look it up and do it myself.
PS: I think we got it from the same seller lol
Sorry to hear that again. Were you able to access Bell's LTE and HSPA? Thanks, cause I'm on bell too!

I received mine a few days ago. It is a great device for it being a little aged spec wise. It has been a while since I have messed with a Samsung device. Reading up this knox thing seems to be a huge pain in the rear.

Yeah I played with the demo at the store I liked it alot and ordered a new one on eBay because of the size, and spec wise it is pretty decent due to the size and it supports microSD I am very happy. If I had a few more tools and was more up to date I would do it. Unfortunately I have always relied strongly on the skills of the members here. I know someone will be through here in a bit after the phone has a little more exposure. It looks like we probably do need a few files that are more specific to this device. 1 thing I already noticed is that some variants of this device do not have a notification light.

No. It won't reverse the firmaware version. It will only wipe all user data. The problem with updating is that it may or may not render the root exploit that devs are working on as incompatible or useless. Also new update might enhance the security in the firmaware with chances to make it even harder to root. The opposite could happen as well.

Do you have the Hong Kong version? I think you'll be fine. The US Carriers are the one making things harder by providing a Kdz firmware with a modified version # 01. So, users can't be 100% stock if they try to reverse. Your's can be reverted anytime. Your phones Kdz file ends "00" ours ends with "01" but wait and see if the root method works or not when released.

its include samsung pay
Is that the only change? I got it to but already had Samsung pay so I'm not sure what else changed.
Only thing that changed is the build number from U2 TO U3
Sammobile had an article about u2 to u3 was going to be a major update. Lol its probably just Samsung pay as we can see here
Thats mean we will se android 6 very soon on Galaxy s6 edge
Samsung pay will not open. It just sits and says loading. Anybody else with the same issue or does it open for you?

May be the beta has been closed?
It's going to be released to the public on Sept 28, maybe they are rolling it out a bit early to make sure we all have it. Then activate it when it's released.
Edited: tmobile on its website says the update is for "Various bug fixes and improvements".
Samsung pay had an update to include features like swipe up when the screen is off and others. This is Samsung actually sticking to the release date. The major update is 6.0 and should be release shortly after the announcement. Sammy and Android know they fall behind timely updates so its only going to improve in speed.
