Hi guys,
Any one knows, when we will update of android 7.0 NAUGAT on our htc desire eye.
Is anyone creating any custom rom of desire eye?
Nought doesn't support snapdragon 801 cuz it requires Vulcun API which the Snapdragon 801 does not support. New news suggest that Nought doesn't require Vulcun API to run at all which means there could be a nought rom for desire eye in future probably a port. But so far I guess the only device that HTC has brought 7.0 is on HTC Bolt which just recently released with sense 8 on top so I guess devs here would extract and make a port of nought rom from that device and first port it to M8 and then rest of the 801 phones like desire eye. Over all we could see some development in the next few months.

One M8 already has working CM14.1 build (Android 7.1), so it's possible to port it to Desire Eye.

CM. Builds are possible. However the development ran into issues in porting CM to desire eye always. There is the issue of camera and nfc. If anyone can fix those issues then ya it's possible to port m8 cm14.1 to desire eye. Ask devs over here like mini or aj20010319 if they can port it.
I ported it to Eye and yea it works, don't know about NFC, maybe it will work or it mayn't, camera works and vibrator doesn't work as of yet.

I can't. It's out of my knowledge. If sun_dream ports it to M8, I will bring it to Eye for sure.
And why not carry roms of xiaomi miui 8?

I'm also interested to a full working CM
The major work is port the desire 2.6.29 kernel stuff to cm-kernel 2.6.33.4
Some fix is also needed to the userspace tool, but this is not an hard work

AhmgskMod have made a good work on the paul CM port but he's also searching a kernel hacker
I am fairly unexperienced with the kernel but am now working on porting to the last cm kernel. I can't make any promisses though.

I dont think you can install it because it must be ported to Desire. As far as i know. so if i were you i would wait till a developers releases a custom ROM

Spot on. There are elements of the kernel which will have to be updated/modified to work with the desire.
No disrespect, but why are you lot waiting for this to be ported when there is a rom built from source specifically for the desire by AdamG?
Would you not consider a rom built for the desire from source to be better than one ported from the N1?
Adam's Rom is the fastest and most stable yet. That counts for something.

You answer your one question. The only one that can make a 2.3 rom with sense is HTC. As long as there is no leaked or released rom from HTC it's not gone happen.

Sense isn't written to go with 2.3 so it will not appear until HTC have re-written Sense to work with Android 2.3

unlike AOSP, htc sense is CLOSED source.. they are only required to release their kernel source
so if there was someone gutsy enough to port it... they would have to reverse engineer the drivers from scratch

Not necessarily - We had Froyo with Sense before HTC released their kernel sources, and official Froyo RUU's with Sense.

Dude... Android 2.3 is Google's and Samsung Nexus S .. not HTC. Don't know if HTC will ever produce anything ... Coming next is thunderbolt

I sort of understand.
I understand Sense isnt included and yes, that makes sense (no pun intended) as it is HTC's baby.
Then my question would be better suited as:
Are there stock 2.3 Android ROMs? Most ROMs I see in the developers section have stupid modifications and addons that I can put in myself. I want something stock and then Ill add the neccessary addons/themes if I want.
Look at Oxygen, it's built from source and is pretty much stock 2.3

I would wait a while yet I have tried Oxygen and although it works it not yet a viable replacement for a good Froyo ROM. I guess that as the maonth progresses things will change and Gingerbread will be good enough for every day use but it's just my opinion that it still has a way to go.

Dude no custom roms are out. I don't find it disrespectful to request but come on. Let the devs actually get a beta Los rom, or something along that line, up and running before we start requesting this rom or that rom.

Will we ever get custom roms for our a50, all available roms are either crappy non working worst gsi's, and other's are samsung one ui with some tweak. Atleast i was expecting a stock android rom.
Don't make excuses if developers wanted they would've done it even I'm shocked newly launched some mediatek powered realme phones having bunch of stable roms but not this device.

Just stay with default One UI! These days performance and battery on stock roms are good, if not better than custom roms! Especially camera quality is the main reason to say stock.

There is one on YouTube miui 12.5.4 for A50 verients it smooth fast and stable comes with apps not sure about root check it out
