Hello,
Lately and after PJ1 update, gallery starts to behave oddly, no thumbnails for most photos. Also Whatsapp(updated) freeze whenever I choose a photo to share through gallery!

Go to settings/application/application manager and search for gallery
Press storage
Clear data and cache
Reboot device and all will be good
Try smart manager also just press clear all tab
Clear data of app that you are trying to share with also maybe that app causing this issue.

You have to have a nandroid back up of a ROM with working SMS
Go to titanium backup
Setting
Scroll to "Extract from nandroid"

Click it
Choose the most current backup
Click the icon to the right

Click the green check mark
When its done, reboot.
Your done and it always works.

I always hate when Google restores contacts. The pictures look like crap. If you use large pics for contacts and want to keep them looking great on the screen. Set all contacts as you like. Do a nandroid. This way you will always have it. When I fash a ROM, before I reboot, I mount the system, go to advance/file manager. Navigate to system/app, delete the Google contact sync apk. You can also freeze the google sync in tbu, if you dont want to delete it. This will stop Google from screwing with the pics. Then just reboot. I do this and don't really care that gmail doesn't have my contacts. There are other ways to do that. As long as you know what your doing in that file manager, you can delete all kinds of not needed crap. I myself delete all the ringtones before rebooting after flashing.
You most mount the system to get into the system stuff.
I also restore my contacts this way.
Follow the same steps as above except
Check the "contact storage" box
Click "data only"
Clicking app and data may cause a contact fc if going from different ROMs
Click the green check
Reboot when its done
If you choose to not delete the Google sync. Freeze it in tbu. Delete all contacts and do steps above in tbu.
Again make sure you have a good nandroid first.

Nice write up bro...good job..very informative.. thank you
I cannot seem to get this trick to work. I am on a ported 4.4.2 rom for the Verizon note 2 and this will not work.
@DaFox is a pimp. TBO rocks too.

I have seen these errors EVERYWHERE but noone matches my exact problem or reaches any solution.
Whenever I download an app, it says this.

Even when
and
Whenever I MANAGE to solve that problem with mysterious ways that I don't even know what I do, then this appears
And before someone says something I have already tried, I have:
Cleared the playstore cache and data
Cleared cache and data of play services
Wiped cache and dalvik
Reflash gapps
Using mobile connection
Another wi-fi
NEVER used luckypatcher
NEVER used titanium backup
Also, I have updated to the most recent playstore (4), still the same thing.
I am seriously desperated about what to do, it just won't work..
I had this problem on my phone tok once
I tried force stopping and clearing data and it didnt work
I reinstalled my rom and jst restored via CWM and it seemed to work
Never had the problem again
U cud also try installing some other app? Some apps jst wont install thru play store for me

Check if there are .odex files without correspondent apk inside system app and data app,and delete them..
Use an app like SystemCleanup to clean up unnecessary files, dead app data files, cached files etc. This should free up some space in your data partition.

The internal storage space shown in that application page is not correct
Even it shows 15x mb, I found it's only 25-50 in titanium backup
Maybe that's the Rom problem, I tried uhd and there are lots of storage space

Thanks!! I'll check this out and report back later.
Edit: Your Dropbox is empty. If I use the zip does it delete the old secgallery or disable it? I wanted to use method 1 so I could disable so I have it just in case.

Here is a link for the S4 google edition camera apk. Installs like any other .apk works on my note 10.1 without affecting my stock camera app. I havent tried it on the s2 cause I no longer have it but I'm sure it will work.

i tried to run the .apk on my build of 10.1 AOKP and it did nothing. I ran this zip file from TWRP and it works, though it does crap out when you try to edit a photo from the gallery. but the camera part works without issue, i don't use the stock gallery much anyway so it's fine with me.

one more thing u can do..go to setting>app ¬ification>app info> 3 dot menu >reset app preferrence
1. You go to settings and then apps & notification then go-to app info then find Google play store " Click to Force stop" then click storage & memory then click clear data , then restart your phone that's working fine.
I had the same issue every 3 4 days and I'm doing this and working for me
Sorry for my horrible English.
