I got the phone... everything was smooth. I unlocked bootloader... everything was smooth. I rooted...had the 15% bug so I decided to unroot until stable root and TWRP is released. Now I have random force closing of apps and phone will freeze/hang up for a short period of time (5 seconds or so) during random activities. Any ideas without having to wipe whole phone again?

So I don't have a computer at this moment and probably won't until Tuesday. So I decided to factory reset. I'm still getting random freezing (although no force closes yet) after wiping. Will I need to still flash factory image if I already wiped?

I have the same issue. Can I flash factory image without deleting data?

You get the issue sorted out? The flash I did worked temporarily too. Amazon and YouTube seem to always have issues unless I restart. I'm hoping TWRP comes soon and I can root again. Hopefully that fixes it. If not I'm going to do an adb backup and fresh install with data wipe

Hi Guys, i didn't root or touch anything. Except did a sideload to do a marin update from google
But It's happening with multiple random apps on my device as well...so far , WhatsApp, Outlook, Parallel Space and had to do a hard reset by pushing down the power button for a few seconds. And once while watching youtube video, the screen freeze with the audio playing on for couple of mins. Anyone found the solution yet ?
Just to push this thread. I keep having the same issues of apps crashing and random freezes that require a force re-boot. I am on stock and I didn't unlock the bootloader. The phone sometimes freezes when on stand-by and the screen is off and I have to keep pressing on the power button for a long time until the phone restarts. Sometimes it happens randomly whenever I am using an application or browsing the net. It happens every now and then, but definitely more than 10 times a week.
freezes
I started getting freezes this week.....happened twice tonight so far. Stock image, 7.1.1 system update did not fix this. It was happening when editing and saving photos. Tonight it happened just scrolling through Google+. Really frustrating!
If it helps any, I'm the OP, and once I did a complete (minus relocking bootloader) stock restore I haven't had a single issue. Something with root was messing with it. Flash the full stock image in adb and all will be ok.

i followed googles steps:
https://developers.google.com/android/images
flash the full factory X image and not the OTA image
sadly, that flash-all.bat doesn't work for me
I have the same problem. I am facing even Google Play Service keeps closing.
I did a factory reset. didnt work
did flash factory img, worked fine for 2 days. then issue started again.

i'm going to start by addressing my phone. i have a HTC m8 it is rooted and i have updated it to 5.0.1. but during that process i ran across some issues that might have caused issues in other areas. when t- mobile release the lollipop update i goggle how to get it on a rooted phone and basically what i got from it was i had to replace custom recovery with stock recovery to get the update and if i wanted to go back i had to do the opposite. when i watch the video i didn't realize the video was old and had not been updated until i got to the part of the screen(on my device) where it was a red triangle. so make a long story short i found the correct stock recovery and installed it but when i did. It said i lost su and i need to re install and that became a problem as while because i could not found nothing that was helpful. so i just tried uninstalling xposed framework mode and when i restarted my phone. It was stuck in a boot-loop. so it took me a minute to get out of that and all it took was me installing su again. so now that's out of the way when my phone came back on i realize a lot of my app force closing and maybe i thought it was minor bugs form the new update but after awhile nothing change. so at this point i'm done with this i'm ready to go back to stock and i cant because my internal storage is missing and i know all of my flies is there because when i boot into recovery i see them but when i connect my phone to my PC it shows a limit of files and on my phone in certain apps it shows files and in others apps it doesn't. i just need to know how to fix it so i can unroot.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Good luck

Hello together,
I got a strange problem with my new HTC M9.
Everything was fine for the first 2 weeks, but then it startet to lag extremly.
There are mini freezes every few seconds. Sometimes i have to wait 2 seconds for the system to continue... It appears after a fresh restart and with all apps close.
I wanna ask here, before doing a reset and loosing all my settings.
Btw it is a stock unrooted phone (1.32.161.15).
I could not find a topic for this. Noone else experience lags like this?
Thank you!
Regards
Sebastian
yes it will remove everything on the internal storage but im not sure about the sd card. just do a back up while its still working.
I have the exact same problem !! have you found a solution to this or resetting the device is my only way out?
If u have resetted, has this occurred again?

If you are rooted with TWRP try wiping cache and dalvik cache through advance wipe if it doesnt work flash a new rom
Every once in a while when I turn my phone on it wont start. It will bootloop then after a couple times it boots up fine. I get the send bug report to HTC thing and I do it. I have no games installed, minimal apps installed (5), have played with the theme, on latest firmware. Anybody else having this happen? TBH it seems very random.
Things I have tried:
Clear cache
Format all storage
Factory Reset both ways
After Reset not touching for a while so it can settle
Switching SD cards
Edit: Found a solution but at this point will flash custom rom. Had no more issues after that. Tired of ads in everything so flashing custom and getting adblocking lol
Unlock
Flash TWRP
Format everything except ext sd
Reboot into bootloader
Ran latest RUUexe 1.80.617.1
Hi Orvon,
Would exchange the device for a new one tbh.

I would format data and reset in twrp and start from scratch, if it still happens after a format and reset I would return the phone if possible
delete
I had this issue on fully stock u.s. Verizon version. Formatting the SD card solved it for me.

Same isseu here (by bootloop I mean in this case splashscreen comes up twice. Then at the 3th time it boots into the bootup.zip animation and all is fine). Difference is ROM: Leedroid r110.
Notice: when phone is connected to laptop by original USB cabel=> phone boots normal.
Just reporting.
Kind regards
So.... About a month ago I got the first text message informing me of this battery downgrade... so I started investigating and came across a FB group who were using a version of Ez-Disabler to block updates. I successfully installed and blocked everything and then some... Fast forward to Thursday evening. While at work I needed to find something that was in my secured folder but my secured folder was disabled in the previous blocking session. So I decided to go into Ez-Disabler and enable the knox packages. I noticed there were some things enabled that I did not enable so upon trying to correct the issues I noticed they wouldn't disable. I wasn't sure what to do because my license wasn't being verified. So I removed Ez-Disabler and installed Package Disabler Pro. I was able to disable the things I needed but I think I might have accidentally disabled something I needed to have enabled to start up my phone because now it is stuck at the AT&T logo during start up and wont go past that when I try to turn it on. Then on top of it all... I can't turn it off after wards. I have to wait until the battery dies to try to put it in the hard reset menu.... I really don't want to lose whats on my phone. there are some things I need to save if possible..... Is there anything I can do?
Hi, did you try wiping cache through stock recovery? Vol up, home button, power button combination?

I was installing a case and accidentally clicked the notification to get the new 7.1.1 update. I restarted the phone, but it kept downloading. After downloading it started installing, it went to step 1 of 2 so i immediately turned the phone off again. How do I cancel the update?

Cuz the new update broke the easy WiFi tether method. Now you'll have to pop SIM card in and out every time.

I am lost. I downloaded the NDE63P.zip to my device, went into TWRP , wiped everything except internal data, tried to install the ND63P.zip, but it keeps failing
OK I think I got it. I put the Pixel XL in bootloader, then I extracted the NDE63P folder to my desktop. Inside the folder I ran flash-all.bat. It went through a bunch of caommands, some saying failed. But at the end it said completed and when I restart my phone it's back to like brand new, asking me in the notification area if I want to learn more about 7.1.1
