If you long press on the dock icons it allows you to change the icon(stock launcher) with a poor assortment of choices. My questions is how can we add more and better ones.

Try some of the free icon packs in the Play Store, the reason I say free is I'm not sure they will work with the stock launcher. I'm using an alternative launcher and have change all of my icons.

In using a alternative launcher are you able to use the Knock On to turn the device on?

I got some PNG files with a transparent background and replaced the phone icon. Works just fine. I've got my eye out for some nice ones for all other icons. I wish there was a faster way to change them but I'm happy with being able to do it in the first place.

I have Nova launcher and the Knock On works, the Knock Off only works if you tap the notification bar - I think it's the same for 3rd party launchers, but I dunno for sure...

Sorry for the late reply as I been on vacation. Yes I can use the knock feature with an alternative launcher.
Hi guys,
I've brought a couple of days ago this fantastic HTC device! However, after 2 complete recharges, I've noticed that Blinkfeed launcher drains battery more then usuals launchers.
Considering that I don't use Blinkfeed homepage, i've decided to switch to a more customizable and light Nova Launcher... but to my disappointment I've noticed the lack of a great number of HTC widgets, like the weather widget, music app widget and all the quick settings shortcuts. Is it normal?? Is there a way to use them with Nova Launcher too??
Please help
No, you can only use the HTC widgets with the stock launcher.
You can browse the play store for copycat widgets, but that's about it.

You can get rid of blinkfeed page you know...
Pinch at the home screen to get to the panels option then drag the blinkfeed panel up and delete it.
Best of both worlds...

Oh thx for the answers guys.
However Nova launcher is also lighter, and much more customizable, so I will try to check in the play store to see what can I do.
Thank you again guys
Hi K10 Community ?
I want to talk about "the best" launcher for our device
So if you have some idea post your HomeScreen
And let's talk about it
Google Pixel Launcher…
This is my HomeScreen
Nova Launcher
MinoS ROM 6.0.1 V1. NOVA LAUNCHER
This is my homescreen
And my app drawer
Yes, all used Launchers…
Seems like almost People are using Some Launchers, that I not used…
But after Pixel Launcher, I like Very Very Much Next Launcher, or Next Launcher 3D…

What is name of launcher, and name of widget app, is it stock one?
My homescreen. Pretty basic for now. As you can probably tell, I really like the pixel's frosted look.
Search bar is a custom KWGT widget. Pretty basic. I'd like to expand on it to have a drop down window with music controls and calendar, but I've been busy.
Phone and Messaging icons are from Whicons icon pack
Other icons are Retrorika icon pack
Launcher is Nova Launcher Prime
Rounded corners using Cornerfly....
Wallpaper changes with every unlock using Wallpaper Changer
What else...
Pie controls are from LMT Launcher, themed to match pixel style dock as best I could. Didn't spend too much time doing so, so it still looks clunky.
Hidden navbar by using adb shell to run
Code:
settings put global policy_control immersive.navigation=*
Modified LGSystemUI.apk to hide clock in status bar.
Other status bar icons hidden using adb shell
Code:
settings put secure icon_blacklist bluetooth,alarm_clock,rotate,nfc
Umm... I think that's it. A ton of gestures with both Nova Launcher and LMT Launcher to open everything I use daily, as well as run tasker tasks, pull down notification screen, and lock screen.
Cool screeshots!! Here are mines.
Pic 1 -> Main Screen
Pic 2 -> Secondary Screen (possible widgets)
Pic 3 -> App Drawer
Pic 4 -> LockScreen
As I recently re-installed the system, specifically Android 6, I'm already testing it so I didn't focused on fully customize it for me yet. I just have all I need day by day on there.
JoeMoDo, I recommend to you to use the build.prop line (qemu.hw.mainkeys=1/0) to hide the navbar. Why? Using it insted of the shell command you use, you won't see remainder navbar on some apps, like stock camera, as other custom cams (Snap Camera), some games, etc.

I'm aware of the build.prop line, but prefer the immersive option. The only time I see the nav keys is when using the keyboard, and... I don't think any other time. Does not appear in camera. I prefer this option so the navbar can be swiped into view, and as a fallback in case the LMT service is killed (which hasn't happened, but I've experienced that on past devices).
I just reffered to that, sorry the misunderstanding.
You will solve the keyboard desappearing issue by doing that. And also I attached you 2 screenshots about what I was talking about before.

Pic 2 -> command enabled (shell)

I use nova with two icon packs GUX Icons and galaxy S8 icon pack
The widget is from XWidget
Is not with stock camera, stock camera hides buttons by itself. I forgot to mention that.

Hey guys,
Does anyone know how to get the new Pixel XL 2 at a glance widget on Nova Launcher? I have no idea if it's supported or I have to wait for an update or something, just haven't seen anything on it. I tried installing Nova Launcher and it's not there.

I could've sworn I saw a setting for this in the Display settings but I'd have to go back and look. Have you tried enabling this while using Nova as the primary launcher? It may not be possible and requires you using the Pixel Launder and Nova will need to add that feature.

I could've sworn there was a toggle in the Display settings. I'd have to go back and look. Have you tried enabling that while using Nova Launcher. It might be that you need to use the Pixel Launcher in order for this feature to work and Nova would just need to add this.

Of course I do just not with Nova launcher enabled
Zooper widgets + Trident 3 pack can give you that.

Hi, I just made the At A Glance widget for KWGT app. It's free and should work on any device/launcher. It isn't really tested it on any other device than mine, so I'd be glad if anyone tried it out. See the thread I just started: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/themes/kwgt-glance-kwgt-t3694513
I believe this should give you what you are looking for. Updated regularly.
The existing version of Google app has a beta widget for "At a glance".
Nice. Don't think I've seen or heard about this.

@EeZeEpEe: It was rather low key news, but it was mentioned on the XDA portal, along with a download link to the beta Google app that housed it. It graduated and now is in the release version. It makes me happy too: not only is it one less app I have to install (Another Widget), but Another Widget has issues displaying weather correctly.
Yeah another widget did okay but I noticed the weather was off too. Would say one temperature and tapping it I would get a different one.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread but did anyone find out how to change the options for the at a glance widget?
The widget is available in 3rd party launchers but I can't for the life of me find any way to adjust what it shows.
Any help greatfully appreciated

There are no options for the widget.
I was bored in class so I've made on inkscape some wallpapers for my OnePlus 5.
I recommend you to use it on latest OnePlus Launcher and/or OxygenOS, I based the design on it. (PS: stock 411dp used)
Let me know if I can improve it with any request.
To-do list:
Lockscreen version
Pixel Launcher version
OnePlus 5T version
Important:
There are many version depending on your battery icon(stock, circle, with %...), "Dash charging" icon and "100%" don't fits well, but it's inevitable, I think it doesn't matter at all because 100% icon only last about some minutes and Dash charging icon only shows when fast charging so it's last also little time.
Downloads:
OnePlus Launcher:
Sorry not available right now, I have to redesign them.
Widget used: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tommasoberlose.anotherwidget
OxygenOS lockscreen:
https://mega.nz/#F!nJ8kDBZZ!wEuPu6R2UlzGvoBIe6VnKg
My home screen setup is a tad different. I love the design of it though.
So, do you mind being awesome?
Attached in my current setup.

I'll support only stock launchers (eg: Pixel launcher, Google now launcher, OnePlus launcher...) since custom launchers are very customizables and I would have to do a wallpaper for every person. Sorry
Updated with lockscreen wallpapers!
I tried only with OxygenOS, I don't know if it's fits also on AOSP lockscreen but it should since they're very similar

sure I'll give it a try. who knows I might love it i customise the launcher(nova mostly) to something that's very according to my needs and hence, a bit off with the default setup. but I have google launcher installed too, and I'll keep any eye on this thread for update
Updated OP with important notes.
I've redesigned the lockscreen wallpapers with bigger font and support for all battery icon configurations. I'll do the same for OnePlus Launcher version
