i dont know what phone you own.. but i know for experience that when us tmobil users flashed from 20i MM stock KDZ to 20o MM .zip in twrp. we had samethin..
we fix it flashing KDZ. are you flashing same KDZ version you had before if OTA.?.
did you update thru OTA. or .zip file.. if so you need to flash KDZ. and check the refurbished option. this will wipe clean you phone..
so for us having KDZ 20i and update OTA update or .zip file no sound and camera bugs... then flashing the official 20o KDZ fix it. using refurbished.

Did you use the refurbished option when flashing your KDZ 20p ?
Also did you do a KDZ 20o after your update.zip or just straight KDZ 20p?
Trying to fix the same damn problem.

i have this problem but it was twrp side. i would
KDZ and sensors not work camera not work and had errors popping out.. i was using the h815-h811 twrp from steady.. then used the one in twrps website h811 only reformated all then flash and no more errors.
Just wanted to confirm that I also did KDZ 20o using refurbish option and this problem went away. Still scary that merely installing Lineage 14.1 migration package on top of CM13 can break the camera+sound+calls that badly. Thanks @raptorddd and @NhanTruong0911 for posting your experiences and helping me recover this device.

hey guys
ok so i rooted my lg g3 d855 and i have verified it is rooted with several apps. i tried to install twrp as my recovery and i have tried two methods
1. via ADB shell
2. an app called flashify
both say it has been installed and they reboot my phone and instead of gettin twrp recovery i get a black screen and a green and red flashing LED, i have left it for 10 mins thinking it was installing but nothing. i have to remove the battery to restart and it works fine (minus the twrp)
also i have checked i am using the correct recovery img as my model number is the d855 and the twrp is d855
please help!
also google has not helped
also please dont use big words as they will pass straight over my head
thanks in advance
you sir are lazy

D852 Fido
Hello there
I am new to this forum and to rooting devices and I apologize in advance if I can't even express myself properly.
So, I have D852 from Fido (Quebec) that I really like and want to keep.
Until recently, it had stock MM and everything was fine.
I downgraded to LP 5.0.1 Telus and managed to get it rooted (phone works fine but no data since downgrade).
I then tried to install TWRP and for whatever reason, it doesn't work.
I used ADB, AutoRec, Flashify, TWRP Official App, nothing works.
They all show that the installation is successful but when I try to boot to recovery (Quickboot, ADB, Power&Vol-), all I get is red/blue led flashes then I press Volume Down and the phone boots normally.
I really want to get TWRP on it so I can flash the latest Oreo on it.
Thank you in advance
Would updating to Marshmallow and using MM Autorec help with installing TWRP on the D855? http://turbobit.net/fg6nmu0ujhpo.html

Probably should have started a new thread, this is for D855. For your D852, try Marshmallow Autorec, worked for me: https://mega.nz/#F!rtI1naZT!LJIKUVpv8fYjrvhpykA4_A!2o433RBZ

Hello, I have problems with my phone. I need help almost desperately.
I can't do anything with my phone now. As you probably read, until about two weeks ago I had Fido stock MM on D852.
I managed to downgrade to Telus LP 5.0.1. After the successful downgrade, I was able to root my phone but not to install TWRP.
Now I can't install any KDZ, not even going back to Rogers/Fido MM.
How can I PM you for faster and better communication?
Thank you in advance,

Hello Whatsgoingon,
I can't try MM because the phone doesn't let me flash original Rogers/Fido (D852) KDZ.
I am currently rooted on LP 5.0.1 and I do get OTA upgrade message to MM. Should I upgrade then try your method?
Is there any risk that I will not be able to do it and get stuck with MM without the ability to downgrade to LP or KK again?
I only want root and TWRP to be able to flash custom ROMs.
Thank you,
I can't make any guarantees, but for me it worked.
I had no other option as I was stuck on MM with no kdz/tot for Lollipop or Kit Kat for my D852, so I have no experience downgrading. It worked great for me on MM and I tried everything else to get TWRP on my phone.
This file does not seem to be restricted to a specific carrier and is supposed to work on all D852s, but you can check this thread to see if anyone tried it on a Fido: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/apk-flash-twrp-autorec-thanks-to-t3081396

I am using lg Up to upgrade, so I have no idea what am I doing

Thank you for link buddy. Was having a hard time finding firmware for this model.
Flashable Zip?
I had an update go awry, and now I can't get it to boot into anything but fastboot or twrp!
Can someone possibly make this into a flashable zip so I can install it via twrp? I'm at a loss. I can't get any of the support tools to recognize it. I can't get into download mode either. It just goes straight to twrp.
I was able to try a factory reset, but as soon as I chose 'yes' and hit the power button the second time I got the device software check error (due to unlocked bootloader) and then it goes right into twrp.
Is there anything I can do?
EDIT: I was able to get into download mode and use the LG FlashTool to get back and running **WHEW**

Another question, have somebody found the 10b kdz?

But the good thing about t-mobile is that rollback protection is not enabled. As a result, you can use the 10C root method, which is basically by flashing a prerooted 10c image to the tablet, to root tablet with 10e. So you can't have rooted 10e but you can root the 10e with prerooted 10c.

How did you get into download mode? Your problem sound similar to mine. I'm in a bootloop with TWRP installed. I tried wiping all the caches and installing iPioneer via TWRP but nothing seems to work. I even can't turn the device off so I have to un plug the battery. What is the difference between the '10c' and 10e' kdz files? I am missing something. I'm looking to flash my tablet back to stock after mistakenly accepting a OTA update (after rooting and TWRP) that sent me into a bootloop.
Thanks in advance. This forum is a life saver.
I currently have V20a-OPT2-HQ (Marshmallow 6.0) after reverting to stock ROM from this thread.
Is it really the latest version? I though I had V20f or something before. H815 Norwegian.
considering that thread is almost a year old its obvious that that kdz is not the latest anymore, I have V20G on my EUR device.

My G4 has just gone on me again, just sitting at the boot logo and a flashing blue led. This is the 2nd time in a week and the last time it was due to a corrupt build.prop, which I was able to replace from backup. This time it has just happened randomly and the original build.prop doesn't help.
So if someone can help me out urgently with a stock marshmallow rom for twrp it would be a big help.
Cheers.

Yes, it boots to twrp. Thats the reason I need the 20e zip file and not kdz. I was able to flash a 20d zip last night which then allowed me to flash the 20e kdz. But when I flashed twrp again just now, the same thing has happened again. I'm thinking now that this started happening when I updated twrp to the latest version via the twrp app, and it was only when I had another app crash and reboot my phone two nights ago that it happened for the first time. I'm going to downgrade twrp to an earlier version and see if that makes a difference.

??? you needed the zip to flash KDZ.??? that makes no sense.. then no hardware issue just a soft brick, a software issue. all you had to do was KDZ to latest version. using the refurbished option on LGUP.
then inject twrp and install twrp permanently and then root .
wich twrp are you using.? have you tried this.

I was unable to boot my phone so I needed to reflash it. As I only had access to twrp, I had to flash a zip file. I couldn't find a 20e zip so I flashed the next best thing, which was a 20d file. This isn't the correct version for my phone and let me know that each time I booted it. So once I had the phone booted up, I used LGUP to flash the 20e kdz file. My reasoning for this is that I can only flash a kdz file using LGUP, and as I can't boot my phone, I can't use LGUP. So are you telling me I can flash a kdz file from twrp?
Anyway, it appears the latest twrp (twrp-3.0.2-1-h815) was causing the problem. I reverted back to the previous version and I have had no issues so far. I've taken a full nandroid backup to be on the safe side.
Thanks for the advice.

I couldn't get the phone into download mode. If I had been able to do so it would've made life a lot easier for me. Flashing the zip file and then the kdz was a long winded way to do it but I finally got the desired effect. And I was able to tell that the latest twrp looks to be problematic for the H815 (I've prepared myself for any resulting backlash).
