Android Wear Cloud Sync - Huawei Watch

Just wondering what data is synced to the cloud? I understand it syncs WiFi passwords and Hangouts which makes sense.
But what about:
SMS
Phone Calls
Facebook
Email (not gmail)
Other apps
I don't want all my notifications syncing to the GOOGLE cloud and its not clear how this works exactly and im not ready to "test" it.

You will receive every notification you would normally get, so all of the ones which you mentioned.
I'm also not sure how it works but I don't think the notifications are stored for a longer time in the Google cloud. I think the feature is quite useful as it happens that I leave the Bluetooth range at home and the watch connects by WiFi then.

how to get google contacts/calender on tp2 6.5

hello,
i flashed to 6.5 official and i was wondering if there is any easy way to sync all of my data calender and contacts to my phone now, im really used to the google system. and yes im coming from a g1
Google sync
unfortunately google sync for Windows mobile is a big pile of pooo.
It would sync once, after that you will most likely encounter a problem on scheduled syncs.
At least in my case, i would sync it once installed a new ROM, then delete the exchange settings from the Active sync. This will stop you from going crazy after several failed attempts to synchronize after
Can't you just set up the mobile exchange feature of Google? Not to use a bad word, but my Wiff's iphone is set up that way and all contacts/calendar/email are in perfect sync with her google account? I just selected the "Exchange" configuration.
I have to admit that I have yet to try it with my TP2... I would think if anything it would work just as well
I'm syncing my contact, calendar and mails via active sync protocoll too and it works fine (using google as like as an exchange server, not the separate google sync program).
but it seems you have to exclude items from syncing which you have not activated yet: i don't use "Tasks" in my google account, and until i deactivated it in the exchange/AS settings, i got sync errors. but after deactivating "Tasks"-syncing i never got errors again...
It should be the the same procedure if other components are unused, because if you create a googlemail-mailbox, you'll get contacts too, but no tasks nor calendar. those have be created/activated manually in your google account.
thankS! that removing tasks made it work. although i cant seem to see my contacts. do u think i have it set up where it wont import the google contacts for any reason?
THis may be obvious, but under activesync, make sure that you have Contacts checked off..I don't know if they are all enabled by default
yes that one is selected. i have a lot of contacts that i dont want to manually set up again please let me know if anyone has had this problem and resolved it or thinks they can help me.
but so far i really like this phone!
UPDATE: restarted phone and works even better now! ALL my contacts and now I have 3G instead of H

Over the Air Syncing of Calendar

Hi,
I wanted to know if many WinMo users are syncing their calendars with Google.
I know there are a bevy of apps that support various levels of google calendar syncing, so i am keen to hear from users with their experience with software such as GCal, Nuevasync, OggSync, GMobileSync, Goosync, GCalendarSync.
Im particularly interested in being able to view my wifes calendar and vice-versa, which is where Google Calendar fits in as the conduit.
Anyway, im keen to hear your experiences and recommendations with this type of software.
Thanks in advance.
contact + calendar syncs quite good with google sync. e-mail not so well..
there are some known issues, you can check them somewhere on the google sync webpages
thansk for that feedback,
Anyone else tried any?
Yes, I use Google Sync via the Activesync on the Winmo device. However, there is no way to view any other calendar except your main one. Also, tasks do not sync yet because Google has not implemented the feature.
Lately, the push emails I receive are a lot more stable than before but still not worthy enough to consider being better than IMAP. Contact syncing is almost flawless. Calendar syncing can run into some issues occasionally. There was an update in the morning today so hopefully the calendars will work even better than before.
If you want to view more than one Google Calendar you will need to look into a third-party software to handle it.

[Q] In-car bluetooth system - slow phonebook transfer

When i first start my car (kia soul) it proceeds to download the phone book from my phone. On my previous phone (touch pro 2) it went much quicker then it goes with the Evo. I assume this is because i have more contacts.
Is there some way i can designate that only certain contacts get transfered? There's really only a handful that i ever call from my car, the rest of them i don't need added to the car's phone book. Could i do something like create a bluetooth group and only contacts in that group get transfered to the car's memory?
No solution to this? It takes several minutes before i can use the incar bluetooth system due to how long it takes for it to copy the phone book.
Well I unchecked exchange in my contacts then it doesn't sync them. After the first sync you can go back and check exchange and it will sync them in the background next time you get in the car.

If you mean under the account & sync settings, i do not have my exchange contacts set to sync. The only thing set to sync under there is email.
Is it possibly downloading EVERY contact that i have in gmail? Under the 'my contacts' section i have 40 contacts. but under all contacts i have well over a thousand.
On my touch pro 2, i think i probably had about 25 contacts in the phone.
Ya see my situation is a little different I have an exchange email for work then gmail for personal. I just go into the people app and unchecked exchange then it will sync faster. Sorry that none of that will apply for you but maybe help someone else. I will say this that it does seem slower syncing than the TP2. That doesn't help either ....

Hmm, so you think the phone itself is for some reason slow syncing then the tp2 and it's not just an issue of possibly having more contacts? If i have time, i'll try deleting my account from the phone and manually adding a few contacts and see how long it takes for it to sync just that handful.
I'm not sure what you mean by going into the people app and unchecking exchange? when i click on people, i don't have an option anywhere to uncheck exchange. Maybe that's because i don't have the exchange contacts set to sync under the account settings.

[Q] All FB contacts shows in bluetooth device

Using Samsung Focus, really like WP7 and this phone. Have facebook selected to only display information in contacts on people I already have in contacts. Works fine on phone.
Have a Garmin Zumo 550 GPS on my motorcycle, phone is bluetooth connected to GPS which is connected into intercom system on bike. GPS contacts shows all facebook people, not just the people in phone contact list.
I deleted FB from phone, turned on GPS and then only the contacts in my phone showed on GPS. Was really happy all those extra FB people were not in GPS contact list anymore.
Recreated FB account on phone with display only info on people already in contacts option selected, turned on GPS again, and all FB people showed up in GPS contacts. NOT HAPPY.
This is a WP7 problem. How can WP7 be stopped from sending FB people to GPS or other Bluetooth devices? (without the obvious, remove FB account from phone)
Anybody know to stop WP7 from sending all Facebook friends to contact list on a Bluetooth connected GPS?
Phone is set to only display Facebook friends info only on contacts already in phone, and it works on phone contact list but is sending all of my Facebook friends to list on Bluetooth device. Why?
it doesn't appear to be possible to stop it at present. Perhaps post this as an issue in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836373, and maybe bring it up on the social.microsoft.com?
sorry we couldn't be of more help.
Thank you for replying. I'll copy and paste my problem onto the sites you recommended from desktop tonight.

Control over push notifications

Hi,
I just got a tablet next to my Gnex, and i am trying to find the best way to avoid double notifications when at home, on both the phone and the tablet.
I have realised (and pls tell me if it's not true) that even if I disable sync, this applies only to google services (calendar, gmail, ecc.) and not to whatsapp and facebook.
I could disable the whole data connection (and wifi) but then I won't be able to receive whatsapp messages (I found out I can't have the same number configured on both tablet and phone, so I kept whatsapp on phone only).
So in practice, when at home, I would like to have the tablet fully in sync with google services and receiving facebook and twitter push notifications, and the phone receiving only whatsapp messages: the only way i found so far is to disable google sync and then go into twitter and facebook settings and disble push from there.
Do you know of any other way?
Well, I don't have a tablet so I'm kinda useless on real solutions, but you could use Tasker to automate the process you're doing now by making a profile that activates when your phone is connected to your home Wi-Fi.

Click to collapse
yeah, the tablet part is not actually important and only half of the story.
What i really need is a program that allows me to record a sort of macros, so that with the press of a button I can: [1] disable google sync [2] open facebook and disable push notifications [3] same for twitter
The real problem here is to find a tasker-like app that allows me to automate apps
