Even with using Light Flow, it looks like the notification LED light doesn't work while you're in a call. So if I'm on speaker phone and get a notification, the light does not display. First world problem I know, but this would be nice if it would work. Can anyone else confirm the same and that it's not just me?
Notification sounds get played through the bottom speaker when on a call rather than only coming through the phone ear piece, resulting in the recipient caller hearing the sound. Thoughts?
I didn't realize there was a led... I just downloaded light flow, and when I test a color, the screen just wakes up in ambient mode, but no led

Hi all, I've just missed called my gn phone to check how the led notifications are working, I see no led notification at all, no led lights anywhere on the phone to let me know I have a missed call? Is there something I need to set up, thanks

Check your notification settings
There is also an option "pulse notification light" in Display settings.
i have the same problem.
i have ticked the option "pulse notification light" in Display settings but th eLED doesnt flash after receiving a miscall. i waited a few mins and still nothing.
i know the LED works because it flashes while the caller is calling, but just switches off after the caller hangs up.
is there another notification setting for this other than the one in Display Settings?
The notification LED has been implemented pretty badly natively. In addition to not appearing very consistently it also only flashes white. Look for the app Light Flow on the market and use that instead.

Thanks Chrono.
I just saw the Light Flow app recommended on the other LED notifications thread and tried it, and it works well!
But yes i agree its seems a pretty sloppy implementation by default, i hope it gets fixed in a software update, although i probably wont be moving away from light flow with all the extra control you get with it
Ive just noticed my notification LED isnt working, how do i make it work, i have got someone to text me with the screen off, still no led on silent, no led, on vibrate no led. what could be the issue
i had the same problem.
i knew the LED works because it lights up when i get an incoming call. but thats the only time it ever lights up. as soon as the call is missed it goes out, no pulsing light.
i downloaded an app called Light Flow (the free version) and works, as well as giving you much much control on the colour of the light and the different notifications it can be used on
Still cant get missed call led to flash even with light flow
any tips on setup ?
Pulse Notification Option in Settings, Display?? (Android settings that is ;-) )

yer its ticked, before and after installing light flow and still nothing
Is more settings for light flow im after, if people say it works for missed call ?
I thought I saw my wife's phone has the tiny Green LED on top that flashes on missed call. I don't have it on mine. How do I test or get this LED to flash? Does it even exist or it's replaced by the bottom RGB LED? Either or, can someone please educate me on this? I must have turned off the feature somewhere perhaps?
Thanks in advance
You may have turned off the pulse notification light. But if you haven't you should probably know that the light is kinda iffy sometimes lol. Download light flow and you can set the color of the led and for it to blink at a certain speed or even be a solid light

the two next to the camera up top? Just bought this phone used, are they supposed to light up when you get notifications like my LG revolution did or is it just the pulsing light at the bottom as the alert?
thanks.

The top two things you see are light sensors. When you cover they turn off the screen to prevent you cheeks from hitting buttons while in a call.
Just the pulse light lights up

The led is on the bottom. You can use an app like Lightflow to color code your notifications.
Does the Notification LED light up when the phone is charging? Mine appears totally dead - no charging indicator, no notifications, no nuthin.
But then late last night I started getting notifications but still no charging indication.
Luckily I just got the shipping e-mail regarding my replacement phone.
My notification LED lights up when I get a notification, but not when the phone is charging.

Works for me
It works for me with Lightflow for all notifications, charging lights, etc.. You can set blinking rates and brightness levels.

LightFlow works for me too but it screws with the Ambient Display feature. I'd like to use both but with LightFlow it causes the Ambient Display to active for what seems like no reason at all.

Light flow works for me too but I notice when quiet hours are on in light flow, the LED still lights up. Seems that quiet hours in the light flow app turn off light flow but just cause Android system to control the LED again....
