Adding 3G and 1x cellular capability to LG G Pad 8.3 - G Pad 8.3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a LG G Pad 8.3 with Verizon LTE capability, however, the cellular data won't work if it is outside a Verizon LTE area. Is there a mod that will allow it to connect to 3G or 1x when outside of Verizon LTE?

The G Pad 8.3 LTE doesn't have a radio that handles anything less than LTE. No amount of modding can help with that unfortunately.

Check in network options if LTE is selected and make sure your carrier's LTE band matches the hardware LTE band.

It shows 4G instead of H when you are on LTE. Make sure your area are covered in LTE by checking your carriers map. I live just on the brink according to map, but I dont get 4G here, have to go like 500m towards town.
So now you have to make sure the bands match. Do you know what band your carrier uses for LTE? It has to match the band your phone is capable of.
Plus you could be outside coverage area as well.

[Q] G Pro (F240S Korean Version) only gets 3G at AT&T

Hello,
I have 2 questions,
1. I currently have AT&T Gophone LTE plan. I know G Pro supports LTE and I used LTE network with this phone in South Korea. But with AT&T, it only gets 3G. I know F240S supports LTE band 5 (850Mhz) and AT&T also supports band 5. I even accessed the service menu and changed some settings but nothing changes.
2. I have a Sprint account with Unlimited LTE data plan. I heard G pro has multiple versions but the hardware of them is basically same, which means it supports both GSM and CDMA? So maybe I can use my G pro at Sprint? I went to the Sprint store and the Sprint guy told me the device supports CDMA but its ESN number is not registered on Sprint system so it cannot be used with Sprint. Is there any way to use sprint plan?
Thanks

Does LG G Pad VK810 - Verizon have GSM/UMTS bands to work with 3g networks ?

Hi
I am planning to buy LG G pad 8.3 verizon version to use in outside USA. So Does LG G Pad VK810 - Verizon have GSM/UMTS bands to work with 3g networks ?
Thanks
not that we know of right now.. only LTE support for bands 4/13, device is unlocked and accepts any SIM/network that uses those bands

Not getting band 12 coverage (AT&T) on LG G4 H811 (T-Mobile variant)

I'm running CrDroid 3.8.2 on my LG G4 with firmware version H811 20v, however In areas I got LTE coverage before with the G3, there is no support now. Sometimes it also gets stuck on H+ 3G even when an LTE tower is in range. AT&T has claimed they fully support band 12/17 interoperabilty, but it seems to be the only band I'm not getting.
