This is either a question or a feature request
When I have something on the watch and choose the "Open On Phone" function, my phone lights up, but doesn't unlock. Is this intended? I don't even use a lock code on my phone. I definitely want this to happen, just not sure if it's a setting I'm missing or it's a feature missing from Android Wear. Anyone know?
I've noticed this as well. I only have a lockscreen (so no code or pattern) on my HTC One M7. When I select the Open on phone option, the phone does light up, but the lockscreen is still there. However, after I unlock, it automatically shows whatever info I requested on the watch.
Right, seems to sorta make it pointless in my opinion. My phone sits on my desk in perfect view, I'd like the "Open on Phone" to just do that and unlock the phone.
Seems like this would be a "no brainer". I spent an hour trying to figure out what I was doing wrong before I realized I wasn't.
if your phone is rooted and have xposed framework.. install NO LOCK HOME... you can set it so when paired with moto 360, the lock screen is disabled... so when you click on open on phone it will open automatically.. also works with s5 fingerprint scanner
with this app, you can disable the lock screen when connected to a certain wifi spot, bluetooth pairing, etc
If you have Lollipop on your phone, and have your Moto 360 as a trusted device, it should unlock and open on your phone without any need for you to unlock manually.
If you're still on Kitkat (like me), it just turns the display on, then once you unlock, it opens to whatever you opened on your watch.

I appreciate this but phone isn't rooted, and I don't think I'd want the lock screen disabled when the 360 paired, that is pretty much 24-7.
HuStLaZ: Thanks, hopefully my Droid Turbo will get Lollipop soon.

this. you need trusted devices for this feature to work properly.
Ok google not working in when device is lock. Its working only once after set that . After sometimes not woking in oly lock screen mode .
OK google only works with screen on. Moto Voice works when the screen is off. Also I think you have to enable trusted voice for OK google to work with device locked and screen on.
Lenovo fired the team responsible for Moto Voice and Moto Play. The Moto voice that is on the newer devices i just an overlay to Ok Google, this is the reason why Moto Voice does not work with the screen locked and some of the phrases that work on the older devices do not work on the newer devices (Moto Z etc)
Hi, I would like to know if there's a way to enable the always on detection for the "Ok Google" hotword, even with the screen off.
Currently it is only possible to enable while the phone is plugged in. However, the SD 820 has a "Hexagon 680 DSP" which can process this hotword without consuming too much power. Other phones with the SD 820 have this feature enabled like the LG G5 or the LG V20. Even older SD processors offered this feature, like the Moto X 2014 and every Nexus.
My guess is that this is a configuration problem and that it may not be too complicated to enable?
Hi guys,
Maybe one of you in here has an answer to this question...
I have the Moto g 5G Plus since 2 weeks now and I find it is a really nice device. Especially since I got it brand new from the manufacturer's site with a promotional offer : 320€ for the g 5g plus and the moto G8 offered for free.
The only thing I am missing on this phone is a LED that would tell me when the phone is charging or when I get a message or a missed call.
Anyways, the question is not about this : my question is about the button on the left. If you press it, you'll call Goolge Assistant. Well, this is cool, but... I don't use Google Assistant that much :-(
So I would like to know if there is a way to set this button as a shortcut to another app or feature (even like "Home" button...).
I've looked a little and it seems difficult, but if any of you would have an idea, I'd be a grateful taker
Regards.
Sadly as far as I know there is no way to customize that button as of now. Maybe a future (Android 11?) update may include that option.

Hi, 2 days ago I got my Realme X, realme ui 2.0 , it's great, but there are a few things that are bugging me. One of these is the Google Assistant. I downloaded the Google App and then the assistant, set it, I did the voice recognition thing and when I was ready to turn on the ok google command it was greyed, I couldn't turn it on. How can I turn it on? I'd like to have the voice recognition since it's what an assistant is meant for, it's useless if I have to activate it by opening the app
