D855 immediatly restarts after boot finishes - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey I need some help with my LG G3. It keeps rebooting after the Boot has finished. It shows my lock screen for about 3 seconds and then restarts itself. You have any idea how to fix this? The Problem startet 2 days ago, when the batteries runs out. After reloading and starting it just keeps rebooting.
I´m on stock LG android 6 with no Root or custom recovery
What I have tried so far:
- Used other stock battery
- Tried Safe Mode
- Flashed Stock Rom again
Could it be the battery? Damaged by going too empty?
Thanks for your help...

When I had this problem before if was due to battery. The phone restarts itself no matter what rom I was on. Buying a new battery was the solution I found. But if you tried another battery and still getting this, it might not be the reason.
G3 D855---ROM : Crdroid 7.1

Testet a brand new battery. Problem is still there.
Is there a way to backup my data before a factory reset? just can get into download mode. Is it possible to flash a recovery system with the lg Flash tool?

[Q] Samsung Note N7100 stuck boot loop when unplug, but when charging loads the KitKat

Hi Guys,
've flash my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 to 4.4.2 KitKat it was successful, but after a few days my note 2 keeps auto shutting down randomly and sometimes I can't turn it on from sleep. I thought I've just missed something when flashing to 4.4.2 KitKat, what I did was to re-flash it and check if I've missed something but not. After I re-flash it, I've encountered this problem. I'm stuck at boot loop, I've done the Wipe process it was successful, but it didn't fix the problem, what I've noticed is when it's NOT charging or plug to PC it is stuck at boot loop, but when I plugged it to PC or charge it it continues loading the KitKat, sometimes prompting that it's not charging.
I'm wondering what could be the problem here. I've google any possible problem, I can't find any similar problem to mine. Can anyone help?
I'm still try any possible way to fix... HELP!

I exactly encounter the same issue on my Note II. It seems that the automatic reboot (then the boot loop) when the phone is unplugged is generated with apps (or system) using internet connection or the camera.
Please help ! :crying:

I had a similar problem with my note 2 N7100.
It used to reboot every 30 minutes.
The best solution was to reinstall the firmware using ODIN.
First you need to download the firmware from sammobile and put the phone in download mode and install it.
Hope this solution helps you too.

Thank you anish. I already tried this solution (with stock firmware and Cyanogenmod 10.3 &11) but it didn't work for me
The phone boot only happens when I unplug the USB cable and launch an app. If I do nothing after unplugging the cable the phone don't boot immediatly.

Hi guys ! I finally found a temporary work around to avoid automatic reboot. After multiple tests I noticed that the issue seems to come from CPU usage. My phone never went to deep sleep and often stayed around 1600MHz.
The work around was to go to Preferences > Performances > Processor/CPU > Strategy select "userspace" . The CPU goes down to 800MHz but I don't have any more automatic reboot when the USB cable is unplugged.
After reboot the boot loop is still there (so I need to put back in the USB cable to boot normally). I was wondering if the boot loop comes from the boot.img file...

Ive literally tried everything .even repartioned the phone . it works fine in recovery and download mode but as soon as i want too boot to android unplugged it restarts . when plugged it has no problem
Funny thing. I have a factory Sprint Note 2 with the latest kitkat updat and I am experiencing the same problem. Phone has not been rooted or messed with. If anybody come across a solution let me know. I booted the phone and unplugged the power button to verify and it does the same thing. Only stays on when in airplane mode or charging.
One more thing. I tried somewhat to do what was posted above about performance / cpu power. I put the phone in powersave mode and checked limit cpu and is is fully operation. problem gone. If I turn power save mode off I'm back to square one.
To late. Took a picture by mistake and phone jumped into boot loop.
i have GT-N7100 and same problem phone is stuck on boot loop when unpluged
---------- Post added at 04:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:24 PM ----------
i just tought maybe it needs new battery. cause before i unpluged it it showed 67% then bootlooped 2x then i pluged back in and it shows me only 5%. i think its battery cause it cant dishcharge in 1 or 2min
My initial problems were that it would drop signal and show an x with no bars intermittently. then i started having problems anytime the phone demanded use. Picture, internet, video. tried a few things listed above. Still would go into a boot loop when not plugged in. Battery would charge normally and show it percentage like normal. It would reach 100% with no difference in charge time. When battery saver is on it would not have a problem unless I use an app that demands more cpu usage, network connection, battery consumption. Put a new battery and problem is gone. some people say the battery show swelling but my battery looks identical to the new one. no swelling and it is not deformed in any way.
It also solves the problem for me ...but i dont know what to do after the restart ...have u found a permenant solution

I was thinking. If you flashed with a bad battery whats there to keep it from affecting the flash / update. The stock system doesn"t allow an update unless the battery is charged. It doesn't know if the battery is faulty. Try to reflash after a new battery has been reinstalled and charged to full. It's just a thought.

Where is the Preferences section? I am unable to find that on my Note 2 settings.
Experienced the same thing and this is the first time I had this. I was playing a game after I fully charged my battery and suddenly it turns off. So I waited for it to turn on where I noticed that it keeps on turning on and off and stuck on the " Samsung Galaxy Note 2" logo screen. Then I tried several things like clearing the cache and dalvik but it just do the same thing. I re-flashed the 4.4 ROM that I was using but sadly it does the same thing. I then noticed that if I plug in the charger it works normally and does not boot loop. And as soon as I remove the charger it will keep on restarting on and off on that screen. I was thinking that it might be a hardware failure or the battery itself. So I went to recovery mode and unplugged the charger, it stays on. Went to download mode without the charger and it stays on. Freakin' weird. I am about to flash a different ROM and will wipe everything and see what happens...
Fully charged the battery to 100%, unplugged the charger and it started to boot loop again. I allowed it to boot loop once and immediately went to recovery mode and saw that my fully charged battery went down to 3%. Tried different ROMS (Omega, DN3, and Phoenix), I still have this issue. Now can use my Note2 as long as the charger is plugged in...
Change your battery and solve the problem ?

[Q] [HELP] LG G3 Random Reboot then Boot Looped

Hi guys,
My sister's LG G3 had this weird bug where it restarts itself every time the Mobile Data is turned on. Several days after that it got stuck in boot loop, hell, it doesn't even enter the boot animation. It just completely restarts after the LG logo. I tried factory resetting the phone, which should've worked from my experience, but alas it still boot looped.
I wanna try flashing the stock firmware via Max Lee's tutorial but since the internet in my office is weak, I won't be trying this soon. Just wanna ask, is this a common problem since I saw many threads about this in Google Search? Is there a way to restore the phone without downloading a new firmware? What seems to have caused this problem?
Also what is the most stable custom ROM for the G3? The LG Stock one is soooooooo heavy. Thanks guys.

LG G3 d855 rooted (sudden demigod TZ-Kernel crash)

So..I have this d855 2gb 16gb variant.
It is rooted,it has cyanogenmod 13 nightly with kernel adiutor(with cpu governor set).It worked like a charm (3 months till the last update).
Today I launched youtube app and all of sudden it restarted..and it kept restarting in a bootloop.( he passes lg logo and enters the android one and after 10 15 sec it reboots.)
I tried to charge it,change batteries but with no luck.
I deleted dalvik cache and cache..but still nothing
then I tried to flash again the rom and there the phone gives me 35% of the times demigod:TZ crash with green screen.. and the other times demigod:Kernel crash.
I decided to delete kernel adiutor folders hoping for a luck..nein. ( using twrp)
I can access TWRP,it works fine but when flashing sometimes it gives me that demigod errors.
I can pass the LG logo but it gets stuck at android logo then restarts..or at finalizing/preparing apps.
baseband-modem: 21C
cm version: 13.0 2016 10 22
any help?
UPDATE:
Windows detects my phone as "LG Android Usb Device".
UPDATE2:
after leaving it resting one night it booted.
i still need help fixing it because it's not normal.
It worked fine from 6am till 1pm.
Now it freezes and restarts randomly.
need help guys..
Flash stock rom and test for crash couple days. If still crash, then if your G3 has still warranty to service. Probably MB broken.
If no crashing then root and flash rom

Unfortunately it gave me demigod: hw reset and no longer wants to load TWRP or download mode.
It restarts at the logo or at the android loading. I'll give a shot for the warranty.

Verizon LGG3 VS985 not booting

Hello
I am new to working on these phones so I apologize in advance if I don't properly state any processes or terms correctly.
I have a stock non modded Verizon LGG3 VS985 that experienced problems with WiFi and Bluetooth not working and significant battery drain. This happened right after a recent update to marshmallow. I tried cache clearing, safe mode, hard reset and nothing solved the problem. I decided I wanted to take the phone back to factory condition. I started with the LG flash tool that uses the .tot and a .dll. I ran the flash and when the program got to approx. 80%(at checking mini os phase of the flash) the phone began to reboot and only got as far as the LG logo and after about 2 min of the phone trying to reboot the flash program said fail, usb connect or something like that. At this point the phone will only start and go into a loop that includes the vibrate and the LG logo. and that will cycle until I believe the battery would die if allowed. I then found a link here at XDA (https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/general/guide-flash-to-stock-10b-kdz-method-t2928140) that uses the KDZ method, was well written and easy to follow. I ran it on the phone and it was going great. The flash program got to 88% and the phone went into the boot loop with the vib and LG logo . The flash program continued to run until it was complete while the phone was in the boot loop and it got to 100% and said that the software installed. I powered down the phone via battery removal and now when it tries to boot it vibes, shows the lg log and then the green android symbol shows for about 2 seconds and then it does it all over again. I have tried a hard reset and nothing changes. I appreciate any ideas any of you may have on what I can try to get this resolved. Thank you.

Not sure I understand the question completely, but I did place the phone in download mode as per the method you mention prior to both attempting the KDZ method and the TOT method of going back to stock.

LG G4 stuck on LG life's good screen but no boot loop

Hello everyone,
i'm having a really weird issue. I have stock 6.0 installed.
A few minutes ago my phone rebooted because it was overheating due to gaming.
Since my phone was overheating it was just rebooting again & again because i needed to let it cool down.
I removed the battery (as i usually did) in order to let my phone cool down however when i booted my phone it wouldnt want to pass that "LG life's good" splash screen.
It's not a boot loop, i'ts not rebooting again & again anymore, it's just stucked on this LG screen.
How can i boot into safe mode or wipe cache knowing that i don't have any access to LG homescreen + settings.
Help
EDIT : What is the last firmware version of the H815 Swiss model? Should I try to flash my phone with the last version? I think it's not an hardware problem, something in the boot sequence might be corrupted when i removed the battery during the booting process.
