LG G4 Stock firmware upgrade to Marshmallow v10b-eur-xx - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Been banging my head trying to get my LG G4 to upgrade to marshmallow (I know the update has been out for a while).
Bought the device used and didn't realise it was a v10b-eur-xx. I checked online it looks as though these were for display models.
I've tried using LG UP tool to use a KDZ file for Europe to manually upgrade. When I open LG UP it will not show any options under "process" so I cannot even select the update file.
Has anyone else come across this? I can't find a direct update file for v10b but have found versions which are v20c and some say they are compatible.
Any pointers would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks,

Or flash the rom with the LG Fashtool 2014, get the rom here http://lg-firmware-rom.com/. Do a data factory reset after the flash for the best result.
I have the same problem here.
How can i upgrade my lg g3?

[Q] Unable to upgrade software to v20H

I have LG G3 32gb D855, my current Android version is 4.4.2 and when I check for updates via the LG PC Suite it says I can upgrade my software to 20H.
I proceed with the upgrade but when it says "Analyzing Upgrade Environment" it skips to the end and gives me an error:

Exactly the same problem here I'm afraid and no clue how to fix.
I've got the 32GB model and currently running 5.0.....
Any help greatly appreciated.
EDIT - sometime I get this message instead - I've only used 6GB internal memory and none of my SD card.....
Hi , go here : http://lg-firmware-rom.com/ and enter your imei number and download the latest firmware for your phone.
then, follow this tutorial :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089 how to flash a KDZ using LGFlashTool2014. Good luck!!!
Thanks twisted_twice, I'll give it a go and report back!
EDIT - after several crashes of the update tool - it worked! I seem to have gone from the European software version (V20a-EUR-XX) to the Taiwan version (V20h-TWN-XX) but I don't suppose that's an issue.
Now, if only I could get the handset to show 4G (only get GSM/WCDMA auto) options.....

what should I do?
upgrade to 30c then 30j ? what's the stable one?
If you rooted and twrp installed then download v30j zip file and flash it through twrp....if you want to be fully stock then v30b should be best because people said it has best battery life just flash it using lg up..you can also flash v30j but you should be get cust error then you have to root the phone and flash cust error fix from twrp..

I just want to update my G710ULM to pie... Why is this so difficult? I successfully backed up my data, connected via the Air Drive thing, but it won't let me update?

Having the same problem here. Wrote an Email to the LG Support with my IMEI. Turned out that i got a Demodevice that canĀ“t be updated.
Your phone has a cross Firmware. For sure a Sprint version (G710PM) with a 710ULM firmware flashed. LG bridge DO NOT GOING TO check your phone.
If you want to update to latest pie firmware you can do what I (and others) did, to flash manually the firmware by youself. I did it twice, my wife's phone and my own phone. 5 minute and you gonna have Pie 9.0 with 1 Oct. 2019 security patch.
Link with instructions <<Here>>
Good luck!
Have same issue, there is no cross firmware that I am aware of blocking me here...
its 2021. I bought 2 unlocked lg 8 thinq from amazon for me and my wife from a different seller. hers was one that came with alexa. Hers is through verizon/total wireless, mine is from att or tmobile with metropcs service. Hers updates perfectly and gets all the updates while my phone is stuck on the very first system update without a way to update. I'm on G820UM10i I tried lg bridge. It finds my phone but gives me a error and wont check phone for update. Will this work for my phone and how could i do this if i have a newer version needing android 10?

Can I Flash my LG G5 LS992 Sprint (Demo) Phone?

Hi:
I flashed a Samsung phone a few years ago so I am a little familiar on how to do this. I have had my LG G5 LS992 Sprint (DEMO) phone for about 2.5 year and just recently it started getting hot (sometimes) for some unknown reason... it is not the battery. I performed a factory reset and no change. So before I trash the phone for a hardware failure I thought it best to flash the OS and see if that fixes it.
I have tried every LG Flash utility I can find and they all fail. The LG Mobile Support Tool (LGMST) gives this error message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Is this truly why I cannot flash the phone using any flash tool? I`m not looking for an upgrade, just a re-load of the latest firmware that I have. During flash attempts the phone is in Firmware Update mode, developer options are enabled, Enable OEM unlock is enabled and USB debugging is on. USB communications is set to MTP. It is running Android 7.0 Kernel 3.18.31 Software version LS992ZVF. Again, this is a "DEMO" phone if that makes a difference.
IN the LGMST if I choose the option of "Upgrade Recovery" the LGMST actually downloads a firmware image but fails when it tries to load it to the phone. It seems the phone has a built in flash-block by any method other than OTA. The phone is not active with any carrier so the OTA Firmware load method is not an option.
If anyone has insights as to what is going on I would sure like to know what they are. If I have to trash the phone I will.
Thanks,
Tom
