App Drawer Question

Is their anyway without installing a launcher to hide certain apps or hide the names of the apps drawer? I like Sense 4 but I would like to hide certain apps or hide their names if possible without the need for another launcher.
Go to manage apps, select the app you want , uninstall all updates and disable, this will only remove it from app drawer

Navbar question

Hello to all,
Is it possible top hide navbar when is not needed? Just like when that thing hides itself in videos or YouTube app. I am on JB androidme rom.
Thanks.
I use LMT and disable the navbar
It is great
You can only hide it completely and use an alternate gesture launcher etc. It won't actively appear and hide unfortunately and no hack has added that exact functionality.
+1 for LMT and Full Screen Toggle...awesome to have the full screen in all my apps now.
What is LMT?

PA has an expanded desktop option, that makes it full screen at will.

[SOLVED] Expanded Desktop(Fullscreen) for Stock/TW ROMS

Is there a way to hide the status bar/expanded desktop on a stock/tw ROM while still being able to see "Recent Apps"(long press home) and also "Expand Notifications"(through PIE chevron target).
On AOSP/AOKP, you can enable Expanded Desktop via Power Menu(long press Power button) and still be able to select Recent Apps and Expand Notifications no problem.
On stock/tw ROMs, I setup "hide status bar" through GMD Gesture Control but it seems to be just killing the System UI process because also incoming calls ring the ringtone, but don't pop up on the screen. VERY ANNOYING lol any suggestions?

TW is a love/hate thing for me...
Hiding status does exactly what you describe. The UI is disabled, and the functions simply stop working all together. ( Hey SAMMY !!...that was a cheap trick)...LOL
The only way I know to get the function you want, is by using the AO builds. Stock TW builds or our variants do not have this function baked in, to my knowledge....g
Are you willing to use a different launcher? Nova allows you to hide the status bar

Apex Launcher and nav bar...

Three dots keep coming and going in my nav bar (refer screenie)
Aesthetically it's not pleasing, plus the first time it appeared I thought it was there to stay - so I removed dock and used nav bar for all shortcuts, and you know it - the bloody thing disappeared!?
So I was effectively locked out of the launcher... Now the frickin thing is back again!!??
How to remove/disable it??
T.I.A
On CM11 4.4.4, latest Apex Launcher...

Those three dots are the menu. It pops up in certain apps that have no other menu option. It can be disabled in most custom roms, but not the launcher.

Yup, go to settings and find your navbar settings. You should have full control over the menu button (the 3 dots)

@ all... I am aware that they are for Apex menu, that's why I disabled dock so I could use dots and nav bar for menu navigation... CM11 as far as I can tell doesn't allow nav bar tweaking. Ever since CM went legit their roms have been a lot less feature packed, my old ideos on CM7 had more options than their latest and greatest. Also, the fact it comes and goes is the problem. 4.4.4 bug w/ Apex maybe...

On my tablet certain apps use the menu (three dots) … XDA, Amazon, Movie Fone, GoodReads, etc. I have not used CM on my Gpad, but on my Asus Tablet CM11 does have Nav Bar customizations. On my Gpad I use Slimkat and it allows you to turn off the menu.

:5laps-head: found buttons...
If I enable menu autohide, it'll be gone for a whole then come back!?
I've disabled it so we'll see what functionality I lose and whether it comes back again... Remember I don't mind seeing it in app, but when Launcher is only app open - I'd like it to am-scray
Update: with auto hide it still reappears!? If I disable it apps lose functionality... Reboot, or toggle hide/show in navbar settings gets rid of it for a while... But it's as annoying as heck!

Have you contacted Apex? I've been using them for a few years and have had to contact them a few time. They're pretty good about responding.
I'm running stock ROM and Jelly Bean so I don't have this issue...sorry, that's all I got for you.

I've moved it to far left, for some reason I don't find it as irritating on this side when it randomly pops up...

Try Mahdi Rom or Slimkat Rom and see if it happens. I use both with no issues.

Remove Google search bar from top of the screen?

Huawei Honor5x
LineageOS 14.1 and minimal google apps.
No matter what I try I cannot remove google search bar from top of the screen.
Went to settings->apps->google app Force Stop . But Disable button never is active.
Not a big deal but really annoying.
thx
Long-press home screen, then go to settings and unselected Google search bar. I am open Nova, therefore I am not 100% sure, but you should be able to remove it.
