My sim contacts wouldnt automatically show, so basically i wouldnt see the name of the person whos texting me. Its really annoying. I still have to go to contacts every now and then to "load" it up or worse turn on and off my phone and go to contacts again. It should automatically load up right? But why? -_- Any help?
Copy the sim contacts to Phone.

I installed Windows mobile 6.1 yesterday and I am experiencing a problem when it comes to my contacts. I synced them back after upgrading, with Sprite Backup 6.2. It's all good as the contacts are all in the phone. But when I recieve calls from known people whose numbers are stored. They show up as regular numbers all in international formats like
+1(713)....... etc. How do I fix this back to the regular 713 so that the numbers can pull up from my contacts, please I really need to be able to know who is calling me. The numbers show up as if they are not stored. Anyone else going through this? How did you solve it?
So far all I have succeeded to is use photo contacts pro to identify the caller. But when I check call history, there is no name at all tied to it.
Please help
just a guess by a noob, but did you check your regional settings?
Yes I did,
yes I did, I corrected that too. But it did not help. Still does the same thing

delete them all and try syncing then with active sync?
Thanx
I will try that, but where do I back them up before syncing them. Try outlook? will that work? because my wife does not have an outlook account. I guess I will just merge the contacts with mine.
Thanx.

Outlook does support multiple profiles if you don't want to merge your contacts. Google it for instructions
Thanx a lot
I will try that when I get home, you have all been helpful. Thanx again

nobody knows a solution?
I have two SMS messages that I thought were deleted, but when I reboot my phone they show-up with what looks like an SD card icon in the upper right portion of the message. I have combed through my SD card and don't see any saved messages. I can't seem to find anything on the main memory.
Anyone else have this problem and figured out a way to permanently delete these messages?
For that matter, how do you permanently save a text?

Sound like they maybe saved to ur sim. Before my tp2 got busted I used to get sms alerts from 129 saved to the sim when people would leave me voicemails on tmobile us. With my backup cell it saved text to the sim when my inbox got full. U sound be able to deleted like ne other text if not try ur sim in a different cell & try it.
The question is, where is it saved on my sim? I've been through allmy folders and can't find it. When I delete it and reboot -- it's back again.
(I'll give it a try on my original tilt and see if that will work. Thanks.)
Hey all. I'm having an issues showing my sim contacts on my LG. Basically I flashed LG G3 MM, all was working great the first few days till I had to root the device. After the root I noticed all my contacts had disappeared. Like vanished! My call log & messages had no name associated, just numbers.
So I downloaded the sim contacts app & all my contacts were on the app, but not on my phone contacts. I can't even make a new contact in my SIM card, only on phone storage & Google. I'm fairly certain that the root did something to screw up the SIM card contacts from being displayed. Is there a solution to this? I want to be able to view my contacts & add contacts back to my sim. Thanks

with rooted marshmallow the sim contacts not working. Only with official kdz, not rooted, you can have sim contacts like lollipop...
