Can you advise how to proceed, please?

Have You an accepted sim card inside your i900 ?
I had. It would accept the SIM card's PIN but would not connect to network.
I flashed the phone to an unbranded ROM just now and it won't accept the SIM card any more. Seems odd to me...
I have a same problem My phone was working perfectly before the ROM upgrade now the device is locked. The IMSI also cannot be found in the Registry.
Hi everyone,
I guess many of you are in huge pain with the KU990 new version, that is, the ones that cannot be unlocked using lg3g or mtty methods.
Here I would like to describe everything I tried so far and the current status I am locked in today.
My biggest mistake was to not backup my phone (the famous .nv2 file) at the very beginning ! I strongly advise people who wish to modify their phone somehow to first backup with LGMDP !! Otherwise you may end just like me...
I started with a SFR (VDF FRANCE) locked phone and, as I did not have the SFR sim card at that time, I tried to unlock it with both the lg3g and the mtty methods. Unfortunately the unlocking procedures did not work at all, although I ensure I tried everything. I finally read somewhere that the newest KU990 had a supplementary protection that could not be overcome.
In parallel I was able to manage to change the firmware to OPEN or VDF (EURO) versions ranging from v10a to v10j (using LGMDP). So it seems that there is no big issue there.
However at some point in the process (I guess the unlocking), my IMEI was changed. And my phone started to ask me to "Insert USIM card" or to refer to "Invalid USIM card" depending on if a sim was in or not. I understood that USIM was referring to international sim cards so I tried to reinstall VDF firmwares with VDF .nv2 and VDF Flex backups (still not mine), but this made my phone unusable as it displayed a nice yellow screen and the fact that some wallpaper file could not be found. Still I could solve this problem by I changing back to OPEN firmwares and .nv2.
Now I recovered the original sim card from SFR and was able to obtain the unlock code from their hotline. But as my IMEI has been changed, the unlock code fails now.
Thus I tried to reset or to change my IMEI back to what is written below the battery using either lg3g, mtty, QPST or NVEditor. This also leaded nowhere as even reading the IMEI with lg3g and mtty failed and as QPST and NVEditor revealed that the NV_UE_IMEI_I parameter was protected (NV_READONLY_S). I tried many different things with these tools but it does not seem possible to break the protection.
I guess my only chance now would be to insert my old IMEI into an existing .nv2 file. I have found some "NV2 - QCN TOOLS V1.4" that can do this but only on the KU20.
Does anyone has a tool allowing to insert a new IMEI in a .nv2 ?
OR
Did anyone go through the same difficulties and did finally find a solution ?
any help will be greatly appreciated )
please do not ask me how i did this or that for the moment, if I can solve my problem I will certainly return the favor to all of you later on.
Hello,
Have you tested the tools for the KS20, because the. NV2 is certainly quite similar.
@+
Thank you for your suggestion.
I tried the tool but first it returns a NV2 Status Error when I load any .nv2 file, second the IMEI is forced into 357323-01-XXXXXX whereas both my original and current IMEIs start with 353638-02, and third, although the tool indeed creates the file (I chose "Branded nv2"), the backup fails (LGMDP reports four NV ITEMs with NV_BADPARM_S with no more information) and I end up in Emergency mode.
A KU990 version of the tool might do the trick, if it is possible to specify the full IMEI of course. I can send my current nv2 file(s) if it can help anyone...
hi,
Can you send me by PM your backup NV2, the original IMEI and IMEI on your phone now.

hello , all of you.
i'm from Iran and i repair my imei successfully!
i want to share my solution way to you , my dears!
if your imei repaired with my way , please pray for me.
solution:
you need to use digma sofia (phone tool 191).
first , root your phone.
second , install intel drivers for your pc
thirth , use adb to set your phone to diag mode.with this command: adb shell
su (after enter this , grant supersu from phone)
setprop system.at-proxy.mode 1(1 for sim 1 and 3 for sim2)
After this commands , in pc's device manager , you see the intel virtual android port.if you see , continue.
open phone tool and use it with sofia's pdf help.
Note:for who persons that port dont open (freeze in settings(1/3) : You are using android 6.Yes?!
Android 6 dont allow to ports to open.you will need to downgrade to android 5.just in android 5 you will be able to use phone tool and ports will be active.
My this Note , saves you life , man.yes?!i tried one week in android 6 and ports Dont active.Dont try my brother.just Downgrade to 5 and use phone tool.
Downgrade:
Download this downgrade firmware with your pc and transfer it with cable to your phone.unplog cable and system will be show notification to update.accept it.or you can use adb sideload or use sd card update wia recovery.just flash that downgrade zip file and you will be in lollipop.after use phone tool in lollipop and repair imei with that , upgrade to marshmallow again with above way and use factory reset after upgrade!
Downgrade m to l firmware:
search google: how to downgrade asus zenfone 2 and download UL-Z00A-WW-52.20.40.196-user.zip from asus site.
Note: for sim 1 , use setprop 1 and for sim 2 , use setprop 3

Hello Xperia users! In the meantime, I finally solved the VOLTE problem! I approached Qualcomm's diagnostic port-active-efsExplorer and solved the problem by inserting a VOLTE profile from my carrier
Sorry, this is Korea and I am Korean.
However, I will write down the method in English.
Unlike previous 1&5, Qualcomm's diagnostic port cannot be opened.
opening command
I don't even know. I don't think so.
So it's a little different from before.
I tried to force it open.

Open the Command Proposal window.
adb shell input

Do you want to allow shell on your phone?
prompt acceptance of permission
Then the $ shape changes to #.
Now
setprop persist.usb.eng 1
Copy paste entry. Please enter
And you're gonna be out there during tethering.
In My Computer Item
View Device Manager.
Please turn debugging back on.
Of course, no access.
If you turn on debugging again,
I've already set it up, so it looks like that.
Among them, there is a product model named XQ-AT52.
There are four yellow exclamation points in total.
Manually update driver Press [port] to list the manufacturers
It's called Qualcomm hs-usb-diagh and 9091. with this
I need a manual update. gogo
Now run the EFS Express.
Press 0 on the ROW and OK.
(ROW or SF_Default)
Oh, it takes a long time. I thought it stopped.
It opens if you stay still. LOL
It's open. How nice to see you here!
I am the Korean telecommunication company EFS file extracted from xperia1.
I used it. If you need VOLTE,
XPERIA1 (Modem).Extract from SIN file
I will use the Korean communication file.
Just drag it and put it in a folder.
v check and Yes
There'll be folders that don't exist while you're pulling them in.
Then make it and put the file in.
In the folder where you can view this red file,
Drag and drop the file twice.
The reason is that once you do it, you just go in.
The red file is not updated.
That's how the numbers at the back change when you renew.
So make sure to put it in twice.
Files beginning with NV do not have folders.
Put it on top.
It's over now!

It's hidden in XPERIA1 firmware.
After downloading the firmware via Xperia Pim, change the extension to Modem.img in the Modem.sin file and extract it to the compression program (7z) to view the folder! Surprisingly, the world's telecommunications company VOLTE EFS file is hidden. +_+ Take advantage of it! You can open the VOLTE menu through the magazine module.
Hi, why don't you show by video or pictures. The windowns language is English. ???
Attach the necessary software.
Thanks
I estimate, its only possible by unlocking/rooting the phone?
how to
Even with the great contributors' information, I think there are a few areas where I struggle.
For additional information, I will post my success stories.
I'm posting them in machine translation. Please forgive me if it's hard to read.
STEP 1: Implement the Tools You Need
Please install the following tools.
QPST(QPST_2.7.460)
Qualcomm-hs-usb-diagnostics-9091-952454(DIAG driver)
Flashtool (and XperiaFirm)
newflasher(INSTALL is unnecessary, but please get it.)
*All of the above were available on the internet as of 8/15.
STEP2: Get a "modem" that supports VoLTE.
As a prerequisite (regardless of the DualSim/SinglSim model)
For countries that want to use VoLTE, SONY is offering
Official firmware is required.
In my example.
Purchased model: XQ-AT52 (for Hong Kong)
The country where you want to use it: Japan -> SO-51A is available.
(The difference in the number of slots in the SIM doesn't affect it. )
This is the case.
If the firmware to run VoLTE does not exist in the country where you want to use it
This method does not work.
The annotations are long, but here are the steps.
Use XperiFirm, provided by SONY in the country where you want to use VoLTE.
Download the firmware.
STEP3: Use the newflasher to write the firmware from STEP2 to your Xperia 1 ii.
In this case, if you want to burn into a model with a different number of SIM slots
Example: Writing SO-51A firmware to XQ-AT52
→The SIM will not be recognized, but it is temporary.
STEP4: Use EFS Explorer to get the necessary files.
Follow the steps of the great htcmage and have your Xperia 1 ii recognized by EFS Explorer.
4-1: Install the QPST.
4-2:Install Magisk on your Xperia 1 ii.
Therefore, it is mandatory to unlock the bootloader.
4-3:Execute the commands at the command prompt as follows.
adb shell
su
setprop persist.usb.eng 1
Magisk's permission is now required to get SuperUser privileges in su.
Note: From the Magisk menu, go to "# SuperUser" and click on
You can allow.
4-4: The debug mode is disconnected, so you need to re-enable it.
4-5: If you have installed the qualcomm-hs-usb-diagnostics-9091-952454 (DIAG driver), you can use
It is recognized by EFS Explorer.
4-6: On the Phone Selectio screen, Banner selects the ROW port.
STEP 5: Back up the files required for VoLTE activation.
Before following the steps below, you must have the SIM of the line/carrier you want to enable VoLTE on.
Please plug in.
I have backed up the following folders.
There may be some things you don't need, but at least it works.
Data_Profiles
efsprofiles
Ims.
nv/item_files/datamodem
nv/item_files/ims
nv/item_files/mcfg
nv/item_files/modem
STEP6: Write the firmware you want to use, and copy the file from STEP5 to
Override.
Follow steps 3 to 4 of STEP 3 to 4 to get the firmware you want to use.
Write & make EFS Explorer recognize it. (Don't remove the SIM.)
Then, overwrite it with the files backed up in STEP 5.
You should probably now have VoLTE available.
Thanks to the person who walked me through the Magisk installation process, and to the great htcmage.
Also, I pray that others wandering in the same sea of information will be saved.
:good:

I used a software called S1 Unlock Tool. You need to buy a credit from this website: https://networkunlocking.com/shop/sony-xperia-cable-unlock-0-counter-supported/. There is also a link to download the software. Along with unlocking your phone it will also grant you access to unlock your bootloader if you wish to do so. I did this and tried to root my phone but I wasn't successful, it just soft bricked my phone and was stuck in a boot loop. I had to use Xperia Companion to restore my phone. Maybe you can't root the Japanese variants, I'm not sure. I saw on here on another forum that you can root the Xperia 1 II.
While trying to install a Custom ROM, all went wrong with a hard bricked Redmi Note 8T as result.
Have been able to revive the phone in EDL mode (Test Points method). Now running again on MIUI Global 12.5.5 (RCXEUXM).
However, the IMEI's are nulled, can't activate a SIM card. Only WiFi works.
A first, essential step in the process to repair the IMEI's, is to open the diag mode. Found a few methods, but none of these methods work.
Not via *#*#717717#*#* (Open diag failed), not via adb devices // adb shell // su // setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb (Permission denied).
The phone is rooted with Magisk; recovery OrangeFox.
Does anyone have a helpful suggestion how to proceed?
Follow-on: Meanwhile, I've been able to open the Diag-mode. Apparently, one or two switches in Magisk had masked the rooting of the phone.
Now on to editing the qcn-file with the correct IMEI's. First,I have to figure out the location of the two IMEI's, and then to correct these into the correct values.
To be continued...

I have had the same problem with my previous Redmi Note 3. And I tried so may ways to re-write the IMEI number. Finally I found a little software on the net and using my computer I was able to re-write the IMEI number to the phone. I was a long time back, so I dont remember the exact name of the software. It was something like IMEI writer (root). Connected the phone which was also rooted. Then opened the software on my PC and the software asked for superuser access, which I granted on the phone. Then there from the pc using the software I entered the IMEI numbers for both sim1 & 2, and applied then reboot phone. After reboot, the phone then detected the simcards and the imei were back.

My current problem: I can find a .qcn file and have to edit it with the proper IMEI's. Found a Qualcomm IMEI Rebuilder tool, but that tool doesn't work. With a Hex-editor it is difficult to find the proper location. Found the location of one IMEI and then saved the file with a different name. Loading that file into the Rebuilder tool indeed shows (one) correct IMEI. Have installed that file with QFIL, but when I check with *#06#, it shows a completely different IMEI...
Meanwhile, I've searched for IMEI write (root). Found IMEI Tools (ROOT)_1.4_apkcombo.com.apk.
Prooved incompatible for my phone.
Then found qualcomm-smartphone-write-imei-tool-v1.01.apk
Tried that out, but couldn't establish communication with the diag-COMport.
In fact, I can't activate the diag mode any longer... Tried and re-tried, but all in vain.
When I enter the last command ('setprop .... etc.), communication via the USB port is also stopped. Re-establishing that doesn't make a difference. No COMport appearing in device manager or in QFIL...

UMT works with dongle? Price?
I tried Hydra, but got a Trojan Horse warning, and therefore broke off installation.
Umt needs dongle.
First restore original qcn(unedited) then try flashing ENG firmware.
!! Iam not responisble if anything wrong happens with your phone.
