hi all,
have any of u noticed that google app crashes when we go to google app ; click on setting then voice then ok google....
i made the assistant work, it worked on day 1. then on 2nd day i had this problem.
i flashed stock 7.0 and tried, custom (WETA- which already has assistant) and also 7.1.1
any of you facing this issue.... any fixes?

Lately i have problem with google services, more precise with google keyboard. It constantly crashes when i type, other google apps also crashes (play, youtube) but google keyboard the most. What is the problem and how can i solve it? i have cm12 5.1 lolipop on it, i never updated it

Recently I have updated the google playstore then apps are not downloading for updates or any new installation. Google keyboard crashes many times. If you do not set specific sim for call you cannot do USSD request, the phone will restart automatically several times. If any of the sim has passcode lock it will keeep asking for passcode constantly even after entering many times then co.android.phone stops working.
seems a lot of bugs in this rom but sound quality and battery status is quite good, no heating issues unlike miui.
I had Google Assistant working it just came out of nowhere. I reset the phone now it's gone. How do I get it back.

Is your language set to English US?

I had faced similar issues. Go to settings>> apps>> google app tap on three dots and select uninstall updates. Reboot your device. Open playstore update google app and assistant will appear

I've only just noticed that I now have assistant. I thought it was still on US.
I've just set up all my smart home devices and it's working really well

Resetting the phone didn't work, clearing app data and reinstalling fight work.

I'm the proud owner of two D855 and one D858HK.
For about a week I've noticed that I cannot configure OkGoogle to work from any screen.
I tried Oreo, Nougat and Marshmallow ROMS.
I managed to make it work upon first install of a Marshmallow ROM, but after the first reboot, and Google updating its services everything stops working.
The microphone works because I can issue commands is I press the OkGoogle widget.
And here comes the problem.
I go to configure Assistant go to voice, OkGoogle and then move the toggle From nay screen, I get the voice training part and... I say OkGoogle as I did hundreds of times before. Nothing happens, as if the microphone was dead. But it's not.
So... I tried on both my D855 phones and on one V500 tablet.
It does not work!
The devices are rooted.
My Google account is in good order.
The language of the device AND the search language is set to English US.
I tried emptying the cache of the Google App...
I installed fresh ROMS.
I restored previous backups.
I'm running out of ideas and patience.
I need OkGoogle for my voice activated Taker profiles.
Any ideas?
So, I found out the culprit.
It's the Google app.
If I update it to the latest version I lose Ok Google.
So I must keep the current one.
I can confirm that Google app is creating this issue.
This post is written on Resurrection Remix Nougat.
So I uninstalled the Google update, trained the voice and everything works.
Now I must find a way to prevent Google from updating if I press, by mistake, the update all button on Google play.
First I tried to Detach app from Google store using Titanium Backup. It works, the app does not show on Google play. For a while. Then it appears in Google play...
Then I tried converting the app in a User app using Titanium Backup... And then Detach it from Google play. It worked. For now. The App itself, the Ok Google commands still work.
Nope...
After I made the Google App to be an user app and Detached it from the Google Play, after 3 hours I checked, it's still asking to update.
So I have noticed Google Assistant voice recognition isn't working for me for some time (it did in past) and Clearing cache or updating the app hasn't helped, is anyone facing same issue or knows how to fix this?

Same issue here Google assistant works if u hold the home button but saying ok Google doesn't work at all anymore hasn't worked for 3 weeks or so now

I had the same issue. Upgrading to Pie (FOTA, no reset) solved the issue for me.
Please update 'Google talk back' and 'Google text to speech' to make assistant working.

I just updated my chinese vivo x80 pro to demoversion PD2185_A_13.1.11.12.W10.V000L1. Everything works fine, but unfortunately Google Playstore always shows me an error message if I wanna download or update any app. Is there any solution to get google playstore working again?
I found a solution: Settings -> Account and sync. -> switch toggle for Google basic Services off and on (again).
Only Google assistant App not working now. If I click on the App Button nothing happens... No opening of the App or anything.

Thanks a lot! It helped. Do you experience any problems with bluetooth devices? I just can't connect to my Polar strap and use it with application. It worked normal before update.
