Hi,
I have the below unit and after upgrading ROM/MCU I am seeing a peculiar issue where unit will not boot if I leave the SD card in GPS Card slot. As soon I remove the card, the unit boots up fine.
After upgrading MCU I did lose canbus settings and I have everything working now with respect to radio, bluetooth & steering wheel keys after I picked all the options by trial and error (Didn't take backup of canbus setings). Not sure if canbus settings is the issue here.
I installed DSA PreRooted ROM as well factory ROM and this issue is still there. Any suggestions to resolve this issue?

Hello friend,
I have had the same problem with microsd card in GPS slot, problem was in card... please use partition magic or simmilar toool, remove all flags from microsd card, remove filesystem and create a new one. After this, unit works with card in GPS , I mean unit boot normally.

Hi there, I have a nasty little Chinese tablet that originally came with a 64Gb HDD partitioned into internal storage (4gb) and Phone Storage (59Gb). Long story short, I tried to swap the default installation drives around and ended up losing the 59Gb partition which refuses to come back even after a factory reset.
I have tried to re-partition the tablet but the partition wizard I'm using fails to recognise the tablet even though I have USB debugging enabled and the tablet shows up in windows explorer - see screen shot below.
I have installed a separate app onto the table (called "Default Install Location") and it tells me that the 59Gb drive is still there under /mnt/secure/asec
Can anyone tell me how to get this 59Gb partition back?

Hi Everyone,
Last week I installed Malaysk 6.0.1 rom on my head unit. After switching off the ignition, the external SD card becomes corrupt at the next turn on. The same card in the GPS slot is flawless, and the GPS card in the other slot is corrupt. After reset (reboot) is good, but only until the first shutdown.
The Head Unit MTCD KGL PX-5 4/32 Gbyte
Anybody has experience or solution?
Thanks
Janos
I'm having issues flashing Malaysk's ROM on my Seicane PX5/MTCE Android 8.0 unit (MCU MTCE-XRC).
I'm stuck at the first SD card step. After reseting my unit, the update process starts as expected but at about a 1/8 of the progress (bar), the screen simply shows "Error!!!". I need to reset my unit using the reset button.
Now I can't seem to be able to access the recovery (which I guess this is what the first SD card is trying to flash).
Unit still boot fine into Android. I just seem to have lost the recovery.
I tried the first SD card procedure with 2 different SD cards, a 1GB and a 512MB one.
Bonus question: Was the first SD card procedure necessary in my case since my unit was already on OREO?
Thanks
Yes the first card is necessary, did you replace the img file as in the guide?

Goodday, im new here and i got a problem, installing my radio that rom and its components, in the post i reach to the part when sd card 1 finishes to copy to radio, and when I am asked to remove the sd card, the radio reboots and illuminates buttons, but screen does not work. its like turned off. help me please ....
Hi everyone,
I was trying to update my mtcd gs px5 headunit (2gb) that was running malaysk ROM 1.1 (Android 8.0) to malaysk's 3.5 firmware.
I followed the instructions, booted into recovery and hit install update from SD card. It installed successfully with no errors. The next step in the guide said to wipe data so I did so. Unfortunately this led to the unit's screen going black with a flash of text every 5 seconds that reads something like "can't mount cache/recovery/last_locale".
I attempted to create a bootable SD card using the instructions on malaysk's post (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75664396&postcount=3254) but placing this SD card into the GPS slot and attempting to boot only brings up the screen in the picture attached.
I attempted to create this bootable SD using two different SD cards that are freshly formatted as well as a USB drive. I tried booting the unit using the sd cards in the GPS slot and into the regular SD slot. It only goes into that screen if there's a bootable SD card in the GPS slot.
For anyone reading this, It turned out this issue for me was caused by a faulty gps card READER.
Since I have an xtrons unit with two sd card slots (one standard the other gps) I just wired the standard SD card slot into the the GPS slot (they use the same size ribbon cable) and was able to boot from the bootable sd card.
Hope this helps someone.
