Looking for a ROM that has the latest code, so that I don't have to downgrade and risk messing up TWRP... Yeah, I know that there are workarounds, but I figured I would just wait until CM or RR released a version that has the latest OOS 3.2.7 baked in...
Any of them have that?

The cm14 test builds can run on it.

Hmmm... But those tend to have quite a few bugs and limitations still, right?
3.2.7 has been out for a few weeks... Forgive my ignorance, but why hasn't it made its way into the new ROMs yet?

True, yes. A bit buggy at this point.
I mean, you can run an oos based ROM like freedomos. It's based on 3.2.7, but it's just like stock oos with a few extras.
I guess I will just hold off then... Thanks for the info.

I just go the LG G3 and I unlocked and rooted it. Now I'm looking for a custom rom. I see there are quite a few 5.0 roms but since there is no official source, all these ROMS are pure Android and I am looking for one which has LG customization (as I really like them). I would like to know what's currently the "best" (and stable rom) for D851?

What's been most stable for me and what I consider the "best" has been SkyDragon Rom here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57862770&postcount=973
Along with the Dev's custom kernel too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/orig-development/kernel-skydragon-v0-0-3-t2847017

ROM looks good but it is quite old. Doesn't look like it has been updated in months.

None of the stock KK Roms have been updated in awhile. I think Devs are waiting on LP to be released. Once you flash it, you'll see that there's not too much to update anyways. No reason to update Roms if there's nothing new to add.

Yep, I've actually ran both. IMO, Skydragon Rom just runs a little smoother and also with the SR Remix Rom, I was having all sorts of issues with being able to edit/delete files using any kind of File Explorer app. You'll notice in the thread for that Rom, that a lot of people were having that issue. With Skydragon Rom, I don't have that issue at all so that's also a main reason that I'm on Skydragon.
They're both pretty comparable though so pretty much just personal preference. I also like the fact that the Dev for Skydragon builds his own kernels too.

Thanks for the info. I will check out the Skydragon ROM.
Installed SkyDragon earlier today and so far everything seems to be working great. Though I wouldn't have mind at least some customization because after the first boot for few minutes I was confused if the rom was actually installed it not.
Scribbled on LG G3.
Can anyone point me to some stock based active/5.1 ROMs? On cloudy2.5 right now, would like to try some others. Haven't had the phone long enough to ditch stock yet; tried PAC ROM and didn't get wifi, and am leery about losing camera quality. And i'm coming from touchwiz bloatware, so the lg bloatware seems mild in comparison.
Look up fulmics smoother than cloudy and activly maintained is a stck based and i love it then im runnin exceed kernal u fulmics has its own update center too so u feel like ure getting otas also

Thanks, will give it a shot. Still doesn't look like 5.1 based though? Hoping a 6.0 based ROM isn't TOO far away...

There's no stock based rom on 5.1 because lg didn't released any 5.1 update.

Ah, well that solves that mystery, thanks. Liking the fulmics rom so far
My brother has a G3, but with LG's default 6.0.1 it's ridiculously sluggish, and hogs ram. He has the 3gb variant, and before apps are installed, it hogs almost 2gb of it. But my Mi3 which has cm13 on it, uses just 550mb. So my goal is to help find him something that isn't so bogged down with bloat and hopefully close to stock Android.
Unfortunately though, the latest cm snapshot for G3 is Lollipop, with nightly Nouget releases. He wants to stick to Marshmallow though.
So if anyone has experience flashing on this phone, have you found any super stable marshmallow roms?
Thanks

Either Fulmics ROM or cm 13
Cm 13 is stable enough to use as a daily driver. I have the cm 14.1 and it's running ever-so greatly

Alright, definitely going to look into them, thanks I've never used CM outside of snapshots though. Can you update nightlys from the phone, or do you have to keep flashing them in recovery? 14.1 sounds appealing, haven't run into any massive bugs or problems with it..?

Yes, you can download the nightlies from the phone. Cm 14.1 doesn't have much bugs, but I'd recommend waiting a few weeks, as these are the first builds being released. So, you won't see the Theme engine yet, for example. But every other feature is working very well. But cm13 is way more stable and close to perfection, so wait using the 13 version and keep checking out the cm14 changelog to see what has changed.

Are there other than these two, jamal2367 and NevaX1 OxygenOS Stock ROM developers ?
Pretty sure they only develop for a ROM based on stock ROM, not the stock ROM itself.

This is a never-ending journey, always looking for a new ROM, and is never satisfied.
I want to try everything what is the stock ROM-based development.
I'm curious cranky old man.
Just a quick question. I've been having a lot of work recently and I felt a bit lazy to update to OB35 and OB36, so now that 5.0.3 has been released, I'm considering switching again to stable releases. Do you think I should? Would it be risky to do a dirty flash (I plan on doing a clean install anyway if 5.1 is ever released)?
Thanks in advance!
