My date doesn't have the weather. I'm driving myself crazy trying to get the weather widget lol

The weather in the top right corner is part of the update in the pixel launcher. You have to manually search for the pixel launcher in the play store, update it. Then make sure you have weather cards enabled in Google now, pull down in Google now to refresh and that should give you the weather icon/shortcut

On my phone it said Pixel Launcher was not available in my country. Used a PC and went to the Play Store, downloaded Pixel Launcher to my phone from there. Working perfectly.

Does anyone know if someone has brought the "swipe left-google now" feature from the Nexus 5 to the Nexus 7. i was playing around with the nexus 5 at BB and noticed when i swipe left from the main homescreen it opens now full screen, kinda like how the iphone goes to the search screen.

Download Epic Launcher on Play Store. I'm using it now , it can use the icon pack for Apex/Nova Launcher.

Installed Google Search= v 3.1.24.941712 on my Nexus 7 (2013).
Minor bug: There is one less row and one less column, so stuff disappears.
Major bug: The rightmost shortcut on bottom dock will disappear after restart or stopping the Google Search service.

Yeah I notice the Major bug of last icon on right. I leave it blank for that reason.

Bug fixes, better preformamce, code cleaned, new cards, those are on the search app, the home app just call GEL from search app but may have some changes too.

I installed the GEL launcher then I added a google now widget to the desktop. When I click on the widget, it prompted me to install google now. After that I had the swipe-left google now. After I got it working, I removed the google now widget.
this feature works perfectly with Google Experience Launcher on my Nexus 7, i'm only worried about the "OKAY GOOGLE" listening thing......it might kill my battery

The current beta of Nova (5.0.0b6) can do this now. I swipe up from the dock to reveal the app drawer, which I've configured to be a box with the most recently used apps on top.
Lockscreen is boring. Nearly pure black besides notifications.
My Home Screen helps me be a productive phone user.

What lock screen are you using? Since Ambient Display doesn't ever turn back on after the notification comes in, I'm looking for an alternative. I miss moto display already.

Just wondering if anyone has tried using Nova, Action, Apex or any other 3rd party launcher and what your results have been.
I'm particularly interested in knowing which, if any, Pixel Launcher features are lost if using Nova (for example), and the workarounds to gain back those features.

I use nova launcher. The new Beta enables the icon shortcut and swipe up to get to your applications.
I use beta for nova as well and no problems to report. It features every feature I need from pixel with great customization.
Nova beta here too... Even has the same weather widget as the pixel launcher

used nova and action. action better in my opinion right now. pixel experience with all the customization. nova missing left swipe gesture which is good to set to get to google now. Once we have root and can place action in system app, will have better google experience.

I have been using the stock pixel launcher but after rooting I decided to go back to nova beta. The latest update was from October 27th. I set up everything yesterday with nova but experienced very high battery drain. I was also using teslaunread with nova which I never used before. Does teslaunread cause severe battery drain or could have it been nova beta? Was wondering if anyone else experienced quick battery drain and/or wakelock that wouldn't let the phone sleep. I have switched back to stock pixel launcher for the time being.
I believe the swipe left for Google now is an API restriction from Google. Not that the feature want included.

Sorry I forgot that those are the stock icons for Google messenger, phone and contacts, that's why the icons look different. I was browsing the theme store today but I didn't try installing anything.

No it's a ADB file you run after flashing the eng.kernel.img. It installs Super SU apk and sets the CPU and GPU to run like stock kernel settings.
Wherever you see the word hero change it to dream. Also wherever you see 935T change it to 955U

I'm trying to install the Google "Live Earth" (blue marble) wallpaper on my Pixel 2 XL. Every supposed port for the P2XL I've found either won't install or installs but stops running as soon as launched.

Those live wallpapers don't work on the P2XL. Tried the "Your World, Your Solar System" globe wallpaper, but it just stops the app. Most others I've found won't install at all.

Weird. They all are working fine for me... I switch between a few of them all the time. Google Wallpaper app in the Playstore. Your setup may be bugged. Oh, I use Nova exclusively if that makes a difference?
They are working fine on my Google Pixel 2 XL running Nova Launcher... This should not be a problem. Try reinstalling wallpaper app from playstore...
