After some manual update, i noticed that my model number now is "HUAWEI" and not "HUAWEI RIO-L01".
Could this be a problem, e.g for future updates?
Thanks

After ota update via usb with V20d-eur-xxx on v20e-eur-xxx can no longer via imei check your firmware version.
The phone is manufactured in Hungary, located in Serbia, and not sim lock.
With the old version v10e-eur-hp I update softvare with lg flash tool and everything was nice ok.Telefon and now works just do not understand why I can no longer get when I enter imei stock firmware version.
Updates before he was Suffix: A6HUTN ,and now is A6PSTN.
For now there are no bugs in the work, but to call it a small Bags is that when I enter the mobile Networks menu loaded 3-4 sec, and this happens after update V20A. Why?
So, do you have any problems with phone or ?
It is normal to take few seconds to open network menu. I have that also.

I have no problem with the phone, but I'm interested in why I can no longer unlock through to check the latest version of firmware.
That someone help me? :crying::crying::crying:
I found that my current suffix a6ps from macedonia, and before that was a6hu and that is because the phone is manufactured in Hungary.
Why does it happen and why sites like: devtester, lg-firmware-rom, lg-phone-firmware report IMEI is not valid or no firmware for my IMEI ????:crying:
Hi All,
mi brother has a Huawei Nova 2 Dual sim, model number PIC-LX9C432 having old firmware B130 and it has some "freeze" issues so i just wanted to updated the firmware and do a hard reset.
Checking embedded ota it says no update available, checking via firmware updater app the first firmware which passes the imei availability check is the B333 but the popup says "Firmware is approved for installation Models for installation: PIC-L29 8.0.0.333 (C432CUSTC432D1).
Simplest question ever:
Is it safe to install? shall i unlock the bootloader or since it's stock it will just work?
Thanks to anyone can help, i don't know huawei at all (always had only google or xiaomi devices).
Hi,
I bought a new S9 (SM-G960U) earlier this year, but it seems that I cannot update the device. It is running android 8.0 and the last security patch says September 1 2018.
When tab Settings > Software update > Download updates manually, it quickly says "software update: registering device" before stopped with the words "process failed" (I think. My device is in danish, not english).
The device is bought in Zimbabwe. This means the phone is most likely to be parallel imported from either the US or the UAE.
When I look up the model number (SM-G960U) it says it's an American model, but in settings -> about phone it displays an UAE TRA ID.
Other than the update issue, everything else seems to work fine.

That is my plan. Though I am not convinced the model number is correct, since the phone is telling me it is both US and UEA at the same time. Is that something to worry about?

I would like support with this issue since after updating the serial number was no longer shown in the settings. I have the EM model, and I already installed android 10 for this model in the hope of recovering the number, but it still does not show
