Best Buy Preorder's - Google Pixel XL Questions & Answers

Just curious if anyone who has ordered a Pixel or Pixel XL gotten their tracking info or any kind of update at all?
I preordered last week , (32gb Blk XL) , and when I check my status of the order, it still says "pre ordered" and nothing else. The free Chromecast shipped yesterday lol.
Really I'm just curious to see where everyone's best buy orders are at. Has anyone received theirs yet?

I ordered mine the same day it became available on bestbuy site and it still says "pre-ordered" next to status.

My chromecast shipped at 930pm so they've got about 2 hrs if they're following the same schedule with 2 day shipping as stated when I ordered.

They're probably slammed with people calling/messaging about it. I checked the automated system and it still says arrives by 10/20

Just checked again. Still showing "preordered." I mean, it wouldn't be the first phone I've ever preordered/purchased online that the shipping status never changed and still showed up on time, but it's still an uncomfortable feeling lol I'd rather know for sure.

I'm in the exact same boat here. Still in Pre-Ordered/Processing

I spoke to a BB rep yesterday around 5pm EST about my XL Silver 32 for the big V. He said that the pre-ordered status wont change until launch date but that the phone was still scheduled to arrive by the 20th. He said it should ship today (his timeline) or tomorrow to arrive but I wouldn't see tracking info until thursday. So....yeah....not sure how much I believe that lol

FWIW I spoke to a Best Buy rep over the phone, and she said that since the phone comes out 10/20 it cannot ship before then. She did not sound very knowledgeable, so take with a grain.

well congrats. Mine still says pending.

I'm now showing preparing as well. Seems none of the reps we talked to know what they're talking about. For what it's worth I ordered on the 5th around 9pm. Now lets see if they give me ground or overnight and hit the actual window they promised up front.

Back Ordered Samsung Cases Available on Provantage

Although the naming of the case on this site doesn't inspire confidence, I went by the part number and everywhere I've looked online the part number "EFC-1B1NBECXAR" pertains to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Leather Notebook Case.

Yes it is for the Retail version. I don't think they are making these for the 10.1v, but don't quote me on that. Mine better ship today! lol

+1. I read reviews saying they're slow with shipping, but this seems REALLY slow. I emailed them on the 13th asking the status of my order and got this response yesterday (16th)...not helpful at all

Last time they said something like that, the next message was that the order had been cancelled. That was because they never had the stock they sold in the first place.
Bastards. A lot of people got screwed over on that one.

My hopes are still up on this one. The fact that it sold out so quickly tells me that they had a fairly-decent cap on the number of purchases. I have ordered from them a number of times before and haven't had any bad experiences with them -- yes, they can be a tad slow sometimes, but they are usually fairly good about getting things processed and shipped. I (perhaps too optimistically) give them until the end of this business week before I start worrying.

It has been a bit under two weeks, not over two weeks. It has only been seven business days since the sale.
I vote we calm down, stop speculating, and count on the company to fulfill their commitments, albeit in a less-than-timely manner.

Hoping I'm OK and that I got in fast enough; the site still shows "100+" in stock, and my Paypal payment shows "completed". The order page just says "Your order will be processed soon. Our order processing team work 8am - 6pm weekdays." though, and it isn't clear what time zones that's for. (My order was charged by Paypal well before 6pm Central, and other things on the site mostly seem to reference Central time.)
Guess I'll find out tomorrow, but Corey, if you're around and feel like taking a weight off my mind, speak up! ;-)

It didn't say that earlier. My guess is they've sold out of their first 100+ units already, and don't expect to receive another shipment for four days.
It still said "100+" a full hour and a half after my order was placed, which was when I last checked, but they were out of stock an hour later apparently.

I don't believe you missed it. We just had a fraudster order batches of 100's til it quit showing stock. We have deleted those orders so it should be showing stock again very soon. The fraud attempts still amaze me.

Wow. That is just unreal. I'm surprised your system will even accept an order of that volume without requiring an override of some kind; that'd be getting on for US$70,000 per order!
On the plus side, this presumably means my own order must've been received while it was still in stock. You said they're supposed to ship tomorrow, and I got two-day shipping, so that means a phone by the weekend. Woo hoo!!! :-D

[Q] Samsung Upgrade Program UK for S9/S9+

Hello,
I am part of the Samsung Upgrade Program as of last year when I purchased the Galaxy S8/S8+ through it. However, those devices launched in April last year, and the S9/S9+ are now launching in essentially March. Does this mean we have to wait the additional month to be able to upgrade or will we be able to upgrade early so we will be able to get the device on the launch day of March 9th?

I had the the S7 Edge +, and upgraded it too last year to the S8+, I received an email with a link to go to to process the upgrade.
I've just spoken to the Samsung, on the phone, and they say the emails should be coming out soon.

1- Tweeted them asking how to upgrade
2- FB Messengered them, the same
3- Online Chat
Results So Far:
1-No Reply
2-No Reply
3-Call Sales team.
I would like a definitive answer as to when / how we can upgrade.
If I get anything I will of course post it here.

I keep all the bits ready to send back in the original box. And try and keep my phone in tip top condition. But I think all they ask is that the phone is in good working condition, with minimal wear.
Had no problem with sending back my S7+

I had actually messaged via Facebook last night before I saw this thread, the response I got was that they have changes to the eligibility period for the upgrade program and the only way to find out when you can upgrade is by calling the sales team. Calling centre is a horrible experience, it's just the same repeated message, 'it will take more than 5 minutes to answer your call'... yes I know I've been waiting for over 15 mins...
I have spoken with Samsung and the financial company about the upgrade programme as like you say the S8 was released less than a year ago. Samsung didn't seem to know how the upgrade programme worked and asked me to contact the financial company who stated that we could only upgrade after 12 months of starting the agreement with them, which for me was April 17 even though I got my S8 from pre order last year??
I still haven't heard anything through their facebook messenger and I did contact them last night

I preordered my s8+ however there was a mess up and I didn't get it until about 2 weeks after lainch, perhaps that's why I've been pushed back.

Where did you find your agreement number? It says 7 digits but mine show as 9xxxxx-001 or ref P4L-xxxxxxx (which doesn't work without the P4L either)

It was on an email I received from Close Brothers, 1XXXXXX-001 and just ignore the last 3 digits and dash.

I pre-ordered the OnePlus 8 Pro with 12 GB RAM + 256 GB Storage in UltraMarine Blue. Along with my pre-order I got OnePlus Bullets Wireless Earbuds and a OnePlus Warp Charge 30 WireLess Charger, both free. Apparently I was lucky to get my pre-order in early because I read that they sold out within 10 minutes. If the phone is as good as I expect it to be, I'll be selling my S20 Plus 5G on Swappa.
I couldn't get my order in the ridiculous OnePlus 2 minute online out of stock window...

So far the phone is blazing fast. That wireless charger is absolutely amazing. You can see a huge difference in the screen compared to the OP7 Pro, as well as overall speed. My phone was delivered yesterday (April 17th).
Well here's my launch day story...... After watching the launch day event, counting down the minutes, then seconds, on launch day, I ordered my first OnePlus device! This is, IMHO, the best, fastest, most advanced device ever created. I got the Ultramarine 12/256, wireless charger and ear buds and even included the 24 month extended warranty. Wow, was I excited! Unfortunately, it has turned into a nightmare. The order still shows "Transaction in Processing" after I was told by my bank the payment was canceled by OnePlus! Not only am I being told that I missed out on the launch day promotion, but I am not able to pay for the order still processing! I am really disappointed in the whole process and really hope OnePlus can fix this. I am sure items may be out of stock, but I am willing to wait as long as it takes to get this device. Please help! The op called it a pre-order so I went with it and i was on top of it, actual stock must have been really low...
Pre-ordered UltraMarine Blue 12/256. Excited as much as I was for the 6, 6T, 7Pro. A bit more pricey than usual (of course) but hopefully it's a justified increase.

Stay on them with this. If it were me I'd be arguing that I deserve the launch box (items at least) when this is worked out. No way would I rest until I got what I felt I deserved or they just flat out denied it continuously. Wish you the best here.
I managed to get mine yesterday, now I just have to be patient for development ?
I'm interested in buying a one plus 8 pro. I enjoy a crisp screen and a good camera. I like my pixel 4 xl but the screen seems dull.
Is anyone coming from a pixel 4 xl to the 8 pro? How are the camera images

This video shows what the latest update did for the camera. Hope this helps. I currently have p4xl should get my OP8 pro on Tuesday

Hey sorry for a bit off topic, but I've read different things regarding screen protector..... Is there a pre applied protector? Some people said there was a protector included in the paperwork, but not applied.

I'm debating doing the same thing. I think I'll need to see how good GCam is before I either order locally or get it shipped over here.

There are 2 in the box for the user to apply.

Scratch that, the 2 in the box aren't screen protectors. I'm talking to OP support and they said unless you add one to your order you only get a pre-applied one. Lucky for me, I also don't have a pre-applied one.

Oh wow that's a shame. With the pre applied one, we at least get time to find a good one like Whitestone dome, etc.
There wasn't one to order anyway. I get mine tomorrow so we'll see. Thanks for the update

You should all appreciate being abke to order and receive you 8 P outside of the US. Not only are we later without anything free stuff, we are having to deal with idiots working for OnePlus who don't know their A__ from a whole in the ground.
I tried both the chat online and calling on a phone. The latter didn't really know enough where and how to purchase over here, but the online people were total idiots.
A lot of it is beaning able to speak English - but not understand it. If they are going to sell now overpriced phones, I think it is reasonable to expect competent service. Compared to Samsung and others - they live on a different planet.
Sale date changed from 8 days away, to 2 days away!!
Exactly what version of the 8 Pro will we be getting - the global ?
Gotta love it. I love in NY. Shipped from NJ yesterday. For some reason it's in Tennessee now. WTF? Still says I'm supposed to get it tomorrow
