Hello friends,
I flash my s4 mini LTE to that info:
Android version: 6.0.1
CyanogenMod version: cm-13.0-20160418-SNAPSHOT-ZNH0EAO2NJ-serranoltexx
Baseband version: I9195XXUAMF5
Kernel version: 3.4.0-cyanogenmod-gaafcf07 [email protected] #1
1. Since the first day I saw that the NFC is not working.
2. I can count my apps on my two hands because of the ROM that took more than 3GB for the installion files (GAPPS not take so much as far as I know), the bottom line that I don't have enough free space, some numbers: when I connect my phone to laptop I can see that I have less than 100MB free space from 5.32 GB. As you all know the phone have 8GB memory.
When I had the stock ROM of samsung those problems wasn't take part of my day
I'm thinking to flash again to stock ROM-it will help? it will destroy the phone (return from 6 to 4)?
Any solutions?
Thank you for your time

Hello everyone
Currently i am using custom rom cm 13 (Android version 6.0.1 build date 20 may 2016) on GT-i9192
No doubt rom is good with really good features
But there is a issue with Android os it's eating too much data in background atleast half of data amount it eats whats i am downloading
suppose for every 100 mb file i download Android os is eating 40/50 mb as waste n total cost for 100mb download becomes more than 150mb
there was no issue on stock rom then why is happening on custom rom
I have searched in google for solution but not able to find correct solution
Do anyone have a solid solution for this
THANX IN ADVANCE
Hi
I've searched high and low for a marsmallow update for my device which is a G8 RIO-L01 device. After some time i found that Huawei made (at least) 4 different devices which are the 'G8 dual sim' and the 'G8 SD + sim' and then later the 'GX8 dual sim' and the 'GX8 SD + sim'.
I seem to have the 'G8 SD + sim' version (3GB RAM /32GB 'DISK').
Which, as of now, is equipped with the bone-stock EMUI 3.1 with build number RIO-L01C02B150 . (Custom version: CUSTC02D010, Kernel version 3.10.49-g0854d7b [email protected] #1 Mon Feb29 10:39:01 IST 2016)
Can anyone shed some light on the possibilities I have to start modding this device? - Can I go Marshmallow? - Which ROM to use?
I am somewhat technically savy, but this device has me stumped because of all the different versions and the lack of clarity (to me) therein. I never had any problems with my ZOPO 820+, my HTC Legend, LG-H440n, my Samsung Galaxy 1, ... I always found the conclusive info to root and mod them...
Thank you very much!
Sincerely

G8, GX8 and G7 Plus are basically names for the same phone based on hardware. There are 2 version: 2GB and 3GB, and 2 versions of each, single SIM or double SIM.
Regarding the software updates, is about the region you are. There are some RIO-L01, RIO-L02 and RIO-L03 variants according to the continent you are.
As long as your phone is the same model (RIO-L0x) for the update, you won't have any problem to install the update. Besides, if you try to install an update for a different phone version, you will just get an error message and that's all, nothing to worry about.

Thanks! I'm relieved and excited! Now the Hunt for a reliable ROM begins!
While they are similar phones there are small differences between that can make roms and updates problematic. An example is the RIO-L03 in the US, less ram and storage. It also isn't able to use any of the rom offerings that offer updates to emui. Even within the RIO-L01 family of devices there seems to be various glitches making it problematic to update out side the ota process. Good luck in your hunt but don't take the patented there all essentially the same line, if they really were there wouldn't be so many issues getting a stable non flickering rom made.

I'll proceed with caution then... The CM13 build seems to tick many boxes. But the lack of fingerprint-scanner support is holding me back...
I found unlocking the device to be pretty straight forward, along with rooting it. The CM rom doesn't interest me in the least mainly due to the nature of what it is ... a non native emui rom. I have numerous stock and rommed galaxy devices and htc's to enjoy the various flavors of android. it makes no sense to me to even get a device like this if your going to rom out the one mainly unique thing it has going for it.
With that said the screen flickering issue present for some [including me] when trying to flash the emui 4.0.1 update is frustrating, but so much so as to force me to remove the unique ui of the device. At least here in the US it is easy enough to nab a note 3 refurb for @200 bucks and run what ever version of android I would want, faster and with more bells and whistles
I got the device for Emui.
Well, I got this device because it was cheapish and offers great functionality for that price. And also because I read everywhere that the G8 is sheduled for the marshmallow update.
I've seen that many flavours of this device received an update to marshmallow, but mine hasn't. And I'm not entirely sure if I should be holding my breath now...
EMUI is indeed a great shell for android, but it wasn't my main pursuader.

Have you managed to install the Marshmallow ROM?
Hello guys,
A few days ago I've found my old M8 in a drawer. I thought that I might revive him with a new custom ROM that will fit my needs.
I'm planning to use this phone only in the car. I still have to decide if I will use it with a SIM card or I will set up a Hot Spot from my main phone.
The ROM that will best fit my needs:
GPS Navigation - Waze/Google Maps
Music - Youtube/Spotify
I don't need phone calls, sms, whatsapp, camera or anything else.
My phone runs on:
Android Version: 6.0
Htc Sense Version: 7.0
Kernel Version: [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT
PS: I also need a tutorial/how to set up the new ROM.
Best regards!
Hello. At the beginning, I apologize for my English but I support myself with translator :RE.
Which ones do you recommend the best rom for my equipment? I will depend on the speed of action and the elimination of the 1gb application memory limit. Mtu update?
I will be very grateful for link to the recommended rom.
My equipment is:
S07
MTCB-ZD-V2.79
ANDROID 4.4.4
rk3188
kernel 3.0.36+, [email protected] #1443
cpu ARM [email protected] (x4)
resolution 800*480
RAM 1024
Hello,
Having a very similar unit with only 1GB memory, I would advise keeping a 4.4.4 Android version. I have tried several 5.1 roms but they become all laggy after some usage time.

Thank you for the advice, I expected it. And what rom 4.4.4 do you use now? Which one of the best you've ever done? Have you updated mtu? Is it worth updating them or is it better to change and change only rom?
Try the malaysk 4.X version, it works for me ( with the same HU, only 1GB ) perfect, the 5.x is much slower on it
I’ve been trying to find a 4.4.4 rom for mine but I keep running into dead links. Do you know where I can find one please?

Hello,
The friend of mine bought Samsung S9+ that appears to be a clone. As he bought it from the random guy on the street, so there is no way of returning it back. Very unfortunate situation, but that’s the way it is.
And that is not the only issue – you can only install around ~100MB of apps, and when you try to install anything else, it shows that there is no free space.
In the Storage screen you can see:
Code:
Total space: 64.00GB
Available: 62.70GB
Apps (app data & media content): 1.00GB
Cached data: 800KB
Misc. 52.08KB
I am trying to help him, but so far I was not successful. Factory reset did not help. Then I thought that it would be possible to install apps to external sd card using link2sd, but device is not rooted (however Developer options are enabled by default). And since this is clone, I am not sure if there is an easy way to root it.
So, my questions:
1) Anyone has any ideas how more apps could be installed?
2) I have found a few more members who got clones instead of the original S9+. Were there any successful attempts to get root access?
Thank you
Details (although, knowing that it's a clone it may not mean anything):
Code:
Model Number: SM-G965F
Android version: 8.0
Baseband version: G9650XXU2AQI4
Kerner version: 8.188.14-11698590 [email protected] #1
Build number: MMB29K.G965FXXU0AQI5
SE for android status: Enforcing SEPF_SECMOBILE_8_0_0009
Security software version: ASKS v1.4 Release 161228
KNOX version: KNOX 2.8, Standard SDK 5.8.0, Premium SDK 2.8.0 <…>
Android security patch level: 1 July 2018

Yes, that's for sure. I am still wondering is it is possible to make it a little bit useful. Just to add - CPU-Z shows that it's MetiaTek MT6572 and internal storage is 2.79GB

Nope, no way to improve anything about it and not the right forum to discuss it either, you need to find out what is really inside it, or make a thread in a generic forum, it is not an S9
