Just for those who might be interested, I've confirmed with ZeroLemon that they will be making an extended battery for the LG V20.

Yaaasssss! I was just thinking about using my jump to get the v20 and I realized there's no way I can switch until there's a zerolemon! Or at least I know it's coming.
I've been using it for years. First with my note 2 and currently with my v10.
Thanks for the info!

I've been waiting for a well-specc'ed phone with a removable battery for a while now and think that the V20 may be the one (especially if someone puts a CM based ROM together for it).
Oh, just for proof :good:

I hope they create 2 types. One with 5000 and the other one with more. And that the 5000 one is slim so that i dont have to use an special backdoor. I think im going to email them myself to see if they can do that

I'm pretty sure 5000 will need a new back door. Otherwise the battery wouldn't really be 5000. Now, 3500, on the other hand, may fit without the need for a special back door.

You'd definitely still need a different back cover, but it wouldn't be a brick like the rest of ZeroLemon's battery. Mugen designs some nice extended batteries, but they're expensive.

Not too sure about zerolemon at this point.. they said they'd come out with a battery that'd fit the stock back cover with the G4, and they didn't
Here's hoping though!

I'd have to agree with you on this one, I don't see the point of having a powerful phone, with a good screen and wireless capabilities but being afraid to use it because the battery'll drain quickly.
I'd much rather have a thicker and heavier phone that'll let me beast the phone and not have it die.
I would also like a Zero Lemon I just hope this time they release a case other than black as the primary color so sick of black

Amen to that! And would it kill them to make a rugged case? It doesn't have to come with the battery. I'd happily buy it separately.

They do alas they are usually black. Boring boring black.
I've got one of the ZL solar 22mAh external batteries. They really do make some great accessories.
This is good to hear. Last time I waited maybe 2 months before ZeroLemon had the battery ready for the Note 4. I won't buy the LG V20 until the ZeroLemon battery is available.
PS: I'm on my 2nd ZeroLemon battery for the Note 4 now. 1st one started bulging early this spring (16 months) and replaced it last month. It swelled enough to start popping the screen off and the home button stopped working. I'm more careful with the 2nd battery. I never charge hot and never leave it charge over night, just enough until it's fully charged then off the charger.

Would need some proof of that, I cannot see a phone that has a removable back allowing enough pressure to pop a fixed screen out versus the back popping off.

Yep. I just fixed the GPS on my note 4 and it was pretty damn hard pushing the screen assembly out from the frame. Was very scared I was going to crack the amoled. Luckily I didn't and can't tell phone was taken apart. Home button works great still.

Just thought I would contribute my two cents. Like many others, I was disappointed (but expected as much) with the short battery life. I work 12 hour shifts on the weekends and it was a chore to keep charging the phone.
So I called to Verizon, complained and they tried to get me to go in the store and exchange the entire phone (because I wad in the 14 day period). I explained that I know that the battery is the issue, not the phone and explained to him a few things to prove I was tech savvy (plus, I didn't want to spend another two hours configuring another phone).
He said that the only replacement part he could send was the extended battery (which is what I wanted anyway). He sent it overnight free of charge (as it should be in the Thunderbolt's case).
I can honestly attest, after a week of use, that even with constant downloading/streaming, the battery does last my entire 12 hour shift without charging.
The only downside is the fact I can't find a case for my phone with an extended battery. (I'm sad that my Seido Innocase will probably be eBayed). HTC should at least had made a make shift case, anything that could serve as a barrier between my work hands or any table surface.
But oh well, I mainly gave up my N1 so that I could be grandfathered into Verizon's unlimited 4G network when tiers come out.
Hope this info helps.

I too have had the extended battery for about a week now and I am very happy with it. I work 10 hour days and I'm always near a car charger but I don't want to constantly have my phone charging. Like you said the only downside side is the lack of cases. I had to cut my phone case to make it usable.

Why not just buy 2 batteries? That thing is god awful looking... 2 batteries and a multi-charger unit = win.
This is for another thread, but the gist of it is once vz comes out with new tiered data plans (meaning 1/3/5/10 gb etc), the existing plan you are on will stay at the unlimited level.
ie: keeping your existing plan when it is no longer available is called being grandfathered.

In my opinion, I would rather get the extended battery instead of having an extra one. I for one, don't like opening and shutting the back plate of the phone so often. That is how it easily breaks......especially the tabs that hold the back plate.....IMHO...better off going with the extended battery!
This is a bad ass phone, i think the extended battery makes it look even more bad ass. Just my opinion.
I got this:

and with the extended battery, the front half fits fine:

I think the extra battery life that the extended battery provides outweighs the added weight/bulk. The battery definitely does add a lot of weight to the device though =/

Agree 1000%! The extra grip is key for me, because i generally drop my phones not super often but it does happen. I dig the extra bulk. Its really not that bad. Plus it works great. Gets me through all day. In fact, i purposely try to kill it at night because i wanna give it a good full charge while i sleep. So ill pull up angry birds and play for a while. Takes me a while to kill this thing, works great!

The phone's already so big and heavy (compared to anything I've been carrying the last couple of years), what's an extra 1/4" inch and 2 ounces...?
I was fairly critical of the extended battery until I bought one on Monday to see for myself the benefits vs costs (price in weight and bulk) of it. It's definitely big, ugly, and doesn't help me grip the phone any better (makes it worse for me), but after getting 31 hours (with heavy use for me) off my first charge, I decided I could put up with it. Today I'm down to 82% after 7 hours of moderate use, so looking to get about the same drain as original test.
The Thunderbolt will be my pickup truck; big, ugly, utilitarian, but gets the job done in all conditions...my Nexus S will remain the sports car; sleek, sexy, light-weight, gorgeous to look at. Everyone should have one of each! LOL

I charged my extended battery to full and took it out and placed my fully charged standard battery in and I believe it increased the battery time on it. It's lasting twice as long.... So I decided to purchase an extended battery for the Galaxy Nexus since the original (1750 mAH) battery didn't really live up to my expectations. The original battery gave decent battery life and kept the thickness of the phone to a minimum.
After receiving the battery from ebay member: mulkin, I had inspected the battery and confirmed that it was indeed the "official" extended battery for the GSM model.
I wasn't expecting the battery to come in a couple days since it was coming from South Korea, but it did take less than a week to get here to South California. Packaging was very nice and kept the battery and back cover well protected.

The extended battery cover that was included with the extended battery still has the same texture as the original. The phone also feels better with the new battery cover. The slight thickness it adds still maintains the phones low profile. The only thing it loses is the slight curve of the original battery cover right above the rear speaker. NFC works perfectly and isn't affected at all, it also works well if your using the stock battery with the extended back cover.
Overall, I am happy with the product. Battery life has definitely improved over the couple days I was using it. I am going to attach screenshots of the battery life I am getting, as well as pictures of the extended battery on the phone soon. If you have any questions, just leave a comment.
Thanks.
Thank you for the review with pictures. I have the battery as well, there is a existing thread in regards to this topic to anyone who wants additional information about this battery before making a purchase.
I personally purchased mines from shimshop.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Sam...Accessories&hash=item1c222d0cea#ht_4976wt_905
Also genuine, ~$36 ships from South Korea.. takes about 1.5 weeks. Negri also sells this battery as well but it's ~$50.

Thanks for posting this. I was also surprised how quickly this was shipped in from South Korea (to Montreal, CA).
Also, FWIW, my Otterbox Commuter and SGP Ultra Capsules fit perfectly with the new battery door and larger battery.
And to throw this out there, you can easily get through 24 hours of casual to moderate usage on this thing... And for heavy days, I reach 4 hours of screen on time with ~25-30% remaining (@12 hours unplugged).
Now to find a white extended battery door.

Could you tell me if the new battery cover has any gap to the actual phone, by that I mean... does it fit the phone perfectly or does it make any noise when pushing on it?

take a look at here, http://www.expansys-usa.com/samsung-extended-battery-and-cover-for-gsm-galaxy-nexus-226962/
Only 4 hours on screen time? I average over 5 on mobile data with mine, pre 404. I need to do a rundown test to see how much now, probably closer to 6 hours. I do have auto brightness on though. The mah difference isn't huge, but I'll take all I can get and if it even gives a half hour more screen time then its worth it. Feels better in the hand too.

I've done some research and it looks like the extra 250 mah will give you about a 14% boost in battery life. So, imagine as if you start out with ~114% battery life, as oppose to ~100%.
Hm... still undecided if that's worth the extra $36 and slight thickness added to the phone...

Both will give you about 80% of the capacity they put on the label. Everyone else will give you much less than that, 70% tops, and often half or less.
I think these cheapo $10 3800 extended batteries on ebay are pretty good if you come in with the right expectations.
Yes, we know they aren't 3800, and are closer to 3000, but that still gets you about 1000mah more than the stock battery.
Yes, they lose their capacity over time more quickly than a genuine battery, but you should treat these types of batteries as disposable.
Buy one for $10, use it for 6 months and then buy another one.

The only thing that keeps me away from buying them is that batteries, in a general way, are pretty dangerous for the environment, specially cheap ones. And I wouldn't like to make that kind of waste buying several batteries.

Could I trouble someone to measure the thickness of the Seidio 3500 for GSM? Looking to get one, but want to see if I can do a little modding to fit it in a case without using that unsightly back door. From the comparison pic above, it seems to be a hair over double the thickness of stock battery. Correct?
Hey fellas,
Ive been lucky enough for Anker to send me a 4400mah battery to test and review for you guys. I've used their batteries ever since the Sensation days and I actually have a 2200mah anker for a spare on the S3. They sent me a Pebble Blue back cover as they do not produce the white one yet. I have a two toned S3 hahah. I just wanted to post pics to give you guys an idea. I will be draing the battery today as it came with 57% out of the box. I will give it its first run tomorrow during my work day. Here are the pics, I will be posting 1st run results tomorrow then for the next few days after that. These batteries usually get better after a few cycles. The phone feels good in the hand, not too big. I just ordered one of those TPU extended battery cases to protect the phone while I am using the Extended Anker. Stay tune for some numbers and updates! Thanks!
Im supposed to get one too for reviewing. But you beat me to it

Forgot to add that it does not say NFC anywhere on the battery. I did go into settings and the NFC box still could be checked. I don't know if this battery has it as I do not use NFC. I'll contact Anker to make sure.

No NFC, jonathan confirmed it. Though i made some recommendations to them to have an option for it with a different price point. hopefully they hear me. Price for this one is about $19.99, i think that's pretty good with that price

UPDATE: 8-14 LATER IN THE DAY, SAME SETTINGS! I'm gonna keep WiFi off at home to see if I can kill the battery and post when it runs out.
8-15: Battery made it through the night. I did not turn WiFi at all on this first day of testing. I will do a second test on the second full charge tomorrow. So far I am impressed! 5 hours of screen time! Hawt Damn
Do you know how much thicker this makes the phone ? I am wondering what kind of case would fit this and also if it would still fit in a car holder.
Just double the size of the battery. Look at the pic I posted of the side view. I actually ordered a TPU case for extended batteries, should get here in a couple days. I'll post when I receive it.

Hello. Any updates on this bat? How it's going on so far? Regards.
I have had this battery for few days.
Medium use - online quite a lot, bluetooth always on, brightness on high auto. Same usage on my old S2 with 2100mAh would have critical warning by about 6pm on day 1.

I just checked Ebay for this for my Sprint. S3. They list AT&T and Tmobile but not Sprint. Will either of those fit my Sprint s3? Or should i just contact the seller?
Thanks in advance,

Not quite... the Korean market S3 (SHV-E210) uses a different battery than the international / US version. Also the Korean market Samsung Flip Cover will not fit properly on the international / US version. The curvature or thickness of the units are ever so slightly different, so the back plate will not click securely into place on the international / US handset.
But if you don't include the Korean S3 model, then I believe you'd basically be correct.
It probably doesn't affect most people on this forum, but it's a significant exception to the rule that should be noted.
With heavy brightness.

I'm just worried about the fitment and how the white case will age.
Just ordered it in white. I'll take some pics and do a short review when it arrives. Estimated delivery is this Thursday.
It would be amazing to have that much battery, but I don't want to lose the Qi charging. I use Qi at home each night or at work if I skip the night charge.
If there was an extended battery that came with a replacement door with Qi built in, I would likely jump all over it.

I could probably retrofit the charging coils from the folio cover to the back of the Zero Lemon case but that would take forever to charge. Does anyone know how long it takes to charge the stock 3140mah battery from dead to 100% using Qi?
Mine finally came in the mail after 4 business days. My initial impressions are that the phone is pretty big now and the extra heft makes it even harder to wrap your hand around the device for one handed use but it's doable. The buttons are very easy to press with the included case wrapping the phone which is a relief, however the case itself seems to have a slightly too loose fit for my taste. I just got done charging the phone up from about 65% to 100% (which took around 1:45). I know the manual, back of the battery and the included business / please rate us 5 stars on Amazon card (which all came in a nice zip-lock type bag inside a bubble padded envelope) say to charge the device for 5+ hours but It's been at 100% for 45 minutes now and the voltage has steadied around 4.3V. I'll be sure to update this post after I get some test data.

I'm surprised no one talks about the weight of the battery because the without it is so light
I wonder we can gain lightness by changing the battery
I also would have bought the battery if it could charge wirelessly. I love being able to just drop it on my nightstand at night and when I am in my office just set it down to charge.
Mines should arrive tomorrow. Anxious to get these charge cycles going. Also ordered a leather holster case that's super sized and should fit this phone with its extended battery.
Can someone post a comparison pix of stock thickness vs. One with extended zero lemon battery?

Its huge..lol but I expected that. I had the 7200mAh one for Galaxy S3. So I'm use to the extra weight & thickness.
The tradeoff will be worth it. Ive barely used my galaxy note 10.1 since I got this phone. Or my Nexus7. Its really like a mini tablet. Last night I ordered me some HD screen protectors & a universal camera lens kit(fish eye, macro, wide angle).
It arrived today! I like the black tpu case it came with. Plus I like the extra weight. It feels more secure now and not slippery. For my type of heavy usage, this battery is exactly what I needed. Time to charge this up.
