Just updated from PG5. Got ALways on DIsplay new feature from Note 7 such as: changing content, style, clock, time settings. However, whenever I turn on Always On Display my battery drain really fast. Any solution for this problem? I'm using G930V from Verizon.
You don't have to flash the new update to get the new AOD. It's an update through Galaxy Apps.
Now you're stuck on APH1.

Agreed. Could never get U firmware to work, signal issues for some reason, and not likely we will get custom recovery for earlier versions before I get a new phone.

Does it launch in portrait or landscape mode? When I launch the SiriusXM app it forces into landscape (even when holding portrait).
After Logging In, Downloading Channel Updates & Logos it crashes. I hit 'Report' after crashing to hope the developer notices the 4.1 JB Nexus 7 errors are building-up.

Hi all -
Our app currently only supports Android phones. However, there are a handful of tablets our app does work on. We are working towards our next release which will include several new tablets.
Sorry, we don't have a release date to provide you at the moment.
Hope this helps,

A couple of issues
1. When I make a call and try to hang it up before the other person answers, the screen says hanging up, and the call continues, and there is no way to hang up the call then.

If you haven't already tried wispoffates mentioned in the cm11 thread he was able to reset them and it worked. I'm not sure if he meant just for data or both data and calls and I'm also not sure how he did it. In cm11 you just hit menu then hit restore apns but I haven't had a chance to install this yet so I don't really know. Good luck!

Very slick and fast! Keyboard needed to be manually selected. Haven't tried GPS yet but all Google play updates and audio working great.
Thumbs up!!
Been using this rom for about 2 hours and seems pretty solid for such an early build. Had a hiccups when scrolling through notifications (had to start scrolling at the top of the notification stack or the pull down settings would come down) and the back camera doesn't work. Keyboard wasn't enabled on initial startup. So far so good though.
Just wanted to say thanks to all involved for making this ROM, keeping my Note II viable will donate soon.
I deleted some system apps with root explorer, but im still getting fc's from those apps. What did i miss?
edit: clearing cache in recovery fixes it
Thank You!
I installed this Rom yesterday and i just wanted to thank you for giving my old L900 new life again! although this is beta im quite pleased with this rom. Thank you for all your hard work and making me keep my note 2 for a bit longer! Cant wait to see how this Rom progresses its solid already in my eyes :good:
Camera
Rear camera doesn't work. Anyone have the same issue? Sorry if I missed that in the posts somehow.
So far so good! I'm loving it. And I usually don't like black on white... For some reason I'm sticking with... Guess cause its 5.Zero!!!

Reporting my issues
Data and wifi work just fine for me. Whenever I give lolipop a try whether it is this rom or cm12 I don't get gps, but as soon as I put liquidsmooth 4.4.4 back on gps is fine.
I got the specific version of shift kernel posted earlier working. If I try getting shift kernel linked in the rom settings i get the black screen issue.
I'm not sure if this is an issue. I was listening to pandora and it was working fine. Then I took my phone out to text someone and as soon as I opened hangouts pandora paused. So, I got out of hangouts and Pandora started working agian. I thought . . . I will figure this one out later. Then I turned the screen off and was going to put it in my pocket, but pandora paused again.
Anyways, thanks for the work you have done to keep Note 2 going. I enjoy everything you put out.

Low in-call volume in most ROM's flashed?!?!?
Has anyone else had a problem with hearing the person ur trying to talk at during a call? Seems like most ROM's I have tested on my device (Sprint Note II), aside from the Dirty Unicorn 4.4.4, have had this problem. I am currently trying out CyanideL version 5.0.2-RC-7.1-l900 with same low in-call volume. Everything else seems to be working well with the ROM. If there is a fix for this, or a way to increase the volume that I have not found, please let me know. This is the biggest reason I keep switching ROM's. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Streaming Music
Hey jlmancuso,
I don't know if I can quote you because I have less than 10 posts. Streaming music seems to be fine right now. There are a couple variables at play:
First I started over. I wiped and reflashed. I have no idea if I did anything differently from the first time I wiped and flashed . . . so can't say if this is it or not.
Don't know enough about messing with kernels, but I have been playing around with the shift kernel. Originally I was using shift tools, but saw that you were saying that is a work in progress. I was using shift tools before I reflashed. Now, I am using STweaks after reflashing. With the current kernel settings I am not having any issues. . .
Is it possible that kernel settings could effect the music streaming issue I had?

I just came off CM12. There has been a glitch, that is widespread and never resolved. You have to turn the volume down a notch, and then back up. When doing this, it fixes the issue. You have to do it on ever call.
Don't have to on Bluetooth, but when holding to your ear. I can't remember if its a factor on speaker.
Down, then up. On the volume. Each call.

For in call volume flash the aosp fix from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=57026975 not only does it fix the volume issue it also enables a stereo audio output.
Now the pic stuff is related to cm's mms.apk. A third party app is the best way around it.

If you haven't done it yet flash the shift kernel. It is the only kernel I have used with the rom and didn't have camera issues.

The purpose of this thread will be to allow the OP of NSeven ROM to be cleaned up. Bugs and problems will be posted here along with any fixes or answers. As always, the goal is to help each other make this the most stable ROM for the Note 4. I will do my best to go through the OP and pull out each concern and the fix, or the best answer.
Alright folks, I received an update from @chevyrhoads, here is a link to the new website and build of NSeven!
https://chevyrhoads.wixsite.com/nseven
We will still use this thread for issues and troubleshooting.

Google Duo, no audio for me. I can be heard but can't hear the other end. That is all.
I've noticed that if I flash and nothing else, it runs hot and has huge battery drain. If I then flash xceed kernel it runs cooler with less drain, but I lose root. If I then flash supersu I regain root but again have high temps and battery drain. Think I'll go back to build 2 until this is sorted out.
Does this rom has fast charger? And how I can get rid of the New version of exposed installer is available?

Russo fast charger?
There are not 3minute battery mod That works with this rom?
I'm on version 3.5. All is working well except my apps will not update via Google play. Error code 419. I take it it's the same Play services bug the good folks are working on. I am very grateful for their work.
V4 is awesome all around. Google Duo works, YouTube doesn't lag, Playstore works, no battery drain. Great work Chevy!

Setting, wallpapers and themes.. From there you choose where you want the wallpaper or picture.
Few non important issues, they I'm wondering if anyone figured out.
One being the screen overlay stuff? Can't edit some permissions due to screen overlay?
Another is the connected to network name'' [email protected]#$ '' or something.
Think that's it, just minor cosmetic ones I can't get to go away that are messing with my OCD.

I have tried to use the Amazon Prime Video app from the Samsung Galaxy App store, and I can't get to the sign in page. The screen is black with a green button that displays on the bottom for about one second, then immediately goes white, and no other input is possible? Does this app have root checking on it?
This happens on build 2 and 3. Has anyone tried this app on build 4? I haven't upgraded yet.
Great rom! Thank you chevy, we are all so grateful. It's buttery smooth and overall amazing how you accomplished this rom.
The only issue I've have encountered is with android auto and my 2016 civic. I've tried multiple cables, multiple versions of AA (AA still works on my other phones moto G4 and moto e), but can't get it to work with my note 4 running this rom. Anybody have any ideas? Thank you.
Edit: solved thanks to LumberjackZac
"First you have to have Android auto installed from the play store and open it up. It does a bunch of updates and BS then when you connect your phone via USB cable, go to NSeven settings, USB and hardware then set the USB connection to mtp for Android auto to recognize your phone"
The main Rom thread has been shut down??? What's up..

Yesterday I applied to current upgrade with OneUI to my non LTE 46mm GW. All worked fine. After that I got a notification that several watch apps need updating.
Updating was succesful for majority of them, save Samsung Health. Even after multiple tries, the update fails. Phone downloads the app, starts sending it to the watch but then I get a notification that the watch is disconnected a app installation fails.
I have tried:
- rebooting the watch
- clearing cache and data of the galaxy wear app
- made sure there is plenty space on the watch
With no luck....
Any ideas, or suggestions?
Btw, the phone is a non-samsung one, OnePlus 5t.
Same issue
I have the same problem with Honor 10
same here with A800 bt and galaxy s10+

Is this a newer update than the original oneUI one? I'm asking because I previosly had the R800XXU1CSD6 installed and had to rollback due to miserable battery life. I also encountered the issue described here with updating S Health. Your initial post doesn't provide many details as to what that update contains. So this is why I'm asking, is it a more recent build that contains oneUI and also some fixes? And is it also suitable for the R800 46MM BT only?

I'm not sure what that is. Is R800XXU1CSE1 a different build for the oneUI update? I currently rolled back to R800XXU1BSA4 and everything is back to normal. What is the difference between these two and do you think it is possible to have oneUI without battery life being crap?

My battery life is good. No issue with installing apps into watch. Some app failed to install the first time, but after clicking it again, it installed to the watch. Maybe people should try clicking it a few times

I clicked it tens of times. I don't think you'll find complete tech noobs here, we're on XDA after all. I'm assuming they had different builds for either regions or variations of the watch (R800, R805, R810) and people that had more success with the update are on a different build than the ones with issues. For example I had R800XXU1CSD6 come as an OTA update and it killed my battery life, I couldn't install the S Health update and the watch was much slower than before. I flashed the previous version of the software and everything went back to normal. So it's clearly a software / build issue.

You should wait for CSE1 update which I'm having now. Good battery life and no issue with installing apps.
