Forgot Xperia S PIN - No Recovery was set either - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi, I just took out this old Xperia S of mine to refresh some memories only to find I have forgotten the PIN. Trying 5 incorrect PIN codes only triggers the 30 seconds wait with no Forgot Password option. It appears that I had not set the Recovery mode as well so I can'rt use that avenue. The only thing I can do from my Gmail account is to just send play the ringtone. I was wondering if I flash a newer firmware as explained here, do you think it will reset my password without deleting my pictures or music etc? Or do you think if there is any alternative way? I am also not sure if the debug mode is on.

**Pattern unlock ** FIXED email address only prior to @ sign

Hi guys, my little one was playing with phone and has locked my phone after doing the pattern unlock. Dont know how many times she has done it.
It is now saying unlock using email address.
I have done the following:
If you have forgotten the screen unlock pattern, you have up to five attempts to try and unlock your phone. If this fails, you can unlock your phone by entering your Google Account user name and password.
1. On the unlock screen, attempt to enter your unlock pattern five times.
2. When prompted to wait for 30 seconds, tap OK.
3. If the display goes off, press the POWER button to turn the display back on, and then press the bar on the lock screen and slide your finger down to unlock the screen.
4. Tap the Forgot Pattern button in the lower right corner when it appears.
5. Enter your Google Account name and password, and then tap Sign in.
When i do this it just says invalid username and password, just does not let me go past that screen i can still receive calls which is good for now.
I have tried turning phone off still same thing.
I dont know wat to do now to gain access to my phone. Only had it 2 days.
I have been online to make sure my email address and passwrod are correct and the gmail address is correct. Could it be a different address, as the only other address i use aint working either.
My internet connection is disabled too, am i totally fecked or can someone please advise best way. MANAGED TO GET INTERNET CONNECTED using hold power button still no good.
Thanks and fast reply would help majorly.
Nad
Re: **major screw up help pls**
when you have the login with Google account screen, put your Google mail address in as normally and for the password type "null"
excluding ""
give that a go. it will mean you won't need to reset your phone.
You can hard reset the phone (starts the phone like new - will delete all user prefs and apps contacts etc) and will return it to the state it is in when it's new
Turn the phone off
Hold down VolDown and turn the phone on by pressing the Power Button (keep holding VolDown)
Follow the onscreen instructions to wipe your phone

The only time I know of when you have to use @ in a Google login is if you are using a Google apps account with your own domain, otherwise it is always just your username.

Uhm.. Perhaps you could try adb from a PC and do "adb reboot recovery" and then wipe your phone to default?

If I remember correctly it doesnt work.
But you could flash the 3 button fix - thats a start and maybe ypu can reflash it or something (no idea if it works).
use search function next time, and dont make post in development... its all in the STICKY!
Try to put your gmail login info from all different gmail account you have.
Also try this. Take out battery>wait for 3 hours > but the battery back > press power button for 20 seconds (This method was listed by one guy on other forum).
One guy also mentioned this method.
AGAIN ITS the lamest thing you could ever think of, anyway heres how it goes,
1) Log in to your google account on your pc, the same account you registered for your phone
2) After logging in look at the top right corner of your inbox/email page, it would say your google username. Like say if you name is John, and you have a google id thats registered to your galaxy s as ,[email protected] Now this google id on the top right corner of the page would be displayed [email protected]
3) Type in the google id, thats visible on the right hand top corner of your page ([email protected]) into your galaxy s handset locked page, and type in the password.
TADA AND YOUR ON TO THE NEW SCREEN TELLING YOU TO PUT IN ANOTHER PATTERN.
Thanks
Zoh
If you cant login by computer then go here
HTML Code:
https://www.google.com/accounts/recovery
...And if you don't remember your secret (recovery) question then try the following method (check the link)
EDIT: you can also try this (very helpful to lot of ppl with the same problem) http://www.docstoc.com/docs/39761478...d---Locked-Out
Any way try all the methods and let me know if it works...BEST OF LUCK
or try recover mode and wipe all data
or try
this solution is with thanks to another person on another site...
You need a WiFi connection available for this to work!
1) Call your phone from a different phone.
2) Answer the call. While still connected...
3) Hit the BACK button on the phone (the arrow softkey)
4)This takes you to the home screen (it might take a few attempts, it depends on your timing. It took me 4 attempts)
5)Drag down your notifications bar and turn the WiFi on if it isn't already.
6)Close the notifications bar then hit the MENU softkey, select Settings then "Accounts and sync".
7)Click "Add Account" and select Google.
8)Sign up for a new google account as normal.
9)When the signup process is complete (and it must successfully create an account) you can hang up the call. (Do not sync the accounts)
10)Now when the phone asks you to unlock it using google credentials, use the ones from the account you just created. It will now ask you for a new security pattern, then for the same pattern again to verify.
11)Once you are back into the phone, turn off this "feature" until Google release a fix for the bug.
12)You can now delete the "false" google account which you just created from the phone. You should log into google and delete it from there too really.
13)Now reboot your phone. When the phone starts up and it still says "Phone Locked" don't panic!, Just drag the screen out of the way to unlock the phone, just like you did before you activated the pattern security.
Let's hope the guy remembers his google account details.
Seriously though, if you are not going to be able remember your combination lock..... why make it so complicated in the first place?
Thanks for the copy and paste, yeah I've tried all that, I was just after an opinion from the experts.
But doesn't look like I'm going to get one.
No probs, I'll just get my customer to send out back to service centre.
Tony.

[Q] (HELP) GoLocker locked out of my Xperia Play

Hello, I am new here obviously but I need a little of your help please.
I have a Xperia Play (I think it was rooted, because my friend rooted it with something - I have no idea how to root), and last night I downloaded the GO Launcher and Go Locker to have a "change" in my phone home screen and lock screen, for something new, I guess?
Anyway, I set my gesture as a password in Go Locker, and the pop-up message was "Do you want us to email you an photo of your gesture in case if you forget", I obviously accepted and they emailed me.
When everything was all set, I am happy with my phone using Go Launch system. Then right on the next day, I entered my gesture as what I entered last night, it said it is wrong. I did it again and again and again, still wrong. I was shocked thinking that the gesture must have changed or whatever overnight that I have no idea about.
Anyway, this morning (now), I tried to plug in the mass media to my phone so I can check the files, I got in even though my phone is locked out but I tried to find the GoLocker file.
I found it, but I am not sure if it is the actual file because it is full of themes plugin and the numbers from 0 to 17 as a file itself. I thought if I'd delete the Go Locker file itself, and restart my phone - it would be gone.
But I am still unsure if I should or not. So I checked AppData, but there are no files. I am a computer-freak on the Windows 7 but I have no idea what to do in Android system.
Where do they save the GoLocker files so I can delete it?
Oh! Just realised, speaking of the GoLocker photo email, I checked my email account, there is an email yes but there is NO photo attachment or whatever. It just said "If forget your gesture, click on the attachment to see it" ... lol? There are no attachments.
I am quite shocked when it happened, because it shouldn't happen at all.
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.
I would suggest removing go locker from your phone temporarily, by setting up ADB on your computer, plugging your phone in, and typing this command:
adb rm data/app/com.jiubang.goscreenlock-1.apk
If that doesn't work, I'm not sure how to help...

ADB? Can you explain what ADB is?
I tried to access data/app, but it won't allow me for some reasons I don't know why.
Temporarily, what do you mean of that? That means in few days time, it will come back and lock again?
You've got 2 threads going on the smae thing : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23934132#post23934132

Forgot SIM Lock PIN and a short problem with my Gmail (Sony Xperia T2 Ultra)

First of all, this is my first post in XDA so I'm really not sure if this is the right topic place thingy... Sorry.
I had bought this Sony Xperia T2 Ultra like around 2 years back. And had configured a SIM Pin and all the security thingies, etc immediately because my last android was stolen :3
I never needed to use it though but now a friend of mine's phone got stolen, thus I became more alert and wanted to set up a SIM Lock PIN (I had totally forgot that I even had a PIN before). So when I try to put a new SIM PIN, I found out that there is already a PIN set up and thus I try to guess what PIN I could've set. I had three tries, I lost 2 of them and now I just got only one try. I'm scared to guess again, because if my phone gets locked and I never remember the PIN, then it's gon' be a big problem for me. I don't want to format the phone or anything because I've got important documents on my phone, and lots of apps. It's going to be a nuisance. Let me clear that the phone does belong to ME, I even have the bill and everything. I just want to recover the PIN or change it in some way without having to format my phone.
2nd is probably a small issue but I'm having a problem with my Gmail. See, my ex-girlfriend's android and my android had all the google services linked up to my gmail. Including the Gmail app that I use my Facebook with. It still was the same way after we had broken up and I didn't had the "gmail app logged in" in mind. A few days back, my Facebook account was hacked and random thingies were posted from my account. I'm guessing she probably used the forgot password option in FB and used the gmail app to change my password. I recovered my FB, and then immediately changed my gmail password, used the "log out from all google services" in the gmail website. But I was just checking my laptop, and I can see that the gmail is still logged in automatically on my laptop whenever I open the website. So I'm thinking maybe it's still logged in her gmail app too. Can someone help me out with this too? :3
Thanks a lot in advance ! :highfive:

Locked Out Of My Phone

My 14 month old daughter got a hold of my phone and the fingerprint scanner asked me for my backup password. I proceeded to enter my password of 25 years and it told me i was wrong, it then gave me the option to use my gmail account to verify and unlock, i did that got in and replaced fingerprint with password protection. so here i am thinking everything is great, wrong. phone locks and i put in my password that i just changed it to and it tells me im wrong and now it does not give me the option to verify with my gmail account. Ive tried searching how to get into phone, suggestions were Android device manager which only locks phone and when i tried to change the password it said my phone was already locked and that the password would not be used. so the other suggestion was Samsung Find my Mobile but i have never set up a Samsung account. woe is me. Besides a master reset is there anything i can try? Thanks for all the help.
