Hey so I am also stuck at the "fastboot oem rebootRUU" section (S-OFF comprehensive method for Droid Incredible 2), my phone boots up to the black screen with the silver "HTC" and then just sits there... is that what it is supposed to do, or should something else happen? If that is what it is supposed to do; as soon as this HTC screen pops up I'm clear to run the flash command... or... ?
Thanks!!

it is supposed to do so, follow the commands above and flash the firmware then reboot the phone
Yes its supposed to stay on the black screen. You just run the fastboot command stated previously to flash the firmware.
If it fails. Any command after it will usually also fail (bootloader sucks)
Reboot and try again

Can you go in bootloader turn off the phone press volume down +power button then connect the phone to a computer. And I think you are in the wrong forum because I am sure your phone is not ONE X because I dont remember ONE X to have radio like this androidboot.baseband=1.11.50.05.28
Hi guys,
I have had my HTC One X for over a year and love it. (This handset was a warranty replacement by Vodafone as the original failed on me!)
At the weekend the handset crashed (just froze when I had an app open), I left it for a while and then after 5 mins of waiting gave up and did a reset (Volume down and power for 10 seconds).
Since then it has been stuck in a loop with opening to just the bootloader.
It now also turns on as soon as connected to charge! Therefore to get any charge into the handset I am currently running the charging script via ADB:
@echo off
:start
fastboot getvar battery-voltage
fastboot reboot-bootloader
ping /n 6 localhost >nul
goto start
I have read plenty of pages on here, so know what I should be doing (correct me if I'm wrong):
1. Unlock the Bootloader
2. Flash a recovery eg. Philz
3. Flash new ROM to restore handset to working operation.
I have tired both drivers suggested by people here and drivers from the HTC website both seem to allow my PC to talk to the handset via ADB and Fastboot.
My problem comes in that I cannot unlock the bootloader! I have tried at least 20 times to no avail! I have tried both getting new unlock_code.bin files from HTC to no luck. (One thing I have noted is that every time I get the handset to generate a request code its different, is this normal?)
The process I have tried is:
c:\HTC>fastboot oem get_identifier_token

Are you sere you send the right Unlocktoken to htcdev? If yes I don't have idea what is wrong.
Backstory
Phone: HTC One M9 - Sprint
About a month ago an OTA update was pushed about. When the phone rebooted, it would repeatedly reboot. Eventually it would come to some screen asking for a PIN to undo some encryption. No encryption had ever been enabled on the phone. Switched to another phone and am now attempting to try and get this phone back working.
Current State
Phone boots to a screen that has a white background and says:
Code:
*** Software status: Official ***
*** Locked ***
*** S-ON ***
REBOOT
REBOOT TO BOOTLOADER
BOOT TO DOWNLOAD MODE
BOOT TO RECOVERY MODE
POWER DOWN
DOWNLOAD MODE say it fails and RECOVERY MODE says:
Code:
Failed to boot to recovery mode
Press volume up or down to back to menu
This build is for
development purposes only
Do not distribute outside of HTC
without HTC's written permission.
Failure to comply may

I downloaded RUU_HIMA_WHL_M60_SENSE70_SPCS_MR_Sprint_WWE_3.41.651.13.exe from HTC's page. When I ran it, it said the phone was under 30% battery. I hooked the phone up to a charger for a few hours and tried again with the same result.
I was looking for a way to bypass the battery check and just saw information regarding fastboot. I pulled the rom.zip file from HTC's RUU.
When I attempt to flash the phone with fastboot, it does this and hangs:
Code:
htc_fastboot v3.0.9.2 (2015-05-29)
target rom version: 3.41.651.13
found large-zip header, file count: 8
processing file 1/8...
sending 'zip' (88841 KB)...
I ran fastboot getvar all and it returns:
Code:
(bootloader) version:0.5
(bootloader) variant:MTP eMMC
(bootloader) secure:yes
(bootloader) version-baseband:
(bootloader) version-bootloader:

all:

Also if I check getvar for battery-voltage, cid, or mid, the result is blank.
Any help in resolving this is much appreciated.
hello gyies i have a problem i have an htc m9 witch has a bootloop. the device is s-on stock without unlocked bootloader. the phone stucks on htc logo. can anybody help ;; i tried zo unlock the bootloader but it does not recognize the phone. htc driver tools works. sdk tools works but i stuck in daemon wenn i press the command adb devices
I have the same problem
Same problem. My HTC M9 stucks at Gray/Black HTC logo and then it reboots. If I press (Vol+)+(Vol-) I go to Bootloader screen (white screen + multi-colored font). If I try to go to Download or Recovery modes it returns to the loop. I've S-On, Bootloader Unlocked and the software status appears as "Modified". In fact, I've got this problem while installing an update and the cellphone rebooted to finish the installation (that's why its software status is Modified, I think). I used to have Android 7.0 and my M9 is an asiatic version.
Is there a way to save my HTC??
Thanks a lot!

I flashed a wrong rom
Which rom? How did u make this ?
Hi! I'm in a similar situation here! I wanted to flash a retail firmware of the XT1676 for my little brother's phone, he just forgot to tell me he had just updated it and so the firmware/rom I flashed was an old update (dating back to February if I'm correct) and it bricked, I managed to access TWRP (I have unlocked the bootloader yesterday and I booted the file) and to push a custom rom (ViperOS) but it cannot access any network outside of Wifi.
I can access the bootloader, but since pushing the custom rom to the phone, I cannot flash or boot TWRP.
When I try to flash via flashboot the lastest firmware I have found, it just says "
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
target max-sparse-size: 256MB
error: cannot load 'gpt.bin': No error
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
target max-sparse-size: 256MB
error: cannot load 'bootloader.img': No error" and on and on with every file.
I also messed up by trying in a last resort to repair the partition data, system and cache in TWRP and it changed data & cache from f2fs to ext4 and I don't know if that's a part of the same issue here.
My brother is currently freaking out since he has had the phone for only 2 months but all the apps that bloated the phone made him ask me to do this.
If anyone can create or find the blankflash or just help me or OP, that would be neat.
Sincerely and desperately, Thibziboy

How did you flash it? (Zip through recovery or using fastboot)
If you did it using the recovery you should still be able to acces recovery (or flash one with fastboot) ...
Someone should help urgently! its very important cos virtually all users who tried to update or downgrade their devices got a hard bricked device as the end result. Please don't let this devices useless in our hands. Thanks

It's a fastboot command
Look at how he typed it in on the command prompt with the resulting output in his post
Requires you to have fastboot setup - in his case he was using mfastboot from Motorola although the standard fastboot will probably have the same result

Like I said - the commands are in the post that he wrote! Have you read that post and looked at what commands were typed to generate that output?
It was
mfastboot getvar all
Still no solution?
