LightFlow - exchange account over gmail - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
first of all. I'm using 3.71 legacy version on my N5x.
Yesterday I added 2 exchange accounts to my gmail and I wanted to set different LED colour blinking notif.
In LF I added both accounts over "pre-defined app list" and all settings (except colour of LED) are the same as for primary gmail account.
But I noticed that LED blinkin don't work. When new email arrives, LED jus blink once and that's all...
I've also done "test mode" for notification and I noticed, that I have to select "exclude from sleep mode" for LED started to blink as excpeted.
But than, in "real mode" it doesn't work.
Any solution?
Thank you.

Desire - No notification for emails

I added a gmail ac and now I get no notifications for emails from my non-gmail ac via the flashing led or a vibrate, although I do get an envelope in the notification bar. I got them all before and all the correct settings are ticked for vibrate and flashing led. Have read others have this problem and it seems to be linked to having a gmail ac and not a googlemail which I had previously. All other notifications are fine - just email where it doesn't work. Anyone have any answers?

Notification light on flashing for new Gmail

Am I missing something, I don't get the notification light to flash when I get new emails with gmail app, it's ticked in the setting for it to do this, but it's not.
The Gmail app has the notification option ticked - although there is no specific option for notification lights in there.

[Q] My moto 360 no longer vibrates when getting a message (or notification)

Hi
My watch no longer vibrates when I get a notification or message. It's there if I look manually, but I don't get notified by it. It still vibrates when getting a call or a alarm, so the vibrate function is still functional.
Anyone have any idea what could be the reason?
Thanks in advance
Yup, noticed this too after updating to 5.1.1
This is happening to me too. I hope there is a resolution soon. Missed a meeting.
By design, the watch only vibrates on events that your phone would vibrate for. is it possible you hvae a setting on your phone that is set not to vibrate on messages for some reason?
Are these meetings in Google Calendar? For some reason Google turned of notification by default recently in Google Calendar.
- Go to calendar.google.com
- Go to Settings, Calendar tab
- 'Edit notifications' for your calendar name
- Add a Popup notification
Not sure why they turned this off by default. Pissed off many.

WhatsApp notification LED color not working

So WhatsApp lets you set an LED color for a Private message and a different color for group message, I can't seem to get the private one to work as the color i set. It shows white regardless of what color i specify.
Anyone facing this issue too?

Having same issue with s9 plus, seems a software issue as I can't find the led colour settings in the settings menu or developer options, always purple for WhatsApp and selected green in every section of WhatsApp settings
It works fine for me now. I disabled and then I enabled the led again and now the color are as should they do

No joy
Still no joy with that but thank anyway fella
I was having this issue also - no notifications, no LED, no badges on WhatsApp on my very new S9.
When I first brought the phone it was fine, and then it stopped working strangely... turns out when I went into Settings > Apps > WhatsApp - that the notifications had been changed to blocked - very weird!
Anyway, I switched that off blocked and now all works OK
Also had this issue. How to fixed:
- clean WhatsApp cache from settings-apps-whatsapp-memory
- disable and enable again led indicator in phone settings
- select led color to none in WhatsApp settings, exit to chats list, open settings again and select green color.
Done.

I did follow your idea but tried a different order
1 - Disabled LED
2 - Set LED in WhatsApp to none
3 - Re enabled LED
4 - Set LED in WhatsApp to required color
Above steps worked for me.

S9 LED Indicator

Hey everyone. I'm coming from phones that haven't had always on displays so I didn't really think it was necessary but now that I've turned it off I noticed that when I get notifications the LED doesn't work for anything except my work e-mail through the outlook app. No gmail, allo, hangouts etc. I've also turned off edge notification and tried toggling the LED notifications, rebooting and a bunch of other stuff. Am I missing something simple? It seems like I should be able to get an LED notification for everything even if they are the same color.
Edit: whoops i totally meant to post this in the questions forum.. if the mods could move it that would be great >_<
I've got the same issue, I can't find settings to adjust led

You have to do it in the app settings by going to settings/app/ pick your app then go in notifications /notifications /importance and change it to urgent.
I've done this but it's still not working !

Sorry! Working here
Mine is working, but I noticed that there seems to be a timeout on the LED. So if I don't clear the notification or look at the message or email then LED will stop flashing ( approx 30 minutes). During that time I have opened the home screen and dragged down notifications view from the status bar, but as I said I have not cleared or viewed emails or messages
Well, i'm happy it's working for you but in my case it seems gmail app don't accept led notification at all.

Yes you are right , just tested and sent an email to my gmail account and the LED does not flash although I get a lockscreen notification . However I also use the samsung mail app to get gmail and when that synchronises with gmail, then the LED will flash.
I had a look at the settings in the gmail account , but can't see anything obvious

Yes, Samsung email app is working but take's so much time to synchronise, i hope Google will found a fix soon because Gmail app seems to have this problem with Oreo because not only Samsung phones have that issue!
I use an app called Light Flow, it allows you to set notification colours for various apps, e.g. Blue for Facebook, Green for Whatsapp. I absolutely love it, can see what notification you have just by the flashing colour
Just got S9 two days ago .
Can the Lightflow App enable the LED to flash notifications while screen is ON ...
BUT Always On Display is off. ?
I was also wondering the Lightflow App says it needs control over notifications and messages calendars etc. Is it reliable enough to not miss an appointment ?
