Problem with my charger or not? - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Hi guys,i have a problem with the original charger of my nexus 5x which i bought before 20 days. Sometimes when i try to charge my phone and connect my charger with the power shocket at the screen of my phone says the word "charging". If i disconnect the charger from the power shocket and connect it again it says "rapidly charging" and after some minutes change and says "quick charging" I know that the charging at the beginning starts rapidly and after becomes quickly this is not a problem i think. My problem is why sometimes at the beginning of the charging says only "charging" and not "rapidly charging" If i disconnect it and connect it again works well. My charger has any problem?

Possibly. Where did you purchase your second charger from? Is it certified by Benson Leung? Lastly which type of cable is it: USB C to C or USB C to A?
Also, don't reply to your own thread (or PM someone) if nobody has responded to you within 24 hours. It's against XDA rules and your time is not more important than anyone else's.

Oh ok, I read it as you bought another charger 20 days before you got the phone. I apologize.
Have you noticed the charging time increasing? Example, instead of it charging in 90 minutes, now it charges in 2 hours. Does the cable get bent up when stored or the cable ends look misaligned?

When the charging starts rapidly and end quickly it makes 90 minutes for full charge. I havent charge my phone with charging so i dont know if makes more tine to charge!

This is because custom wiring in there charging cables, reset the device with the cable plunged in and it should start.
I've also seen that my phione stops charging when the temperature gets too high. If I wait a while for it to cool off, I can continue to charge it.
charging problems
hello. i have arhd 3.3, 12.41 radio. i put my phone into wall socket last night at 23 30 and this morning at 5:30 phone was still charging at 73%. at 6 30 it was at 83%. then i switched it off and back on, pluged the charger in, and the led went green in like 2 minutes. what's this? i have the phone for 3 days now. does it take that long to charge or is it a rom problem? i am using the original charger.
looks like a rom problem. Best way to know will be trying different roms.
dont know if it is a rom problem. i think is a radio problem.
install current widget and see what the input milli ampage is. This should give you an idea of if your having a charging issue. Also when you have charged to true 100% (Not when the LED goes green but when current widget says you are no longer receiving a current (0 Mah)) then reboot to recovery and wipe the battery statistics. I can't see the radio giving you an issue on charging, unless it was using almost more juice than you are putting in. The only time I have ever seen that behaviour is when using a USB charging cable and navigation at the same time. Hope this helps.
i am using the charger that came with the device that uses indeed an usb cable connected to it.

As the charger supplied is actually a wall charger and is rated to supply the device with more "juice" than a standard USB socket (i think are rated for 1mah charging??) The scenario I am using is when you use a phone for navigating and have it plugged into a 12v socket in a car using a USB adapter which will only give the lowest permitted power rating.
so......i think i have a problem. when i plug the phone into the wall socket it says charging(usb) when i plug it in laptop usb using the cable the same charging(usb). wasn't it supposed to say charging(ac)?

Click to expand... Click to collapse Not sure about that, but even so my DHD will charge from flat in less time than yours was plugged in, how warm / cold was the room you had the phone charging in? Possibly it's getting too hot whilst charging which would lead to the phone reducing the charge rate?
now it;s on charge from about 30 min. it's not even warm. the battery is reported to have 27*
You might be having a damaged battery try replacing it with a new one.
the phone is new. could it be because of setcpu 230-1228?

Yeh being informed that it is chargng over USB when in the well is definitely wrong. I suggest trying to get another cable or something like a newer style blackberry charger. Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Original cable charger causing "Slow Charging" message
Hi guys, it's been a year I have the LG G3 but since one-two months, it shows the USB like charging message "Slow charging..." when I plug it to the wall and in fact it is slow charging because I tried a new charger that shows me 35 minutes remaining at some point but mine showed 1 hour 35 minutes. I did some tests and the problem seems from the cable, like I tried using the cable with a Nexus 5 and it showed "Charging over USB" instead of "Charging on AC" with my new bought cable. However, it was the original one that came with my G3 and it used to work perfectly. So is there any way to fix this cable? Is it normal that a cable becomes unusable after a year? (knowing I usually take care of it well..) I tried searching google and checking another thread here but I didn't find any useful info on how to fix a previously working cable. Thanks.
Just get a different cable. The lg charger itself should be a 1.8 amp. I'm personally using a 2amp with the original cord, It would tell me slow charging but with the another cord it tells me fast charging as well. Cables do go bad.

Click to collapse When connected to the AC adapter does the tablet indicate it is charging by displaying the battery level on the screen while powered off? You can try: Make sure you are using the USB cable that came with it as some others may not be properly wired for the tablet to charge. A different AC power adapter and make sure it is at least 2 Amps (2000ma) ~5.3 volts output Try connecting to the USB on a computer. You should see the battery indicator show almost as soon as you connect it. You may also see the computer try to install drivers for it or if the drivers are there it should recognize it to some degree. It will NOT charge when connected to a PCs USB port while it is turned ON. It will charge while it is OFF but at a very slow rate. Leave it OFF and let it charge for about 10 hours then safely disconnect and see if it will turn on.
Warp Charger No Longer Warp Charging
Just as the title says my warp charger no longer warp charges, it's been sitting here plugged into for the last hour and it's only just now hitting 50%. Havent notice the issue before until now, tried different outlets, different cables, for the record I'm using the cable that comes with the charging brick. The logo no longer pops up and says WARP CHARGE either whether the device is powered on or not. Any input would be appreciated.
there is already a thread about this and wrong section. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/help/warp-charge-issues-9-5-7-9-5-8-t3944013
