Even works on cm14!
Bootloader + modem seems to work just fine on cm14.

Nice. I had flashed Resurrection Remix ROM a few days ago, but it wasn't stable. Rebooted several times when I tried to manually input a phone number in dialer. Also, it took far too long to boot. About twice as long as Stock. So now I am back to Stock, still rooted on 30D & I just got hit with an OTA update notification.
How is CM 14 doing for you in regards to heat issues, Bluetooth connectivity and camera quality?

I don't use my g3 for daily use so I can't tell you about what issues. The Bluetooth seems to work, but I haven't tested it totally yet. I need to update the g3 vendor and configs to 30e and make sure nothing is broken.

From where do I download the SU.zip file?

Working so far! Thank You!

Hi and thanks for the uploads! My questions is, if I'm already on stock 30D what files do I need to flash in order to only update. Or do I need to flash the complete 1.1GB package? Thanks in advance!

Thanks. Just flashed it. In the Software Version it still displays D85130d. Is it something I missed?

Used TWRP to dirty flash Complete, Boot Repack, and latest SU from the link in post 1 of the 30d thread, in that order, on a phone with 30d rooted, and everything seems to be working correctly. Still rooted, showing 30e in software version.

tha's because you didn't want to flash the whole rom. You're bootloader and modem are on 30E, but you're still using the 30D rom.

Ok, I understand what I did and thank you for the explanation. I'm kinda of a noob when it comes to ROMs and for a moment I thought this was the OTA from D to E but breakdown into separate files. Guess I have to flash the ROM compelety. Again, thanks for all the work to do!

Did it boot up normally, or did you have to go through the process of setting up a new phone? (enter email, restore apps, etc) Thanks.

So this only changes the software version. I'm on
D85130D, is there anything different in this ROM.??
Another question. If I only want to run the stock without root what do I flash.

Yes. Dirty flash (just cleared cache and dalvik, but not data or full wipe) preserved all settings. Took a couple of minute to boot and update apps, but everything was preserved. Only dirty flash if you are coming from stock or rooted stock, not from any other rom.

Dirty Flashed using TWRP 3.0 over 30D (Rooted+Stock) by clearing Dalvik and Cache.
* First boot took a while.. roughly 20-25 minutes for Optimizing App (as I have around 250 Apps)
* Took 23% of my battery (flashing to first boot -- Surprised!)
* Ubuntu 16 no longer detecting phone (no charging or MTP) was working fine before update
* Lost Root Access -- SuperSU no longer works.. says SU Binary not installed (was working before)
* Tried KingRoot 4.8.2 for temp root , NO LUCK! (root is gone)
* Rebooted - Ubuntu is detecting the phone now
* Bloatware are back
googled .. couldn't find any root method for this update.
Anyone has info.. how to root 30E?

UPDATE
=======
Battery's dropping FAST!!! (from 77% to 66% in few minutes of standby)
UPDATE 2
========
Flashed Boot Repack, and latest SU .. ROOT is back!
Battery Draining FAST!
This one is a working method 30E+ROOT+TWRP.
Thanks

Working fine so far. Thanks a lot!

Worked for me too. Thanks.
BTW, I did the dirty flash option. and followed danam's post.

So for clarity, I just want to make sure I'm doing this right if someone can chime in. I currently have a D851 with Lollipop 5.0 CloudyG3 2.5 rom unrooted with TWRP recovery. If i wanted to upgrade to 30E KDZ, i have to do the following:
1. upgrade to 30e kdz firmware using LG Flash Tool
2. use twrp to flash the complete flashable zip
thats all I have to do?

If you flash the KDZ, it'll erase TWRP and you won't be able to get root.

[How-To][Tutorial] Downgrade Kit Kat 4.4.2 to JB 4.1.2

Hi,
I am just writing these steps to help those who want to downgrade from KK to JB due to any reason. Please use these steps at your own risk.
Some Background:
Recently I updated my Razr M to KK, it was Locked and Unrooted, but with the help of Twelroot and Motopocalypse I rooted and unlocked the BL.
Now somehow I didn't like the KK and wanted to go back to JB 4.1.2 because I was now having unlocked BL and rooted phone so it was easy but need to follow some steps to successfully downgrade to JB. So an unlocked BL and rooted with KK is must.
Prerequisite:
USB drivers for Razr M must be installed before proceeding.
Steps:
1. download the firmware file [Android 4.1.2
Blur_Version.98.30.1.XT907.Verizon.en.US] from http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=8
2. extract the above archive and replace the XML file with the one in attachment.
3. put the phone into fastboot mode and flash the firmware with RSD Lite (attached)
4. reboot and now you have JB 4.1.2
If you want to install root application again and also want to flash custom recovery then please follow the Post#5 [ATTACK] (thanks ATTACK)
Note : for custom recovery you will need the fastboot.exe if you don't have it then install minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.1.3_setup.exe(attached).
Put the phone in fastboot mode, copy the recovery to c:\ and execute the below command :
fastboot flash recovery [Path to recovery image]
If it help you then don't forget to press Thanks button !
Forgive my ignorance but this won't downgrade the kernel will it? I'm hoping it's possible to go from the newest OTA to the stable CM11 but I'm guessing this is new kernel JB. Either way thanks if I can't go to stable CM11 I'll stick with rooted 4.1.2.
Once you have a unlocked bootloader, you do not need to use "root programs". All you need to do is flash a custom recovery via Mfastboot / fastboot then flash SuperSU / Superuser.
In dhacker29's folder there are 2 different recoveries.
"msm8960" is for 4.1.2
"KITKAT" is for 4.4.2

The steps are tested by my 2 times, and there shouldn't be any problem. Make sure you have installed the correct drivers.
Please ensure that your bootloader is unlocked and shows BL unlocked status code 3 on BL screen.
I was also able to successfully flash back to JB with House of Moto via fast boot and full data wipe. It would not work with Universal or Keep Data, had to do full data wipe. Just another alternative :good:

Thanks You Its a Success Downgrade From 4.4 stock > CM11 > Stock rom 4.1 Thank you so much !!!
For those undergoing the downgrade process in RSD Lite and it takes forever for it to finish and the system ends up without data/signal, you need to RSD Lite flash again in order to regain signal. I believe the flashing was sluggish due to the jump from 4.4.2 to 4.1.2 and the many changes that were reflashed.

We have a wiener!
Thank you so much for the guide. After a lot of trial and error (mostly error), I thought that I had bricked my lovely XT907. I finally restored KitKat by flashing the 4.4.2 firmware with the edited XML file (deleting lines with "Getvar", "var" and "oem" in them), then followed your guide to the letter and found myself with a perfectly functional phone once again. No more sticky fastboot loops or audio-related crashes for me!
Lovely guide - thanks again!

Use the old Xposed Installer v2.6.1 with TW 4.4.4, and you can directly install the xposed framework within the app.
Just a heads-up for anyone having trouble flashing any of these. I tried several times and re-downloaded the modem and the full firmware. They failed multiple times in multiple versions of odin(for me). I gave up on the modem but kept working on the full and it finally took but I was stuck at t-mo boot screen more than once and it wouldn't fully boot. Finally I flashed the newest twrp before taking any other measures and it finally booted.

In case it gets stuck at T-Mobile boot screen after successful firmware flash, just hold the power button till your device turns off,
Then go into stock recovery by using power+home+volume up button and do a factory reset.
It should boot fine.

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to list that I did that also. For me at least this S4 was very stubborn to take on this flash. I was mostly posting so if anyone else ran into this so they wouldn't panic. All is well now though. It came around eventually.:good:
I searched this out because I'm looking for a Stagefright fix for the S4 (my wife's phone). It looks like the other ROMs were last updated prior to Stagefright, so I expect they are not fixed. However, I'm OK with stock as long as it is rooted.
Are there any issues with rooting? I read in this article that T-Mobile put a SetUID restriction on the kernel and the normal process for TWRP and SuperSU doesn't work.
The author was writing about the UVUAMDL firmware, and offers a link to download a patched MDL kernel with the restriction removed.
Since this thread is about the UVUFOK3 (a later version), it seems likely that the SetUID restriction still exists. However the article also says "MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON UVUAMDL build OTHERWISE THIS KERNEL WILL BREAK THINGS IN YOUR PHONE!" So does that mean "UVUAMDL only - nothing newer or later" or "UVUAMDL or later"? No way to know since the article has not been updated since UVUAMDL.
Has any one successfully rooted the S4 after installing this firmware? (M919UVUFOK3_M919TMBFOK3_TMB)
Is the kernel provided in M919UVUFOK3_Stock_Kernel.zip already "fixed" to remove the root restriction?

Nothing is modified as it is a stock package, stock kernel is only required if you flash some custom kernel and wanted to go back to stock by just installing the kernel instead of full ODIN.
This is what I always use to root:
1) Install latest TWRP via ODIN
2) Boot into recovery
3) Flash latest SuperSU zip using TWRP.

The phone currently is running Wicked V8 custom ROM, so I think I need to flash everything. What are the steps for updating all three; firmware, kernel, and modem? Is there a particular order to flash them in Odin?
I read in another place that the firmware contains the Modem so I wouldn't need to flash the modem in addition to the full firmware (M919UVUFOK3_M919TMBFOK3_TMB.zip). Is that true in this case? Does it include both modem and kernel?
Edit - After searching out how to open tar.md5 files I can now see that the full firmware does include the kernel and modem files. So installing that one should sufficient to update everything.

0) Before starting - copy UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip, Titanium Backup APK, and Titanium Backup data onto ExtSD card.
1) start phone into download mode, Use ODIN to flash M919UVUFOK3_M919TMBFOK3_M919UVUFOK3_HOME.tar.md5
2) restart into stock, let it stabilize.
If any problems or stuck on Tmo screen, restart into stock recovery and do factory reset
3) once booted into stock FW, power off.
4) restart into download mode, use Odin to flash openrecovery-twrp-2.6.0.0-jfltetmo.tar
5) boot into TWRP
6) install UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
7) reboot into Android - phone is now rooted again and ready to go.
8) restore user apps (not system apps or data) from TiBu, restore TiBu XML data for SMS and call logs, etc.

[6045][Bootloader] MM Hybrid Bootstack

Background
As we all know, MM update removed the fastboot commands from the bootloader. The only way to get them back was to flash a zip by @famewolf if you were already on a custom 6.0.1 ROM.
What is this Hybrid Bootstack?
It's a zip containing the following
aboot - LP
boot.img - MM (Stock boot.img modified to work with 5.0.2 bootloader)
hyp - MM
rpm- MM
sbl1- MM
splash.img - LP (Required for bootlogo to show properly
twrp-3.0.0-1
tz- MM
Why use Hybrid Bootstack?
You will keep fastboot commands while taking advantage of the new MM firmware and O.S.
Download
6045I Hybrid Bootstack
Prerequisites
TWRP (Means you must be on 5.0.2 or a custom 6.0.1 ROM)
Installation
If you are on 5.0.2:
1.) Install TWRP
2.) Install your custom 6.0.1 ROM of choice
3.) Install the hybrid bootstack
4.) Install root if you wish (NOTE: you will need to reflash SuperSU if you were rooted before this zip)
If you are on 6.0.1 (Custom ROM not stock)
1.) Reboot to TWRP
2.) Install the hybrid bootstack
3.) Install root if you wish (NOTE: you will need to reflash SuperSU if you were rooted before this zip)

Unless there's a 6045Y MM based ROM it should work just fine. It's for 6045I based ROMs with the June 1st security patch.

What rebooting problem from TWRP?
So if I understand it corectly it is only for 6045I and will not work on 6045Y because it uses modified boot.img (kernel) for 6045I. If Yes, please mention it in OP, because upon the thread name it looks like it is suitable for any 6045 variant.

Sometimes it panics on reboot it's a kernel issue with the latest TWRP I made. For 6045Y to boot M you needed the new bootloader so I assume the same 6045I bootloader from 5.0.2 will work as well. The ROMs based on 6045I also use the same boot.img there's no difference in kernels. I just unpacked it so the 5.0.2 bootloader can read it.

I ran the 6045Y bootloader on my 6045i for about 3 weeks at one point..never noticed an issue.
Any chance you have the Stock idol 3 5.5 6045O bootstack? I may have corrupted my hyp.

This did not work on my 60450 . After first install over cyanogenmod 13 (android 6 custom rom) , was getting kernel panics. Installed another 6.0 ROM and it fixed the panic but I never got fastboot capability back. After discovering it did not work, I flashed back to twrp-3-2-1 which essentially bricked my device because I cannot access twrp/recovery or fastboot. My device is working and boots into android 6, but does not have root access. I'm severely in need of some sort of rooting method within the android 6 environment. If I can find that hopefully I can get TWRP back. Any suggestions?

Alcatel Flasher can flash an older-version, 5.x-compatible TWRP (3.0.0 in original post, or 3.1.0) back to the recovery partition.
To boot newer roms incompatible with 5.x aboot, use lk2nd to chain-flash boot.img extracted from that custom rom (TWRP 3.2.1 also works that way).

[LP][MM] Lenovo K4 Note STOCK Roms (S152) (S232 volte)

Hi Guys!
This is not a "How to Flash Stock Rom Tutorial"
I made this thread because these ROMs are not easily available and people have to install a lot of OTA updates to get to them.
Keeping it short, this is a thread for latest stock ROMs for Lenovo K4 Note/Vibe X3 Lite (both Lollipop and Marshmallow) which is flashable via SP Flash Tool.
The last Lollipop Stock Rom is S152 and the Latest Marshmallow stock rom is S232 (supports VOLTE).
Previously, we have to flash old lollipop rom and then update it around 5 times via OTAs to get to the last lollipop version i.e S152 and then and only then we could update it to Marshmallow via an OTA and even after updating to MM we still needed to install around 5 OTA updates to get to the latest version of the ROM i.e currently S230 (as on 12 Dec 2016).
For ROOTING:
* Use Kingroot APK for Lollipop
* Use TWRP method by flashing SuperSu zip for Marshmallow (any version of MM)
"BOOTLOADER CAN BE EASILY UNLOCKED IN BOTH THE ROMS (same method)"
LINKS: THESE ARE DIRECTLY FLASHABLE via SP FLASH TOOL

I'll try to update the thread with latest links/versions whenever possible.
Click thanks if helped.
Cheers! Bye!
I saw somewhere a link for the full S219 ROM, cant't recall where right now. If I stumble upon it again, I'll post it here.

I had same issue, tried everything. Flashing via bootloader didn't work.
Flashing only stock recovery via SP tools sent my phone to boot loop. Had to flash whole rom again to get stock recovery.
Here is what I did.
Download S218 rom, flash all except cache & user data (This will preserve your data & apps, but root will be removed)
Download S219 from here, flash manually via stock recovery.
Update to S230 via OTA.
Root again with same procedure for MM.

hi sir please can i flash mm latest rom directly,?
i have 147 row my phone was rooted and cant update so will it be possible?
Hi guys,
I lost nvram, lost the IMEI.
Got a nvram from internet, Works, but no VoLTE. I tried to change the IMEI using maui meta. It shows errors as nvram database is not for S232.
Can someone give me their nvram from S232(which has VoLTE) ? Don't worry, I'll change it to my IMEI number/ serial to the values in the box. I need my IMEI back.

[ROM/FW][STOCK][PIE] LG V30 (Joan) US998 30b TWRP flashable firmware ROM

LG V30 US998-30b ROMHi!
This Rom is 99% Stock. 3.2.3-7 TWRP should first be installed. Then you can install this Rom and have Pie with working TWRP.
WARNINGS!!!!!
Only for North American variants -- EXCEPT T-mobile H932. NOT for H930, H930G, H930D, H930DS!
This zip is created from the original KDZ. It contains almost the complete 30b firmware, but the partition table rewriting part and recovery image is removed. I changed the system.img, so you do not have to reinstall TWRP (recovery-from-boot.p deleted) when ROM is booted. I also changed the partition size of system.img, so the vendorized people can install this too without having problems because of a too small system partition. This is a continuation of westwood24's idea and work, I've updated it to the newest fw version and edited / advanced it a bit. I followed his idea and made this for users who can not take OTA's because they have Custom Recovery / Root installed.

Features
Stock build made from official KDZ
Stock Build.prop (only 2 extra lines added for DTS, full weather lockscreen)
Unrooted
System image modified to keep TWRP
System image size shrunk for being able to flash this on a smaller system partition, mainly caused by vendorizing
Removed dm-verity
Removed rctd (LG's root checker tool daemon)
Enabled opt-encrypt, it's your choice now if you want to encrypt your phone, it's no more forced. TWRP now is capable of decryption (both AOSP and stock) since a few versions
Installation
What you need
Unlocked Bootloader [How to do]
Working TWRP installed (should be installed already, otherwise you wouldn't need this zip )[Link to newest unofficial TWRP]
When you need Root, Latest Magisk [Download]
LATEST ZIP
john-fawkes.com US99830b.zip [Click to Download]
OLDER ZIPS
AFH ZIPS [Download]
John-fawkes.com [Download]
How to install
When you are still on Nougat,
you should start fresh: Reboot to recovery using button combo or reboot app (needs root; btw, Magisk offers this possibility too: Menu -> Modules -> three dot menu top right - Reboot to recovery)
Then flash this TWRP.img via image flashing function in TWRP, reboot to recovery again (for fully working new recovery) and do a backup, then copy this backup to your PC.
Then initiate a factory reset. Wipe your system partition too in TWRP advanced wiping menu, copy the 30b firmware zip to your SD and install it. Reboot and enjoy
From Oreo:
For clean install: Factory reset and wipe system
You can also keep your data by simply dirty flashing the zip. *Be aware that problems may occur, maybe you need to do a factory reset to start fresh*
Flash the 30b zip, then Magisk zip when you need root, then reboot to System = you're DONE
P.S.: could be, that you first need to boot up your fresh install and set it up before you can flash magisk.
At the first time you boot to system, it can be TWRP says No OS installed. You can ignore it.
If TWRP asks if you want to install SU, hit no (in newest TWRP SU is disabled, and the option to install the TWRP app is disabled too.)
Rom Version
Android Version: 9.0 Pie
Android security patch level: 2019-09-1
Don´t forget to hit the thanks-button if you like this zip! :good:
You want to help me with a [donation?] Not asking for it, I have fun doing this for you, but feel free...
